Hi! I am
Wolfie!

Hi! I am Wolfie and I love stories,
all kinds of stories and especially family stories!

This is my uncle’s diary.
He is one of the most misunderstood animals in the

forest because he used to love meat!
He also liked paying visits to little pigs', goats' and
old grannies’ houses but lately... he had become a vegetarian!

'A vegetarian wolf? How is that possible!', you might wonder.
Well, that was not the only thing that was different
about my uncle.
He was also allergic to dust and rubbish.

He had swollen eyes, an itchy nose and a terrible sneeze.
The doctor told him to live in a clean place but his house was not

the ideal place for him any more.

So, here is the true story of the Big but not so Bad Wolf!

Once upon a time, there was a mother pig with her three little
pigs. They lived happily together but the pigs grew so big that
their mother told them:

'You are too big to live here. This house is too
small for all of us. You must go and build your own houses.'

The three little pigs were surprised at the beginning but they
just loved the idea of living on their own. Just before going away
their mother told them:

‘Remember, remember the planet’s in danger!
Make your houses eco-friendly and be ready
because the Big Bad Wolf is out there... already!'

The truth is that Mr Wolf lived nearby but he was
not interested in pigs any more.

He was worried about the pollution of the environment!

‘The forest is in such a mess!
Everywhere I look there is rubbish, scrap paper,

plastic bottles and cans.
Where are the recycling fans?', he wondered.

‘I wish I knew, what I could do!
I need an answer but who can I ask?
I will come back with a big bag to pick them up!’,

he said to himself.

A few hours later…

Mr Wolf couldn’t believe his eyes! A little pig was picking up
all the scrap paper. ‘What is he going to do with it? Maybe I
should follow him to find out,’ he thought.

The little pig was happy and cheerful. He was making his new
house and he was singing:

House, house, a new house
I am making a new house
Paper, paper, scrap paper
I am making a house of scrap paper!

It was so easy to make a house out of scrap paper and he
knew that he was helping the environment too.

‘Scrap paper is nice and cool!
This house is like a jewel!', he said to himself smiling.

It was not long before he finished! He was so proud of
himself but also very tired. ‘It’s time for me to relax and have
some snacks!’, he thought.

Mr Wolf was so excited with what he saw. He ran towards the little
pig to ask him things about his brilliant idea. However, the pig got
really scared and hid inside the house.

‘Pig, little pig let me come in.
I have questions to make and advice to take,’ said Mr Wolf.

‘I know you are mean, so I won’t let you in!’, answered the little pig.

Before being able to say another word, Mr Wolf’s allergy appeared.
His nose was itchy and twitchy and he couldn’t hold back his

‘Aaaaa choooo!’terrible sneeze!

The house collapsed and Mr Wolf was aghast.
‘Oh dear, oh dear! The pig disappeared!

What a pile, what a mess, I am in such a distress,’
said Mr Wolf who started cleaning up all by himself.

‘My allergy has ruined everything,’ he thought.
‘Maybe tomorrow I will meet the little pig again and apologize

for destroying his brilliant house.’

The following day, Mr Wolf was in the woods. To his amazement he
thought he saw the little pig again! However, as he came closer he
realized that this pig was a different one and it was talking to a lorry
driver.

‘Sir , where are you taking these plastic bottles?’, asked the little pig.

‘To the landfill! Why? Do you want them? What can you make out of
this big pile of trash?’, asked the lorry driver and started laughing.

The little pig was thoughtful for a while. He knew exactly what he
could do with them. His mother had shown him how to turn bottles
into pots of flowers, pencil cases and so many other things.

‘I want to make a house’, said the little pig. Will you give them to me,
please?’
The lorry driver was surprised. A house made of plastic bottles? He
had never seen anything like that before!

‘Ok, little pig! You can take as many plastic bottles as you want and
good luck with your new house!’, said the lorry driver as he left.

The little pig started building his house and he was singing:

House, house, a new house
I am making a new house
Bottles, bottles, plastic bottles
I am making a house of plastic bottles!

It was so easy and he knew that he was helping the environment.

‘Plastic bottles can last forever!
Oh, I am so clever!'

The little pig was so proud of himself but also very tired.
‘It’s time for me to relax and have some snacks!’, he thought.

Mr Wolf was hiding behind some trees all this time. He didn’t want
to scare this pig as well! Yet, when he saw the house of plastic
bottles he couldn’t hold his excitement! He ran towards the little
pig to ask him things about his brilliant idea.
The little pig got really scared when he saw the wolf coming closer
and hid inside the house.

‘Pig, little pig let me come in.
I have questions to make and advice to take’, said Mr Wolf.

‘I know you are mean, so I won’t let you in!’,
answered the little pig, who remembered his mother’s words.

Before saying another word the wolf’s allergy appeared.
His nose was itchy and twitchy

and he couldn’t hold back his terrible sneeze!

‘Aaaaa choooo!’

The house collapsed and the wolf was aghast again!
‘Oh dear, oh dear! The pig disappeared!

What a pile, what a mess, I am in such a distress’,
said Mr Wolf who started cleaning up the mess by himself.

‘My allergy has ruined everything’, he thought.
‘Maybe tomorrow I will meet this little pig again and apologize

for destroying his brilliant house.’

The next day Mr Wolf was out again picking up rubbish and cleaning
the forest. He was also looking for the little pigs to apologize for his
sneeze and to ask them so many questions....

It was not long before afternoon when he heard some cheerful
voices singing nearby. As he approached, he could see to his
amazement not one, not even two, BUT THREE little pigs jumping
and singing while building a new house.

Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf, big bad wolf?
Not me, not you, not him!
Ha, ha, ha, ha!

When Mr Wolf heard their song, he became sad. ‘Well, maybe I am
big but I am not so bad. All I wanted was to ask some questions
and take advice for my new house! If I get any closer, they will
probably run away again! I’d better hide and watch them from a
distance’, he thought.
The little pigs were singing and working hard on their new house.

We are making a house, a big house.
We are making a big, strong house,
We are making a big, strong, energy efficient house!

They used special insulation and double grazed windows to keep
their house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They had
bought special lamps and appliances to use electricity wisely. Above
all, they had solar panels on the roof of their house!

‘These panels are soooo heavy! Are you sure we need them?’, asked
one pig to the other. ‘Of course we do! We can use the power of sun
and make electricity for our house! How cool is that! We save money
and we help the environment!’ said the other one full of excitement.

‘We should not forget to use recycling bins: one for plastic, one for
aluminum and one for glass’, said the third one. ‘We can also
make compost for our little garden, so we will need one more bin,
don’t you think?’ The three little pigs were so deep in their
conversation that they did not realize that the wolf was near them.

Poor wolf, he wanted to listen to their ideas so badly that he
forgot he was hiding! He ran towards the little pigs to ask them
things about their brilliant ideas. The little pigs got really afraid
again and hid inside the house.

‘Pigs, little pigs let me come in.
I have questions to make and advice to take’, said Mr Wolf.

‘We know you are mean, so we won’t let you in!’,
answered the little pigs, who remembered their mother’s words.

Before being able to say
anything else Mr Wolf’s allergy appeared. His nose was itchy and

twitchy and he couldn’t hold back his terrible sneeze!

Aaaaa choooo! Aaaaa choooo!

Aaaaa choooo!

He just couldn’t stop sneezing but to his amazement, the pigs’
house was still there! The three little pigs were not worried, their
house was very secure and Mr Wolf would never come in unless
they opened the door to him.

‘Oh, luckily this time the house is standing, but the pigs still refuse
to talk to me... Maybe I should have a look at their roof and find
out all by myself about their solar panels’, thought Mr Wolf and

started climbing up the pigs’ house.
Poor Mr Wolf, he soon realized that the solar panels were

scorching hot and he burnt his feet.
He ran into the forest crying and shouting for help!

The three little pigs lived
happily ever after in their environmentally friendly house

and Mr Wolf never appeared anywhere near them.
By the way,

the Big but not so Bad Wolf still has questions to make
and advice to take.

Can you help him to make the
environment a better place for everyone?

The End
