Hello Word Family! First, allow me to thank you for the outpouring of love shown during Pastor Appreciation Month. I am grateful for
your continued kindness reflected in your heartfelt words and every gift. I am thankful to God that I get to Pastor the best church in
the nation. You are amazing! In a time of uncertainty, when churches are having to close their doors, you have remained faithful in
your giving to the church and ministry, enabling us to continue to impact our community, complete projects, minister to you and
those in need, and advance the Kingdom of God.
I am grateful for your participation in our civic process. The Word tells us that when the righteous are in leadership the people
rejoice. That can only happen when we exercise our right to vote. We are obligated to continue what our ancestors have fought and
died for.
The year 2020 has handed us several challenges, but we've turned those challenges into opportunities, and I believe God is up to
something huge! In the near future, I will be sharing our strategic plan to take us through the first and second quarter of 2021.
Remember, we are still in the midst of a pandemic, so please remember to wear your mask, wash your hands, and wait patiently at a
safe distance. I'm excited about us gathering again, but until we can, remain safe. Blessings and Peace to you and your family.

James David Gailliard

WE ARE FAMILY

#WALKFORHOPE #HOMECOMING2020
Our first Walk For Hope was the opening event on Homecoming
Saturday which benefitted those dealing with Mental Health
issues. What was planned as a one mile walk soon turned into
several miles for most of our families. The weather was perfect;
participants walked at their own pace while enjoying family time
and praying for others. Along the trail were markers with
scriptures and what to pray about. As each person crossed the
final stretch, they received a goody bag filled with snacks to
help rejuvenate their strength. The reward was knowing the
donations from the walk went to the National Alliance on Mental
Health to help those going through.

CHANGE... PROGRESS... Front Entrance Relocated

The Pandemic may have stopped us from doing many things that we love, but it hasn't stopped the
progress at The Impact Center. There has been various renovations started and some have been
completed since we last were all together. The front entrance was relocated so that we could expand the
Word Alive Bookstore. The Chapel was enlarged, adding more seating, making available the choice to host
small weddings, or those wanting a more intimate atmosphere. The appearance of stained glass windows
line both walls featuring a scripture; a magnificent view. Our Executive Board room is equipped with state
of the art equipment featuring four huge monitors. Description and color has been added to the entrances
of The Impact Center along with picnic tables adorned with black and white umbrellas. Beautiful foliage
adds an additional curb appeal to the building . We are all excited about the start of our 2,000 seat
sanctuary. September, we re-opened the sanctuary to 35 members plus staff and ministry workers to
participate during a live service. Our MERT team is available each service to administer temperature
checks, the COVID-19 questionnaire and waiver forms prior to access to the sanctuary. Greeters seat
members according to physical distancing guidelines, masks are required during service, and sanitizing is
encouraged. Attendance at a Sunday and Tuesday November service is now available by registering
through ACS on the website, www.wordtab.net or the Church Life app.

Social Distancing We are so excited about the unifying of
our Pastor and Lady Angela. On August
Renovations have started 22, 2020, the couple said, "I do" during
for New Sanctuary a private ceremony before family and
friends. Pastor Gailliard and Lady
@INTERSECTIONS Angela initially thought about the idea
of a large wedding, but due to the
complexities of COVID-19, they decided
on a very small intimate wedding that
wouldn't pose a health risk to any of
their guests.
As soon as the news hit social media, they were inundated with well wishes. We are
truly excited for the overseer of this house and the favor that has been bestowed upon
him. We embrace this union with our actions and our prayers. As you both take on new
roles, we stand in the gap praying for a healthy long marriage filled with your hearts'
desire, peace, and blessings from your Heavenly Father.
