YOUTH SUMMER PROGRAMS

All Comer Track & Field Meets Bring the family down for an evening of

friendly competition at one of our All Comer Track & Field Meets and watch as your child participates in one or more events.
Everybody gets a ribbon! Qualified Salem residents are eligible for a 50-percent fee waiver for All Comer Track & Field Meets.
Age Range: 13 & Under
Cost: $4/event or $15/participant for the entire meet

Registration on-site, on the evening of the meet, 5:00-6:45 p.m.

Summer Parks Program Day Camps Sign up for a summer full of outdoor play! Each week boasts

a theme for activities, games, and crafts. Most importantly, participants will enjoy afternoons playing outside, in a supervised, positive environment.
Qualified Salem residents are eligible for a 100-percent fee waiver for Summer Parks Program Day Camps.

Sports Camps An introduction to baseball, basketball, soccer, and softball. Participants will work on a new skill each day,

participate in fun skill-building activities, and end each day in a scrimmage. These camps are great for athletes looking to try a new sport and for those

Tennis Programs Time to get our ROGY on! We have changed our tennis class ages and are adding in level-appropriate tennis

balls: Red, Orange, Green Dot, and Yellow. Each level will work on tennis strokes, player coordination, and playing tennis. Participants will play either

Skyhawks Multi-sport program is tailored to your child’s
age and skill level. Children learn the rules and essential
skills of each sport, including respect and teamwork.

TRACK & FIELD

Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical development
with the fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper
stretching, and cool-down techniques.

VOLLEYBALL

All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and
exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and
serving. This program is designed for beginning and
intermediate players.

WILDERNESS CAMPS
Dan Coyle started Coyle Outside in 2010 after working with At-Risk Teens in the Wilderness for 12 years. He is proficient and experienced as an instructor of
primitive skills, whitewater kayaking, climbing, canyoneering, surfing, mountain biking, and backcountry travel in all seasons. His passion is facilitating the
connection of youth with nature.

Bigfoot Survivor Camp

An exciting adventure experimenting with nature! Taught by instructors with a background
in survival and primitive skills, campers will work in teams to solve problems such as how to
stay warm and dry in bad weather. They will also learn basic fire building skills, simple traps,
and various ways to make rope. This class is a precursor to the Zombie Survivor Camp.

Zombie Survivor Camp

This course builds on the beginner class and takes nature exploration to a whole new level!
Campers use increasingly complicated scenarios such as being lost, accidents in remote
places, and dealing with natural disasters. Campers develop real survival, disaster response,
and primitive skills. Emphasizes the development of teamwork, leadership, and decision
making skills as necessary to performing well when resources are few. Bring lunch, snacks,
shoes, and clothes to move around in and possibly get wet.

Fish Hunters Camp

Spend the week learning various fishing techniques! Learn how to cast and set up a rod.
Learn primitive fishing techniques including various fish traps and trot lines. Bring snacks,
wear shoes, and clothes appropriate for getting wet.

Adult Leagues - There are over 100 teams playing in the adult softball and kickball leagues.
Free Agent List - Individuals looking for a team can join the Free Agent List on our website at

Tournaments - Every weekend through September, an Amateur Softball Association (ASA) or
United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) softball tournament is scheduled.
Softball and Kickball - Registration is open for summer and fall leagues.
