Day 1: Monday, 29 November 2021
On the first day, the participants were welcomed by the Greek team at the 3rd Primary
School of Tirnavos. The headmaster of the 3rd Primary School of Tirnavos, Ioannis Mokias
delivered the opening speech.
In the first part of the meeting, all the partner teams went to the meeting room where the
coordinators from each partner county (Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy and Romania), introduced the
participating teams and we begun the teaching learning activities according to the schedule of the
project. We mention that the Italian team participated online to all the activities.

In the second part of the meeting, there was a workshop where:
Mrs Georgia Mitili, Mrs Maria Kalyva and Mrs Evgenia Chalouli demonstrated three traditional
children's games with their classmates and explained the rules of these games.
In the third part of the first day meeting, there was a visit in Zafeirakis Tirnavos Winery.
Day 2: Tuesday, 30 November 2021
On the second day, the participants met in the meeting room of 3rd Primary School of
Tirnavos where they worked on the traditional dances of the participant countries. These Learning
-teaching activities referred to the impact of the dance in the soul of the refugee and migrant
students.
In the first part of the day, the coordinator from Greece, Ioannis Mokias, presented a video
about the traditional dances of all the regions of Greece. Then the other partners presented videos
of their traditional dances and made comments on them.
After that all partners went to the atrium of the school where Mr Dimitrios Zois ran a
workshop and presented with his class three traditional dances of Greece. Then the partners tried
to dance one Greek traditional dance accompanied by music. The role of the dance as a method
in teaching learning to multicultural classes it is an efficient solution to provide cooperation,
empathy, equality among the students.
In the second part of the meeting day the teachers participated to the painting workshop.
The teachers from each delegation had the task to paint an issue of the refugee and migrant people
situation of life and all the outcomes and the materials which produced have been hanged in the
Erasmus painting corner.
The last activity scheduled for this day was the visit on foot to the Prophet Elias monastery
which set on the homonymous hill, where the partners admire the spectacular architectonic of the
monastery and the spectacular view.
In the afternoon, the whole team of Erasmus visited by bus the city of Volos and the village
of Makrinitsa perched on the mountain Pelion with the characteristic Macedonian architecture of its
houses. In the evening we had dinner in a beach tavern of Volos where we tasted traditional seafood
dishes. Late at night the delegations returned to the hotel.
Day 3: Wednesday, 1 December 2021
The third day was dedicated to cultural visits. Specifically, we visited by bus the famous
rocks of Meteora where the monasteries of Barlaam and Agios Stefanos are perched. There we
came in contact with the habits of the monks and saw snapshots of their daily lives.
Then we visited the city of Trikala, climbed the fortress, walked the narrow streets of the
old town known as Varosia, toured the Manavika district and had lunch in a traditional tavern of
extremely traditional food of the area. After lunch we walked the streets of the modern city of
Trikala with the many bridges that connect the banks of the river Litheos that crosses the city. We
drank our coffee and tea in one of the beautiful cafes and late at night we returned to the hotel full
of wonderful pictures and memories.
Day 4: Thursday, 2 December 2021
On the fourth day, initially in the school meeting place, was presented a Shadow theater
Karagiozi school video performance based on friendship, equality, acceptance of diversity and
empathy. Then a workshop for the construction of shadow theater figures was organized, in which the
teachers of the program designed, painted and made their own figures. The Italian team built its own
figure working online through the Zoom platform.
The groups were then transferred to the school atrium where the partner teachers from
Romania, Turkey and Spain played parts of the school play script in their mother tongues.
At noon the Erasmus group left the school and visited in Larissa the exhibitions of the timeless museum
and the sights of the city.
In the evening, all the partner teachers from Turkey, Romania and Spain had dinner in a
traditional restaurant in Tyrnavos, invited by the headmaster and staff of the 3rd Primary School of
Tyrnavos, and then left for their hotel.
Day 5: Friday, 3 December 2021
The fifth day began with the presentation of three beautiful Greek songs by the school choir
of the fifth grade. This activity was carried out to emphasize the importance of music in mitigating
differences, in stimulating mutual appreciation and acceptance, in enhancing cooperation between
students of different cultural groups. Then the Greek song "on the beach" was chosen to be sung by the
partners of Romania, Turkey and Spain with the accordion accompaniment. The Italian team
participated in the activities online through the Zoom platform. The result was admittedly excellent
and everyone showed off their vocal skills!
The theatrical performance "Peace" was organized in the school atrium, organized by Mr.
Arkoumanis Artemios, a teacher of theatrology, and had a great success. The students of the fourth
grade participated in the show. The show was dedicated to the sufferings of refugees and the concept
of solidarity and friendship of the peoples of the earth.
This was followed by the closing ceremony and the awarding of attendance certificates for
mobility organized in Tyrnavos, Greece. Coordinators from each country gave a talk on the project
activities that took place during the week.
The last activity was the coordinators' meeting, where the coordinators set the dates for the
next mobilizations, discussed the preparations for the mobility in Italy and the activities planned for
the coming months.
At noon, the partners of the program were guided to a traditional house of Tyrnavos and
went for a walk in the central square of Tyrnavos, where they had lunch in a traditional ouzo tavern of
the city, with delicious local delicacies.
In this way, the chapter of hosting the friends partners of the Erasmus program in our city
was closed. We wished a good trip to the Erasmus partner delegations which left early the next morning
for their homelands.
