Repair Programme on Karl Storz Products Program for repairing Karl Storz products, including camera heads, videoscopes, units, and instruments www.ummisurgical.com.my /UMMI SURGICAL Here, I learn some training about how to repair camera heads and light sources. I learn how to change the light bulb and motherboard for light source In Ummi Surgical, all Karl Storz products cannot be repaired here instead of need to be sent back to the Headquarters, in Germany because the staff needs to attend the training from Karl Storz first to get the certificate and approval to repair their products. Thus, there are some products can be repaired and cannot be repaired.

They need to be installed one by one accordingly and neatly. All of the wire connections must be in proper condition so that it can be easy to plug in and plug out. Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Program for repairing Karl Storz products, including camera heads, videoscopes, units, and instruments www.ummisurgical.com.my /UMMI SURGICAL During testing & and commissioning after all the installation, the technical team will do an electrical safety test (EST) on every unit of the camera system while the sales team will check one by one all of the units and equipment that have been bought from the hospital in front of the hospital staff to make sure that all meets the requirements and in good condition. During my internship, I traveled and went to a lot of hospitals in Central Malaysia including the private and public Hospital. All of the flow of testing & commissioning are just same Testing and commissioning are to be carried out on installations at the Hospital in front of the staff to ensure that they are safe and meet the design requirements
Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program for repairing Karl Storz products, including camera heads, videoscopes, units, and instruments www.ummisurgical.com.my /UMMI SURGICAL For the PM of the equipment of Ummi Surgical, the technician team will just do the Electrical Safety Test (EST) for all of the units (that have power supply connceted) During preventive maintenance, I also have experience helping the staff to do an electrical safety test for each unit. I learn how to use the medical electrical safety analyzer by connecting the wire from the unit to the analyzer through the earth connection. This test can be done on a laptop because the analyzer must connect with the laptop. This PM services need to do twice a year. PM is the regular inspection, cleaning and servicing of medical equipment to ensure that they are in good condition and can perform their intended function correctly

During the workshop and live surgery at the Hospital, there will be a technical team and a sales team in the operating theatre room so that anything related to technical problems, can be solved. I also gain experience by helping the team set up all the units and arrange all the instruments to be used by the surgeon. I also gained experience by watching a surgeon doing live surgery. A medical workshop is an intensive educational program for a relatively small group of doctors from a particular specialty while live-streaming surgery is a developing communication platform in medicine
