For all legal entities between 1 and 5 years of existence that have a project, or product, within the Tourism Sector, but it can also be in one of the following areas: For whom? The Startup Launchpad education program is using the "PIE" method to guide entrepreneurs to ideate, create and innovate.
Participants will receive training on: Marketing and Social Media; Innovation scoreboard ; Entrepreneurship; Intellectual Properties; Project leadership; Customer Service; Sustainability in business; Growth Strategy; Pitching Focus on -“Self-assessment”, “how to be an agile warrior”, “how to start with a growth mindset”, “the steps to make your business succeed”; Intensive pitch training: components of a good pitch, relevant information for the pitch, visual presentation, body language; Business model canvas: know your business, identify opportunities for growth.. Startup Launchpad Accelerator Program for Businesses Round 1 Pitch competition After 1 month of intensive training, we will organize the first pitch competition. In this pitch competition, we will select 5 participants to proceed to round 2. 15 participants (which we have pre-selected) will have the opportunity to give a pitch to the jury in 5 minutes. Round 2 Final Pitch competition The final pitch competition is to choose 1 winner from the 5 participants who proceed to the second round. As with the former Startup Launchpad editions, the jury will look at the progress of the participants over 6 months and what they want to achieve further.

If you cannot attend a session please notify us in advance. We will understand if you have good reasons for being absent, so we kindly ask participants to report it. Those reasons usually involve illness of the participant, accidents, and family or acute medical emergencies. We will record the presence of participants during each session. Participants will be disqualified if they do not reach the 70% mandatory attendance policy. INVEST TIME IN YOUR BUSINESS
10 PARTICIPANTS IN ROUND 1 Started in 2017 with a pilot edition Funded by EU/ OCTA Innovation and the Ministry of Economic Development of Curaçao 5 entrepreneurs received investment vouchers and 2 entrepreneurs received final grant Accelerator rounds 2 2 Pitch competitions 2019 edition Funded by the Ministry of Economic Development of Curaçao 5 entrepreneurs received investment vouchers Used the PIE method to coach entrepreneurs. PIE method includes project leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. 2020 edition Funded by the Ministry of Economic Development of Curaçao 3 entrepreneurs build their ecommerce website from scratch Webshop is up and running 2021, 2022 and 2023 edition Funded by the Ministry of Economic Development of Curaçao 1 entrepreneur won Ang 5000,- in cash and other prizes worth of more than Ang 3500,-
ABOUT STARTUP LAUNCHPAD Curaçao Innovation & Technology Institute is working towards the development of small businesses in Curaçao. As the cliché slogan states “Small businesses are the backbone of the economy”, CITI believes in this statement and therefore works towards the development of each stakeholder in this sector, seeing that they bring welfare to our economy. As part of this objective, CITI created the Startup Launchpad program in 2017, to support businesses that need an extra boost to develop their business. We believe in the power of small businesses for the growth of our economy During the years, this program proved to be a big success in helping small businesses thrive, so CITI will continue with this project, This is the sixth edition of this program. In this edition, CITI will give the participants 6 months of coaching and guidance and they will learn everything that has to do with doing business and business growth. By the end of the period, participants are able to proceed with their SMART project to make it a big success
