Dear Parents ‫עמו"ש‬:

We hope that you and your family are having a pleasant and restful
summer and that your children are getting ready to start a new year of growth in
‫ תורה‬and ‫יראת שמים‬.

A detailed calendar for Elul ‫ זמן‬is included. In addition, you will find a
Calendar for the entire year. Please note that a separate General Information
Letter is sent for Yeshiva Ketana talmidim.

Our common goal and efforts are for the greatest possible growth of your
son as a well-balanced ‫בן תורה‬.

THURSDAY, ‫ י"ב אלול‬AUGUST 23rd:

First day of ‫לימודי קודש‬. At 10:00 AM there will be a ‫ פתיחה‬for ‫תלמידים‬, grades 9-11 in the
Dining Room at 555 Ocean Parkway. At the conclusion of the session, ‫ תלמידים‬will be assigned
to their respective ‫שיעור‬. Bochurim are NOT allowed to use the Yeshiva’s ‫ספרים‬. Please
bring the following for the first day:
‫ שערי תשובה לרבינו יונה‬,'‫ משנה ברורה חלק ו‬,‫ חומש דברים‬,‫גמרא קידושין‬
The ‫ סדר היום‬ends with an Orientation for grades 9, 10 & 11 after second ‫סדר‬. This will take
place in the second floor ‫בית מדרש זכרון יהודה ליב‬. Dismissal is at approximately at 3:00 PM.

Monday, ‫ ט"ז אלול‬AUGUST 27th:

First day of ‫תפילת שחרית בציבור‬. Bus service will be provided. 9th, 10th and 11th grade ‫ תלמידים‬will
daven ‫ שחרית‬at 7:40 AM in the ‫ בית מדרש זכרון יהודה ליב‬on the second floor.

SUNDAY, ‫ יום א' דסליחות – כ"ב אלול‬- SEPTEMBER 2, 2018

First day of ‫סליחות‬. ‫ סדר‬begins at 10:00 AM.

TUESDAY, ‫ כ"ד אלול‬SEPTEMBER 4th:

First day of General Studies for Grades 9,10 & 11.
General Studies sessions are held Monday thru Thursday beginning at 3:25 PM and conclude at
6:15 PM. The English Principal will direct each student to his proper class and help anyone with
any issue he may have.
Please note that no ‫ תלמיד‬may enter classes in the General Studies Department without an
Admission Card from the Registrar’s office.
