Perry the parrot loves colours.
All kinds of colours but he is only white!

Every day high up in the sky he flies
and sighs:

Oh look at the view! Everything here is BLUE!

Blue skies, blue butterflies,
blue flowers with magic super

powers

With my little eyes I can
spy blue….

What else can you  see
in blue?

Perry is sad and all in tears... But suddenly he hears
the voice of Mr Monkey:

'Hello Mr Parrot and how do you do?
Why do you feel so blue?'

‘Poor Perry,
who is only white and doesn’t feel alright.
I wish I were blue’, said Perry the Parrot.

‘I can turn you blue if you ask me to!’, said Mr Monkey.

‘Really?’ answered Perry in surprise.
“That’s for sure but you have to use the magic word.

You have to say PLEASE!’, said Mr Monkey.

'That’s easy for me!', replied Perry and without wasting more time
he said:

"Hello Mr Monkey and how do you do?
Could you PLEASE turn me blue?"

In the next moment Perry was blue!

He is so happy !

High up in the skies he flies but…
then again he sighs!

Oh! I can’t fly any further ahead!
Look everything here is... RED!

Red roses, red berries, red crispy cherries.

With my little eyes I can spy red….
What else can you  see in red?

Perry was sad again and as he sat he said:

‘Poor Perry, who is only blue
and doesn’t know what to do!’

‘What is wrong with you? I thought you loved blue!’,
asked Mr Monkey who heard Perry crying.

‘I do! I do love blue but now I want to be red.
Could you PLEASE turn me red?’, asked Perry.

‘Of course,  I can!’, replied Mr Monkey.
‘You have just said the magic word’

In the next moment Perry was red!

He is so happy !

High up in the skies he flies but…
then again he sighs!

'Oh look at this fellow! Everything here is ...YELLOW !

A yellow canary singing and yellow ducks swimming.

The bright yellow sun is having so much fun!

With my little eyes I can
spy yellow…

What else can you  see
in yellow?

Perry was sad again and as he sat  he said: ‘Poor Perry,

who is only red with a spinning head’

‘What is wrong with you? I thought you loved red!’,
asked Mr Monkey who heard Perry crying.

‘I do, I do love red but now I want to be yellow.
Could you PLEASE turn me yellow?’, asked Perry.

‘Of course,  I can!’, replied Mr Monkey.
‘You have just said the magic word’

In the next moment Perry was yellow!

He is so happy !

High up in the skies he flies but…
then again he sighs!

'Oh look at this stream! Everything here is... GREEN!'

Green trees, green leaves, green frogs
on shiny rocks.

With my little eyes I can spy
green…

What else can you  see in green?

Perry was sad again and as he sat  he said:
‘Poor Perry, who is only yellow and
he feels like a jello'

‘What is wrong with you? I thought you loved yellow!’,
asked Mr Monkey who heard Perry crying.

‘I do! I do love yellow but now I want to be green.
Could you PLEASE turn me green?’, asked Perry.

‘Of course,  I can!’, replied Mr Monkey.
‘You have just said the magic word’

In the next moment Perry was green!

He is so happy !
High up in the skies he flies but…

then again he sighs!

'Oh! Look at those fellows who gather around!
Everything here is brown!’

Brown bear, brown hare
Brown dog, brown hog,
Brown chocolate cakes and lots of milkshakes!

What a hearty party!

With my little eyes I can
spy brown…

What else can you  see
in brown ?

Perry was sad again and as he sat  he said:

‘Poor Perry, who is only
green and he wants to join

this friendly team'

‘What is wrong with you? I thought you loved green!’,
said Mr Monkey who heard Perry crying.

‘I do! I do but now I want to be brown!

Come on Monkey, turn me brown NOW!’ ,
said Perry full of enthusiasm.

‘NO Perry! I can’t turn you brown, you didn’t say
the magic word!’,

said Mr Monkey and he left hastily.

Perry was surprised!

How could he possibly forget the magic word:

Plea     se

He is so sad !
Alone he flies in the open skies and he sighs...

'Oh! Look at all these colours'

A beautiful rainbow just in front of Perry was smiling and inviting him,

‘Come on Perry, come! I know you love colours'

Perry flew through the rainbow
and guess what?

He is now the most colourful parrot ever!
Do you like Perry now? What colours you can see?

It's your turn now!

Draw Perry using as many colours as you like!
