1. EXT. JASON'S HOUSE - DAY
Small upstairs apartment on Penang Island, where Jason and
her sister, Jasmine were raised.

DISSOLVE TO:

2. INT. JASON'S HOUSE/LIVING ROOM - DAY
A sleek sofa with built-in remote controls faces a wall-sized
flat-screen TV.
JASON, 16, has an introverted and emotional personality, an
ordinary boy studying in high school.

JASON
Mum, dad, I am back from school.
JASMINE, Jason's sister, 15, has an extroverted and cheerful
personality, an attractive and popular girl in school.

JASMINE
Mama, papa, I am back too.
DAD, Jason and Jasmine's stepfather, 50, businessman, strict
and violence outbursts but he does love his family a lot.

DAD
What are you two holding in
your hands?

JASON
(Shaky voice)
Dad, these...are our...midterm
examination results.

DAD
What! Why are you getting such low
results again compared to your
sister getting 90 marks? Did you
put in any effort in your studies?
Footsteps sound coming from the kitchen.
MOTHER, 45, housewife, introverted and doesn't know how to
express her feelings towards her children.

MOTHER
What is happening here? Why are you
shouting so badly?

DAD
Look at your son! He failed his
exam again, we spent so much
tuition fees for him.

MOTHER
He is trying his best so stop
blaming him and give him some time
to improve.

DAD
You have been so lenient to him
that he is spoiled now. It's all
your fault, you caused all this.
Jason's stepfather slaps his mum.

JASMINE
Mum, are you okay? Let me bring you
back to the room and take a look at
your wound.
Dad walks out from home and slam the door.

JASON
It's all my fault, mum tried to
protect me and she got hurt. Why am
I so useless, not having good
grades so dad could treat me better
and mum would not get hurt. I
promise myself I will do whatever
it takes to get good grades.

DISSOLVE TO:

3. INT. JASON'S HOUSE/ DINING ROOM - DAY
Next morning, mum and Jasmine are having their breakfast on
the dining table while Jasmine is happily sharing a dream she
made last night to mum.

JASON
Good morning. Mum, I'm so sorry
about yesterday. It was my fault.

JASMINE
Good morning brother.

MOTHER
(angry tone)
Your breakfast is on the table,
finish it now!

JASON
Mum, are you okay? Your wound looks
bad, do you need some ice packs? I
will take it for you.

MOTHER
Just remain silent and finish your
breakfast. I'm fine.

JASON
Mum, I am just worried about you.
Why are you being so harsh on me?

MOTHER
Harsh? If you are half as good as
your sister, I wouldn't be like
that. From now onwards, you better
utilize your time and focus on your
study. Do you get me?

JASON
Yes mum. I will not let you down
again.

Jason finishes his breakfast and goes to school with his
sister.

CUT TO:

4. EXT. JASON'S SCHOOL - DAY
On this beautiful morning, the school bell rang, a school
logo and the school name SMK Meadows shining bright on the
front school building. Many students are walking into the
school.

DISSOLVE TO:

5. INT. JASON'S SCHOOL/ CLASSROOM - DAY
As usual Jason sits at his place which is at the last row of
the classroom paying attention to what his teacher is
teaching. Suddenly, he feels very tired and he starts to have
a headache. Jason then raise hand to get permission to use
the toilet.

JASON
Ms. Lim, may I go to the toilet?
Ms. LIM, Jason's class teacher, 32, patient and caring.

MS. LIM
Yes Jason, you may go.
Jason then walks to the toilet to wash his face. When he is
looking at the mirror, he sees himself in the mirror talking
to him.

CUT TO:
SCHOOL TOILET

JASON
Who are you, why are you talking to
me?
JAVEN, Jason's split personality, clever, confident and evil,
he could control Jason easily.
Javen appears in the mirror talking to Jason.

JAVEN
Hi, I am Javen. I am here to help
you Jason so don't be scared. Let
me tell you my, "our", little
secret.

JASON
Wait what? Stay away from me! I
don't want to know anything about
you.

JAVEN
(sarcastic tone)
Are you sure? I was just about to
tell you how to get an A in every
subject. Well, guess you will be
failing again.

JASON
Wait, don't go. Tell me, please.
What is the secret?

JAVEN
Well, well, well. If you want to
get good results, you must do as I
say. Whatever I command, you shall
obey. After you have accomplished
the task, I will help you.

JASON
What? Do you have superpowers or
something? It doesn't sound right
to me.

JAVEN
If you don't believe me, there is
nothing I can do for you. You can
move on like this conversation
never happened and continue to be a
loser.
Javen laughs evilly towards Jason.

JASON
Okay fine. I will give it a try. I
will do whatever it takes to make
my parents proud of me.
Javen disappears from the mirror. Jason feels uncomfortable
but he is ready to do whatever to get good grades.
Jason walks back to his classroom.

DISSOLVE TO:

6. EXT. SCHOOL/ MAIN GATE - DAY
The school bell rings. Students walk out from the main gate
happily while Jason waits for her sister to come out.

JASON
Where is Jasmine? Why is she so
slow?
Jasmine shouts from the back and runs towards Jason.

JASMINE
Brother, I am here. Sorry to keep
you waiting.

JASON
It's okay. Let's go home together.

JASMINE
Okay but are you okay? You don't
look well.
Jasmine touches Jason's forehead.

JASMINE (CONT'D)
Hey, you are having a fever. Let's
go home fast.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

7. INT. JASON'S HOUSE/ BEDROOM - NIGHT
After Jason came back from school, he got some rest due to
having a fever.
Knock knock. Jason gets up from bed and goes to open the
door.

JASMINE
Are you feeling better? I brought
you medicine.

JASON
I am feeling better after some
rest. Thanks for the medicine.

JASMINE
You're welcome brother.
Jasmine walks back to her room while Jason closes his bedroom
door and sleeps after taking the medicine.

DISSOLVE TO:

8. INT. JASON'S HOUSE/ LIVING ROOM - DAY
The next day, Jason comes out from his room. Jasmine is
already waiting for him to go to school together.

JASMINE
Morning, how are you feeling?

JASON
I'm fine now, my fever is gone
already.

JASMINE
What a relief. Let's go to school
then.

CUT TO:

9. INT. JASON'S SCHOOL/ CORRIDOR - DAY
The school bell rings. Jason is almost late to class so he
starts running to the classroom. When he is running, he bumps
into Olivia, who was walking in the corridor. Olivia falls
down and RM100 cash drops out of her bag.

JASON
Oh my gosh! I am so sorry.
Jason helps Olivia up, Olivia picks up her money and Jason
sees it.
OLIVIA, Jason's classmate, 16, shy and quiet but she is very
kind to all her classmates.

OLIVIA
(speak softly)
It's okay. I am fine.

JASON
Let's go back to class then but I
am really sorry for that.
Ms. Lim walks towards them.

MS. LIM
Jason, Olivia, get back to class
now, I have something important to
announce.

CUT TO:
CLASSROOM

MS. LIM (CONT'D)
Students, I have something to
announce. Tomorrow we will have a
weekly exam, please be prepared.
It's just a small exam.

JASON
Oh no! I was not prepared for this,
what if I get bad results again?
Mum will be hurt again.
Suddenly, Jason feels uncomfortable. Jason starts hearing
voices. It's Javen talking to Jason in his mind.

JAVEN
Hey, remember what you promised?

JASON
(Talking softly to

himself)
Who is it? Why I can't i see you?

JAVEN
It's me, Javen. You can't see me
because I am part of you.

(MORE)

JAVEN (CONT'D)
Remember I said if you do what I
command, I will help you to get
good grades.

JASON
So, what do you want me to do?

JAVEN
You saw Olivia's RM 100 right? Your
first task is to steal her money.

JASON
Okay. I will do it.
School bell rings, it's recess time. Jason steals Olivia's
money when nobody was in class.

JAVEN
Well done! Your wish will be
granted.

FADE TO:

10. INT. JASON'S SCHOOL/ EXAM HALL - DAY
Today, it's exam day. Jason walks into the exam hall
confidently. Jason's deskmate is curious why Jason feels like
a different person today.
DERRICK, Jason's deskmate, talkative and playful.

DERRICK
(Mocking tone)
Hey mate, you look confident today.
Aren't you scared of the test
today? You have been failing every
test.

JASON
(laughing tone)
Why should I be scared? I will
definitely get an A this time.
In fact, Javen has taken control of the host identity, Jason.
Derrick does not know that Jason has a split personality so
he thought he was still talking to Jason.

DERRICK
We will see then.
The school bell rings. Ms. Lim and a few teachers walk into
the exam hall holding a pile of exam papers that are prepared
for the weekly exam.

MS.LIM
We will start our exam now.
Students please remember the exam
rules, no communication between
students and no cheating. You all
have only 1 hour to complete the
paper.
Ms. Lim starts passing down the exam papers and students
start answering the exam questions. After one hour, Ms. Lim
collects all the papers from students.

DERRICK
I bet you will fail again this
time, Jason.

JAVEN
(humorous tone)
I will definitely get higher marks
than you.
Javen then walks away. Derrick was very angry because he felt
that Jason's split personality had insulted him.

DISSOLVE TO:

11. INT. JASON'S SCHOOL/ CLASSROOM - DAY
Three days after the exam, Ms. Lim is going to release their
exam results.

MS. LIM
Students, today I will be releasing
your exam results and your papers.
Congrats to Jason, he has got a
huge improvement this time. He got
95 marks.

DERRICK
(unbelievable tone)
What! That's impossible.

JASON
What! Why don't I remember sitting
for this exam? But my parents would
definitely be very happy with it
Jason hears a voice again.

JAVEN
Hey, it's me. See your wish has
been granted.

JASON
(soft speaking tone)
How did you make it, why do I not
remember a single thing?

JAVEN
Nah, it's not important. What's
important now is, you got an A.
Javen's voice then disappears.

DERRICK
Hey, who are you talking to? Did
you cheat? It's impossible to
improve so much.

JASON
(scared and shaky tone)
We need to talk after class. I..I
did not cheat.

DERRICK
Meet me at the staircase later.

CUT TO:

12. INT. JASON'S SCHOOL/ STAIRCASE - DAY
Jason and Derrick meet up at the staircase during recess
time.

DERRICK
(frustrated tone)
Hey, tell me how you got such good
grades in such a short time.

JASON
(nervous tone)
Ermmm....

DERRICK
You definitely cheated. I need to
report you now. You Liar.
Jason starts hearing Javen's voice again. Javen is trying to
command him.

JAVEN
Push him down the stairs now. NOW!
If you don't do it, I will do it
for you.

Jason refuses to do so. Suddenly, his personality changes,
Javen takes over control of Jason. He pushes Derrick down
from the stairs. Ms. Lim sees that incident and she shouts
loudly.

MS. LIM
Jason! What are you doing?
Derrick is injured badly. When Jason came to realize, he
didn't remember pushing him. He is very shocked.

JASON
(nervous tone)
Oh my god, I am sorry. What did I
do?

MS. LIM
Call the ambulance quickly.
After five minutes, the ambulance arrives and Derrick is sent
to the hospital.

MS. LIM (CONT'D)
Jason, follow me to the office.
Jason then follows Ms. Lim to her office.

CUT TO:

13. JASON'S SCHOOL/ MS. LIM OFFICE - DAY
JASON

(sobbing tone)
I am sorry miss. I really don't
know what happened. I am really
sorry. I don't remember anything
from just now.

MS. LIM
I need to call your parents now.
This is a very big issue, you might
be expelled from school.

JASON
Please, don't call my parents. I am
really sorry, miss. Please don't.

MS. LIM
I am afraid I can't do that.
Ms. Lim then dials Jason's father's phone number. After an
hour, Jason's parents rush over to the school.

DAD
(Triggered tone)
What's happening here? Jason, why
did you push your classmate? Do you
know how shameful it is to be
called by your teacher and be
informed of your misbehavior in
school.

JASON
I am so sorry dad. Please forgive
me. Please.
Jason kneels down on his knee begging for forgiveness.

MOTHER
Aren't you embarrassed to be an
elder brother? Your sister always
passes her exams with flying colors
and never creates any trouble.

MS.LIM
Actually, Jason got very good
grades this time.

DAD
Good grades? It's not about having
good grades now, it is about your
attitude. I put all of my hopes on
you and I just hope that you will
be a successful man but you are
just being a useless child. You are
useless!
Dad then slaps Jason again without making clear what has
happened.

JASON
Please! Stop! I did not do anything
wrong. He triggered me first but I
did not push him.

DAD
(angry tone)
Don't you dare talk back! Ms. Lim
spectacular everything, until now
you are still lying.

JASON
You all never cared about my
feelings before. All you all do is
scold and hit me.

(MORE)

JASON (CONT'D)
Do you all know I try hard just
because I love you all and don't
want you all to be disappointed.

MOTHER
Do you care about us? If you really
did, you wouldn't do this to us.
You may be expelled and go to jail.
You will never have a bright future
anymore and people will start to
look down on us. How is this
showing love and care for our
family?

JASON
(sobbing tone)
Why are you all so self-centered?
Normal parents would pay attention
to their kids and teach them how to
be a better person but both of you
only care about your image. You all
never gave me any support and not
even a word of comfort.
The office phone rings. Ms. Lim goes to pick up the phone.

MS.LIM
Hello, Ms. Lim speaking.

VOICE
(over the phone)
Hello, calling from the hospital.

INT. ISLAND HOSPITAL - DAY
A nurse talking to the phone.
A NURSE, 26, even-tempered and knowledgeable, she is
optimistic to every patient.

NURSE
One of your students, Derrick, has
been injured badly. He is still not
awake yet.

INTERCUT- PHONE CONVERSATION
MS. LIM

Oh my god!

NURSE
The patient's parents were very
worried and angry. They call me to
inform you that they have called
the police.

MS. LIM
Thank you for the updates.
The phone hung up. Ms. Lim tells Jason and his parents about
Derrick's situation. She also informs them that Derrick's
parents have called the police. The police then arrive and
want to arrest Jason.

DISSOLVE TO:

14. INT. POLICE STATION/ INTERROGATION ROOM - NIGHT
The policeman arrests Jason and brings him to the police
station interrogation room to make a statement.
In the interrogation room, one policeman will be asking
questions and writing the statements while one psychologist
observing the crime through a unidirectional perspective
glass in the observation room.
POLICEMAN 1, 30, he is integrity and suspiciousness, and has
good communication skills.

POLICEMAN
So, tell me exactly what happened
and why did you push Derrick down
the stairs?

JASON
(nervous tone)
I really don't know what happened.
I don't remember pushing him down
the stairs. I only know he accused
me of cheating on an exam.

POLICEMAN
I hope you know how serious this
case is, so you should not tell any
lies.
Jason is very scared and stressed out. He wants to escape
from this place. Javen then takes control of the body.

JAVEN
(sarcastic tone)
Seriously?

(MORE)

JAVEN (CONT'D)
I am not scared of anything. Do you
have any evidence that I pushed
Derrick down?
POLICEMAN
Your teacher, Ms. Lim saw you
pushing Derrick down.
JAVEN
Derrick lost balance and fell down
on his own. Ms. Lim did not see
clearly as she was far away.
POLICEMAN
I thought you said you don't
remember anything?
One policeman knocks on the door and passes the CCTV footage
to Policeman 1. After looking at the footage, Jason is
confirmed as admitting a crime. Suddenly, their personalities
switch again. Javen disappears and Jason takes over control.
JASON
(timid voice)
I am really sorry. I am not lying.
I really don't have any memories
about the incident.
Jason then goes out of control. He starts breaking down in
tears.
POLICEMAN
I am afraid that you have to go to
jail.
Policeman 1 then leaves the room and walks to the observation
room.

CUT TO:

OBSERVATION ROOM
Policeman 1 enters the observation room and discusses the
case with the psychologist.
A PSYCHOLOGIST, 35, she is observant and passionate,
observing Jason in the interrogation room.

PSYCHOLOGIST
Why is he acting timid while he
could be very sarcastic at the same
time.

POLICEMAN
I realized that too. It seems like
two different people answering my
questions.

PSYCHOLOGIST
I was suspecting that he might have
split personality disorder but he
would need treatments and I think
he has been going through this for
a long time.

POLICEMAN
This might be a big problem. I
should let his parents know.

15. INT. POLICE STATION/ WAITING ROOM - NIGHT
Jason's parents and Jasmine are waiting to know about the
outcomes and are very worried about Jason's situation.
Policeman 1 walks towards them.

DAD
(worried tone)
How is the situation now?

POLICEMAN
Jason has been confirmed in
committing a crime. We already have
evidence about it.

DAD
So what will happen to my son?

POLICEMAN
I am afraid that he has to go to
jail, but it is not confirmed yet
because he is in a special
situation.

DAD
What special situation?

POLICEMAN
Our psychologist suspects that he
has split personality disorder and
he might have been going through
this disorder for a long time
already. You parents should pay
more attention to your child.

MOTHER
(shaky voice)
Oh my gosh! What he has been
through. It's our fault, we only
know how to scold and hit him
instead of teaching him patiently.
Jason's parents break into tears and regret treating Jason in
such a violence way.

MOTHER (CONT'D)
Is it possible to let us talk to
Jason for a while.

POLICEMAN
Wait for a moment, I could only
bring Jason out for 5 minutes.
Policeman 1 then brings Jason out with a handcuff on his
hand.

JASON
(shaky voice)
Mum, dad, I am really sorry. Please
don't hit me.

MOTHER
We are really sorry son for not
paying more attention and
expressing our love towards you in
a correct way.

DAD
Son, I am sorry for using violence
towards you. We will get things
right. We love you son.
Jason's parents realize that they have been educating their
children in a wrong way and should not keep comparing him
with his sister, Jasmine. They should have paid more
attention to Jason. They break into tears and apologize. They
give Jason a hug, then he is brought back to the
interrogation room waiting for his punishment results and he
would be getting treatments on his split personality
disorder.

FADE OUT.
