From its vast oceans to its towering mountains, the earth displays its beauty in various forms. It is the place where life flourishes with ecosystems supporting a wide array of plants and animals. The Earth is also an environment susceptible to the impacts of human activities such as deforestation, has the capacity to heal itself if given the opportunity. As inhabitants of this planet, it is our responsibility to protect and preserve the Earth for the future generations. Environment Day Is this the environment that surrounds me? Broken bottles and charred pieces of glass, wadded up newspaper tossed on the grass, pouring of concrete and teaming out trees, this is the environment that surrounds me? Poisons and insecticides sprayed on our food, oceans filing with thick oil crude, all sea life destined to slow, awful doom. These are the things we are to consume? There has to be something that someone can do, Like raise the awareness to those around you, That if we don’t heed the problem at hand. It’s your life that’s at stake, the destruction at man. Mills pumping out iron, expelling yellow fumes Airlines netting caustic gases from fuels, Weapons at destruction tested at desolate sites, And this is the Air that is to sustain life? The earth The earth is the planet that we live in and it is the fifth largest planet. It is positioned in third third place from the sun. Our earth is the only planet that sustains humans and other living species. The vital substances such as air, water and land make it possible. The rocks make up the earth that has been around for billions of years. In fact, water covers 70% of the surface. It includes the oceans that you see, the rivers, the sea and more. The remaining 30% is covered with land. The earth moves around the sun in an orbit and takes around 364 days to complete one round around it. Earth has all the necessary amenities and a mild climate that is suitable for all the inhabitants of the planet. Pratiksha C.Ghimire Class: 10 Sikha Thapa Class: 7 Pragi Kharel Class: 7

jif{ M #^, cª\s !), efb} @)*) g]kfn ;Djt !!$#, Aug./Sep. 2022 9 DNA DNA, short form of Deoxyribonucleic Acid, is a fundamental molecule that carries the genetic instruction necessary for the growth, development, functioning, and reproduction of all known living organism. It is often referred to as the blueprint of life. DNA is found in the cells of all living organism, including plant, animals, fungi and bacteria. The structure of DNA is a double helix, resembling a twisting ladder, which two strands made up of nucleotide. Each nucleotide consists of a sugar molecule(deoxyribose), a phosphate group and are of four nitrogenous bases: Adenine (A), Thymine(T), Cytosine(C), and Guanine(G). The pairing of these bases, known as complementary base pairing (A with T and C with G) forms the rungs of DNA ladder and provides a basis for the molecule’s ability to replicate and transmit genetic information. DNA is responsible for the inheritance of traits from one generation to another. Genes are segments of DNA that contain specific instructions for building and maintaining an organism. The arrangement and sequence of these genes with in the DNA determine an individual’s unique characteristics and traits. Pranjal Khatra Class: 10 How can student contribute to positive environment ? Pollution of any kind eats up nature from the inside. It harms the environment and makes it difficult for any forms of organism to survive. Pollution has been a major and harmful problem in my society. The local people of my locality are the major cause of this problem. They have made a dumpsite beside a river, they don’t follow any values to throw waste properly and they have also started to throw plastic in hills. Local people are the major of this problem. Due to unmanaged pollution in my locality it has created many obstacles such as air pollution, dirty water, drying of watersheds, loss of habitat of animals and loss of decomposers. These situations das even killed many people due to a rise in bacteria. This whole situation can be managed by educating the local person and taking serious action against the arising problem. The person who is throwing waste should also be caught and give punishment. At last I would like to humble ask you to act against this major problem. Sincerely your, Aaryan Aaryan Shrestha Class: 9

Every sailor would first pray to the kraken and prepare a sacrifice. Once a boy went out on a sail on his dad’s ship. He got a weird feeling but right then a tentacle came out of nowhere and then smashed into the ship. Then, they saw eyes in the water. Then, more tentacles came.
