Mengkuang weaving is a wellknown art form and is widely used by weaving experts who inherited this skill from their ancestors. weaving is the process of interweaving, netting and crossing sheets of material from plants such as bamboo leaves, rattan and sticks. Anyaman mengkuang usually can produce a lot of items such as mats, food containers, handbags and decorative items. with today's creativity unknowingly mengkuang weaving is still an attraction for foreign tourists.They are usually interested in the way of making this weaving which is not available in their country. Usually foreign tourists will buy some types of these weaves to be used as souvenirs for their family.
HANDICRAFTS TEMBIKAR MAMBONG TEMBIKAR MAMBONG is known as the traditional of Kuala Krai, Kelantan. This handicraft was first traced in 1868 and it is believed that this heritage was handed down by their ancestors long ago. Tembikar Mambong has little difference from other traditional pottery. It is because in the process of making mambong pottery, the clay used will be mixed with fine sand. In this way, the pottery will be more beautiful and shine. For everyone's knowledge, mambong pottery is usually used in various things such as cooking utensils, containers for storing water or food and some people also use this pottery as a place to store medicines . The process of making Tembikar Mambong just need to be skilled in the use of our hand. The hands play a role in curving the clay that is spinning, especially in the head. There are 4 compulsory musical instruments for zapin dance. 4 musical instruments that are compulsory are gambus, bedok, maruas and accordion. in the beginning only men participated in this dance. now this dance is modified with the participation of women. Zapin dance is usually accompanied by some traditional musical instruments. The instruments involved are the violin, marwas and gambus.
