James D. Gailliard, Senior Pastor My heart is overwhelmed by the expressions of love from our Word family, partners, and friends during Pastor Appreciation Month. Your intentional acts of love reached new heights, and I am truly grateful. Thank you for loving me through the tough times and well as the good times. Word Tabernacle Church is truly my family. It gives me great joy to take this journey with you to reach the hurting, the loss, the unsaved, those without hope, and share the good news of Christ. Thank you for allowing me to be your pastor. God has much more in store for WTC. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I pray God’s choicest blessing for you. May He pour into your lives as you have mine. Thank you for entrusting me with your spiritual walk as the under-shepherd of this house. Thank you for the appreciation dinner for me and Lady G. I love doing ministry with Word Tabernacle Church. We have the best people serving! It’s hard to believe we only have two months left in 2023! Let’s finish strong! I love you Word Tabernacle Church! for our Annual Licensing and Ordination Service. We will baptize, have communion, welcome new members, and license and ordain our new pastors and ministers. This is significant in our church because Scripture tells us, that He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.“ Ephesians 4:12-16 Join US

W O R D T A B E R N A C L E C H I L D R E N ’ S M I N I S T R Y P A R E N T S S E R V I N G S U N D A Y If you are interested in serving on the next Parent Serving Sunday or want to volunteer for this ministry in general, contact Ayona Cooper at (252) 212-8141 or email [email protected]. Sunday, October 29th, the Children’s Ministry had their second Parents Serving Sunday. Parents Serving is opportunity for parents to experience first-hand what’s happening with their children while Sunday Worship and Tuesday Bible Study commences. Every Sunday and Tuesday night, our children are ministered to because of those who volunteer their time and talents. It is a selfless ministry. Anyone with kids, knows that it takes patience, preparation, and creativity to work with our youth. It is also very rewarding. Ayona Cooper, the Director of Children’s Ministry stated, Parent Serving Sunday was initiated to give parents the opportunity to see what takes place with their child in children’s ministry and also allows us to receive the best feedback from our parents. Parents experienced helping another child other than their owns. We are grateful for all the parents that showed up to volunteer on Parent Serving Sunday. Thirteen additional parents assisted this quarter.

HOMECOMING WEEKEND 2023 We had an amazing time celebrating with our WTC family and the community. Homecoming started off with Word Tab Honors with the presentation of the Servant’s Servant Award, Encouragement Award, Endurance Award, Evolution Award, Champion Award, and the Silent and Unseen Award. After the Honors Program, there was food and dancing. Then we had a full day of activities planned for Saturday. Several vendors lined up in the lobby. Our members who have transitioned, their name and member number were retired to our memorial wall. We found out there were some really talented people in our family during Open Mic later that evening. Sunday morning, we rose early for Worship Service. The spirit of praise and worship hit the building like never before and we worshipped the king of kings. There is power in unity. After having our spirits fed, we lined up and enjoyed more dancing, and fed our natural man from the various food truck rodeo. E V E R Y O N E T H R I V I N G
