For the month of October Sperry FCU is recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our
in-branch cookie sale (see page 2). All proceeds will benefit the Maurer Foundation whose mission is
to save lives through breast health
education. Be sure to purchase cookies
during your next trip to our branch.
Donations may be dropped off at the
front desk.

This season, Sperry FCU is again showing our support for our Military members. The Boots on
the Ground NY donation bin remains in our branch lobby. Boots on the Ground NY is a team of

Veterans that helps follow Veterans and
their families to ensure no Veteran is
forgotten. They also collect items and
distribute care packages to deployed
troops. It’s the season of giving—please
help us collect non-perishable items for
care packages sent to deployed troops
overseas just in time for the holidays.

Sperry FCU is proud of Board
Member , Michael McGillicuddy (pictured
below on right) and his brother, Kevin
McGillicuddy, recently returned from the
devastated island of Puerto Rico. The
brothers are part of the National Disaster
Medical System (NDMS) who respond to
disasters throughout the United States
and the rest of the world. Personnel
from the National Disaster Medical were
dispatched to areas where they were

needed the most – where hospitals were struggling to
provide care after the storm. We want to salute our
Volunteer that was engaged in this relief effort.

Sperry FCU also attended several local street fairs
and bridal shows recently. We thoroughly enjoy spending
time with our neighbors and showcasing our great rates
and convenient services that bring value to our Members
