in our society and to appreciate their contributions.
Programme:
A video presentation was done by S.Oviya of IX-C about the
elders in our life, their involvement in society and to get promoted
from their knowledge and ability.
Impression:
We should protect and care, to make them happy.
Outcome:
Students pay respect to elders and express their love for
them.
Objective:
To observe the sense of love and respect for all the living
things created by god.
To remind and motivate our students about our culture of
worshipping animals.
Programme:
World Animal Welfare day was celebrated with great love
and affection shown towards animals.
The student gave a power point presentation with
explanation of the culture based worshipping done by us.
For example, all the animals, birds are a form of vehicle or

Impression:
Students will understand the importance of animals and
showing empathy towards others. They will also come forward to
protect and save our culture of worshipping all the creations of
god.

Students understand the values of the culture we follow.

Objective:
To understand the importance of Postal services in India.
To know the theme of National Postal Day every year.
To appreciate the services of Postal department.

Prepared a video by Selvi. S. Neathra Sree of VIII-C
highlighting the origin of Post office, abbreviation in postal
department (Ex: PIN code) and in detail about Indian Postal
services.

The students develop the habit of writing letters, sending
greeting cards and using postal services.

Outcome:
By celebrating National Postal Day which is the extension of
World Postal Day, the students know the importance of postal
department in rendering services in military areas, hill stations
and dispatching money order from the responsible son/daughter
to the aged/needed parents.
Objective:
To keep peace throughout the world.
To develop friendly relations among nations.
To help nations work together to improve the lives of poor
people to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy and to encourage
respect for each other's rights and freedoms.
Programme:
Selvi. J. Deepthy of VIII-C gave a brief speech on importance
of UN Day.
Impression:
We take pride in serving as a separate entity from the local
police forces.
The united nations defends human rights for all regardless
of race, religion, nationality, gender or sexual orientation.
Our peace keepers are on the frontlines of conflict.
Our mediators bring warriors to the peace table.
Our relief workers brave treacherous environments to
deliver life-saving assistance.
Outcome:
UN Day concert was held under the theme "Building Back
together for peace and prosperity" for a small audience following
COVID norms.
Objective:
To understand the importance of thousands of infantry
soldiers who had laid down their lives for India.
To remember sacrifice of our soldiers in the lines of duty.
Programme:
Infantry days is being marked and observed on 27th
October.

Students understood
(i) Our soldiers action to defend Indian territory from
external aggression.
(ii) Remembrance of the first military event of independent
India.
(iii) Infantry is the backbone of Indian Army and its soldier
bear the main in any battle.
Outcome:
Students viewed the video presentation and learnt the
tremendous contribution of Infantry in maintaining the sanctity
of the nation's borders.
Objective:
It is formal group decision-making process by which a
population chooses an individual to hold office.
Taking up an opportunity to practice speaking in front of an
audience.
Programme:
The candidates can create their manifesto and can go from
class to class canvassing for votes on a fixed day and time.
On election day, the ballot box must be placed at the corner
of the room.
In the enclosed ballot box, the students can mark their vote
with pen and the election had been conducted in a smooth way.
Impression:
The teacher collected all ballot papers for counting. After
voting, when all the ballot papers have been collected, the
counting begins. The result of the election was announced at a
school assembly.
Outcome:
The student came to know about the elections and they
came to know about the importance of elections.
"Success or Achievement is not the final goal. It is the spirit
in which you act that puts the seal of beauty upon your life."
Objective:
To understand the importance of human rights that has
been constituted in our country for the citizens welfare.
To make the students be aware of the rights from the young
age, so that they can take right decision in future.
Programme:
Conducted a play, where four students had discussed about
the human rights day. Eventually, they started conversing about
few of the major rights like Right to Education, Right to Speak,
Right to protect Environment, Right to Vote, etc.,

Impression:
Students will understand the necessity of knowing their
rights and duties as a citizen of our country as well as human
beings.
Outcome:
Students understood the importance of knowing their rights
and learnt about rules and regulations of our country.
Students got an awareness on the importance of human
rights and started to follow law and order to live their life
purposeful by constructively contributing to the society and
nation.
Inspector of Police Mrs. Karthika from Srirangam Women's
Police Station, gave awareness on POCSO 2012. 42 girl students
from IX std attended the programme.
Objectives:
To educate the students about Swami Vivekananda's
thoughts and ideas.
To make the students aware on his role in integral
development and spiritual development.
To pay tribute to the legendary hero Swami Vivekananda, his
birthday is celebrated as "Youth Day".
Programme:
Prepared a video highlighting the life of Swami Vivekananda
by Master J.S. Harihara sudhan of X-C and shared it in

Outcome:
By celebrating the greatness of "Youth Day", the students
pledged to adopt his simple ways of life and principles of
empathy, humbleness, honesty and sincerity.
Objective:
To bring together young people across the world.
It remains a day for all Guides and Girl Scouts to think of
each other and celebrate their sisters all around the world.
Programme:
World Thinking Day is celebrated on 22nd February in
honor of the birthday of both Lord Baden Powell and Olave Baden
Powell who were instrumental in the founding of boy scouts and
Guide.

Impression:
The students, scouts and guides watched the video, which
was very informative for them.
World thinking day is observed in atleast 150 countries
throughout the world, including more than ten million girls
worldwide.
Outcome:
Each year, the theme for Thinking day changes.
This year, the theme is "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion".
The students understood that the theme for this year is
about treating everyone equally regardless of race, religion, age,
nationality, ability, appearance, gender, identify and experience.
This year thinking day aims to celebrate the incredible
diversity within the movement.
Objective:
To express love and gratitude towards women‟s contribution
to our lives and society.
To appreciate achievements made by women in different
areas.
Programme:
International women‟s day is a global day celebrated every
year on 8th March.

The student had given speech on women achievement in
social, economic, cultural and political aspect.

in every aspect of our life.
Objective:
World forest day is celebrated in order to instill importance
of forest in the minds of children.
It aims to understand the necessity of Afforestation.
Progamme:
World forest day was celebrated on 21st March, 2022. The
students Selvi.S. Nithya Shree and Selvi.Harini from IX-B gave
speech about forest day.
The topic was on Afforestation and some points were
elucidated to restore forest and control over forest fire etc.,
