At Tel Aviv University and Shenkar Entrepreneurship Center we believe that
an entrepreneurial mindset and the entrepreneurship toolkit are a toolset
for life - at both the personal and professional levels. Our mission is to equip
all TAU and Shenkar students with this toolset and everything it contains:
from understanding needs and opportunities, through building a team,
all the way to establishing a new social or business venture. Students of
the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, Law, Medicine, Exact Sciences, Life
Sciences, Design, Engineering and Business will be able to leverage this set
of skills and upgrade everything they aspire to achieve.
The academic program developed by our Center offers students from all
faculties a unique opportunity to take courses in entrepreneurship as part of
their studies for an academic degree. In our Experiential Entrepreneurship
program, comprising a range of extracurricular programs and activities,
students can gain experience by addressing real-life problems presented by
industry and developing market-driven solutions, enjoying an opportunity
to work closely with industry mentors. Finally, we offer our students soft-skills
workshops to round up their experience and prepare them for assimilation
into the workplace.

jumpTAU Startup
Accelerator Program

jumpTAU is an intensive, industry-driven startup accelerator program, aiming
to take student-initiated social or business ventures from the initial idea to
a market-validated business. The program consists of 13 weekly workshops,
in which entrepreneurs develop their solutions with the support of our
mentors – high-level industry experts and business executives. Each week
a new step in venture development is presented by leading entrepreneurs
and educators, in an in-depth, hands-on workshop.
Throughout the session, the teams work and develop their concepts,
together with mentors and other supporting staff. Recently, the accelerator
took upon itself an additional challenge: becoming a platform for developing
and strengthening relations between Jewish and Arab students.
To this end, mixed teams were formed, working together on shared projects,
toward a common goal: the success of their student-initiated venture.
Working together in an intensive and demanding environment that
requires mutual dependence and trust, participants develop meaningful
relationships and a real understanding of the other. Founded by Yair Sakov,
a veteran entrepreneur and venture capitalist, and sponsored by LeumiTech
Israel, this program achieved remarkable results from both the business and
human relationship perspectives.
jumpTAU Startup Accelerator Program of the TAU and Shenkar
Entrepreneurship Center is open to all students from TAU and Shenkar.
Participating startups join a comprehensive program that includes
workshops, personal mentoring, networking, free office space, free office
hours of relevant professionals (legal, financial, etc.), and become part of
our alumni network.

Caremi is an Israeli startup aiming to provide consumer goods
manufacturers with a better understanding of their target audiences'
behaviors and preferences.
Today these manufacturers collect consumer data from a limited
number of branded supermarkets. To expand their source of data
Caremi provides an application through which consumers can scan
and upload receipts from any market and receive discounts or gift
cards in return.
The collected data, anonymized to ensure contributors' privacy
and prevent hacking, is then delivered to Caremi's customers - the
product manufacturers.

By analyzing sounds and diagnosing imminent failures prior to their
occurrence, B-Mute will reduce malfunctions in home appliances,
such as refrigerators and air conditioners, to an absolute minimum.
Our AI-based predictive maintenance chip will alert both suppliers
and insurers of home appliances to the imminent malfunction,
enabling them to provide top-quality service to small businesses and
the general public.

ELVTEK is developing a detection platform that provides accurate,
ultra-fast and affordable testing solutions for diagnosing virus
infections. Based on a patented technology developed by Prof.
Fernando Patolsky from Tel-Aviv University, we offer a new approach
to analyzing saliva samples for the presence of viruses. The procedure
comprises non-invasive sample collection with a disposable
proprietary swab, followed by analysis with a reusable device, to
produce an electrical signal that translates to presence/absence of
the virus.
In a POC (proof of concept) trial targeting the Covid-19 virus we
sampled 100 healthy and sick individuals and obtained complete
matching with results from the reliable PCR tests.

EmergenSigns is set to revolutionize the world of signage. Picture,
for example, an 'Accident Ahead' sign that arrives at the scene even
before the police or ambulance.
Emergencies, as well as routine road maintenance works, are
becoming increasingly dynamic, and yet the process of putting
up temporary warning signage remains slow, still requiring costly
human operators.
EnergenSigns proposes a novel solution: a platform for programmable
visual signage delivered to position (and back) by semi-autonomous
drones. Our disruptive solution sets a new standard for signage
availability: whenever and wherever signs are required, we can prepare
and deliver them in a matter of minutes instead of hours.

The mission of Dog’s Life is to provide dog owners with tools to correct
their beloved pets' undesirable behaviors. Even though most dog
owners regard their pets as family, dogs can be hard for humans to
read, which can result in behavioral problems.
Our solution includes a smart wearable dog collar that tracks the dog’s
activity, alongside an application that analyses the data collected by the
collar. Through this combination, users obtain a better understanding
of their dogs as well as actionable information for effectively addressing
their pet's behavioral problems.
By improving the dogs' wellness, we promote a happier, healthier life
for both the pets and their owners.

occurrence, with millions of bikes stolen worldwide each year,
hampering people's transition to sustainable transportation.
LIPO's mission is to connect with the urban ecosystem and work
toward a greener and more sustainable transportation future.
Using a smart anti-theft dock with a compact and universal design
that can be installed anywhere, LIPO enables riders to move around
using bikes in a safe and worry-free manner from place to place.
LIPO facilitates the easy return of stolen bikes to their owners, and
enables the collection of data on the parking patterns of private bike
riders, which is currently difficult to collect, assisting municipalities in
better managing their infrastructure.
