meet little red ants saigon.

Ants who?

Little Red Ants Saigon is a team of filmmakers who loves to tell
compelling stories through captivating visuals that will make you
laugh and cry, sometimes both at the same time.

We started our colony in Singapore in 2009 with five colonel ants
and built another in Ho Chi Minh City to hold a regional presence
in 2017.

Sounds pretty cool eh?

Our work has taken us marching beyond Singapore into ASEAN,
the Middle East and Europe.

Assistant Director Kim Tran, Chi Tran Art Direction TanDs Le client gave us.

Collaborating with veteran director, Wilson Yip
from Singapore, we worked closely with the
Oppo team to develop the concept & script.

We chose a different approach. More focus
on the story and aesthetics. Let the story sell
the product.

The final video was very well received,
garnering more than 8.5 million views on
YouTube.

Based on the main version produced by HQ in China,
Huawei did localized versions across the region.
LRA Saigon was picked to produce Vietnam’s version
and brought together an unexpected team from
Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam to work on it.
Despite working together for the first time, the team
had great chemistry and overcame tough logistical
constraints to bring this video to life.

Written by Sam Kang Li, Kim Tran, Uyen Pim This was our submission for the 48 Hour Film Project Vietnam in
Director of Photography Poh Yan Zhao, Eugene Lee 2018. The team went without sleep for almost 50 hours. We
received the competition brief at 7pm, wrote the script & music by
Edited by Eunice Goh 7am next morning, powered through a 18-hour shoot and finally
Music by Uyen Pim edited and submitted the film with two hours left on the clock.
