Community News

In January, Sperry FCU volunteers at the Ronald McDonald
House of Long Island in New Hyde Park for the “Meals from the
Heart Dinner Program”. With the help of Uncle Bacala’s Restaurant,
we provided a delicious meal for 90 residents. The Ronald McDonald
House serves as a home away from home for families of seriously ill
children.

In February, Sperry FCU participated in the Maurer’s Founda-
tion Pink Bowl. The Maurer Foundation seeks to educate people in
breast cancer prevention.

In March, Sperry held another successful Home Buyers Semi-
nar. Special thank you to our presenters: Myla Borouke, Scott Ros-
enberg, Richard Colletti, Rick Krompinger, and Tony Rigole.

On March 29, Sperry FCU employees happily provided home-
made meals to the homeless at the North Shore Sheltering Program
in Glen Cove. The program provides temporary overnight shelter for
the homeless and seeks to direct people in need of housing, medical
care and/or treatment to the proper agencies and facilities.

In April, Sperry FCU attended the Long Island Bridal Extravaganza where our staff spoke with
Brides and Grooms-to-be about their dream weddings and how Sperry could help with our low-rate
Wedding Loan.
