Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative Medicine is a game changing area of medicine with a

Sequential Embryo Transfer

In sequential transfer, one or more embryos are transferred on day 3 and
one or more embryos are again transferred on day 5. The requirements for
this are:
a. Patient should have enough embryos to attempt this
b. Embryos should be of very high quality. After transferring one or two,

the remaining should be kept for blastocyst culture
c. The cultured embryos should reach blast stage and should be

available for transfer
If the blast embryos are available, then it is transferred on day 5. This
widens the implantation window of the endometrium and gives a lot more
chance for embryos to implant. At GarbhaGudi, we have seen very good
success rates in many cases where we have done sequential transfers.

Male fertility treatment options

a. Testicular sperms might be the answer when there is increased DNA
fragmentation in the ejaculate sperm or repeated ICSI failures

b. In unexplained fertilization failure, poor embryo morphology or deficient
embryo implantation, changing the sperm source from ejaculate to
testis might help

c. In patients with non-obstructive azoospermia, BAP-C and stem cells
based regeneration techniques explained earlier can be a boon

Any foreign national can get a medical visa to India as long as they

accompany the patient into the country.However, their entry will

require another form of visa called the Medical Attendant Visa.
This visa will have the same validity of the medical visa. Typically,
the validity of a medical / tourist visa is for a maximum of 1 year,
multiple journey. This can be renewed again at the Foreign
Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
