Senior Pastor, James David Gailliard
JAMES CASH APP: $JDGAILLIARD
the husband, father, son
Born and raised in North Philadelphia, he is one of three siblings.
Spiritual father to thousands of families that call him Pastor
Gailliard, Pastor G, yet his first family call him dad, granddad,
husband and son. He is married to the lovely Angela W. Gailliard.
Together they have three sons (Matthew, Evan, and Austin), three
daughters (Jada, Jasmine, and Jacey), and three grand-daughters
(Makayla, Kyla, and Xada with their mother, Latoya). He cherishes
the memories of his late mother and father, Ruth and Wesley, and
his oldest son Kyol.
JAMES
the pastor
Pastor Gailliard has been pastoring for over 20 years; he has
been Senior Pastor to Word Tabernacle church for over 16.
He planted the church with 14 members which has grown into
a mega-church that is housed inside the Impact Center. The
Impact Center also houses nine Centers dedicated to human
economic and community development. His wife, Angela is
the Chief Corporate Officer for WTC. It's true; alongside
every successful man is his favor! If I had to describe him in
one sentence it would be he meets people where they are,
but refuses to leave them as they are. Simply put, he
believes in EveryOne Thriving!
JAMES
the representative
After studying and covering, he still makes time to serve in the
NC General Assembly. Elected to serve a second term to
represent Nash County and Rocky Mount House District 25, he is
committed to debating and amending legislation that provides
the greatest opportunity for everyone. He serves on the
following committees: Appropriations, Appropriations-Capital,
Education K-12, Education-Community Colleges, and Health.

the wife, mother, daughter
Associate Pastor, Stephanie has been married to Jason Battle for 16

brought about two beautiful daughters (McKinley, the oldest
daughter, and Myah, better known as her "mini-me"). They also have
a son, Jason Jr. Pastor Stephanie is the daughter of Donald and Lori
Moss, and she's the oldest of three siblings. She often talks about

family as BattleStrong.
STEPHANIE

Pastor Stephanie became a licensed minister in 2016, and was
later ordained as a pastor in 2018. She has been serving three
years in full-time ministry as associate pastor. She is also the
Director of the Centers for Faith and Family, and Health and
Wellness. These Centers cover our member strengthening,
member services, member support, counseling, special
worship services, and health and wellness. When asked, why
did she accept the call, she stated, "I was too scared not to
answer it. I didn't want God to get me."
STEPHANIE
the intercessor
Did you know that Pastor Stephanie has a ministry called
W.I.F.E. Prayer? It is the acronym for Wives interceding in
Faith and Expectancy. She has a burden for marriages.
It's her desire to reap havoc on the enemies camp. Along
with other dedicated sisters, they meet through
telephone conferencing Monday mornings at 5:30am
interceding for wives and their husbands. The purpose of
W.I.F.E. Prayer Ministry is to equip, empower, and
encourage wives to fight, the real enemy (Satan), with
love & prayer. Visit the site at www.wifeprayer.com.

the husband, father, son
Kyle married his lovely wife, Danielle Alston on July 10th, eleven years ago.
They were blessed with three beautiful daughters (Kendall Elizabeth, Oliva
Noelle, and Emery Grace) which he proudly refers to as queens. Pastor
Kyle has an interesting family dynamic. He is one of four siblings. His
mother, Catherine Johnson is also a member of Word. His adoptive mother
(Wanda McKirahan) lives in Florida, both fathers have passed away.
KYLE
the pastor
KYLE Pastor Kyle has been serving in the ministry since 2002. He went into
full-time ministry work in 2012. He was recently promoted to Executive
Pastor. He champions the development of infrastructure of the organization,
provides supportive accountability to staff, ministries and leadership, and
directs and coordinates ministry and programs. When asked, why did he
accept the call, he responded, "We are all called to serve the Church and
community. Every member serving is so important because God creates
opportunities for all of us to "accept the call" in various ways. We have
unique spiritual gifts and natural interests and abilities to use for the
Kingdom! I also love that He intentionally equips people to do the work He
has called us to do. I said yes because God gave me passion for the very
thing He equipped me to do! I couldn't imagine doing anything else. This is
where I'm supposed to be. This is what I'm supposed to be doing! These are
the people with whom I am supposed to be doing it! I've also learned that it
is always best practice and really wise to simply say "yes" to God. He and
his directions haven't failed me yet."
the photographer
Do you need a photographer for your wedding or photo
session? Yes, you guessed it. Pastor Kyle, along with his
wife Danielle, make up the perfect team behind New

amazing ability to communicate and make his clients
comfortable while Danielle is the expert when it comes
to details. Check out their Facebook and Instagram

Almost everyone will experience a traumatic event at some point in Trauma can feel “big” or “small,” but its impact is the same.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS COUNSELING
UNDERSTANDING THE EFFECTS OF TRAUMA con't.
HEALING FROM TRAUMA
Understand The Reason
Understand the source of it so that you know what has happened and why this is affecting your life in certain ways.
Get Support
Get support from others outside yourself such as family members, friends, counselors/therapists who work with people going through
similar situations like yours.
Be Patient
Be patient when healing takes place. It does not happen overnight but rather gradually step by step, day by day.
Balance Yourself
This is one of the tips on how to heal from trauma. Besides taking time out of your busy schedule to get support from others outside
yourself, make sure that you also take some time alone each week or month depending on the severity of trauma that occurred to spend
time doing things you enjoy such as reading books, watching funny movies/shows online, going fishing if this is something enjoyable for
you too which takes your mind off any traumas occurring within your own personal life where emotions can suddenly become
overwhelming sometimes having been stressful before without knowing why.
Take Care of Yourself
Remember to take care of yourself as much as possible too! Eat well-balanced meals whenever possible each day, drink plenty of water
throughout the day even if you feel thirsty at times (it can be a sign that your body and mind is already dehydrated), make sure you get
enough sleep every single night before going to bed where this will help reduce stress levels significantly.
Make a Routine
Make a routine for yourself to follow each week/month depending on the severity of trauma that occurred so you have an idea of what can
be done daily or weekly, monthly including outside support from family members, friends, and/or professionals who work with people
going through similar situations like yours.
God’s Views: One of the recurring themes of scripture is God’s power for renewal. Revelation 21:5 describes the Lord as seated on a throne
and saying, “Behold, I am making all things new.” No matter your situation, it is not beyond God’s power to heal and help you move on.
