The Broesler School of Irish Dance: Performance 2017

The Broesler School of Irish Dance was established in 1986. Kevin
Broesler, founder and director, is a former national and world champion
stepdancer and a featured performer at various concerts and cultural
festivals. He is a fully accredited teacher and adjudicator of Irish Dance,
qualified by An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha in Ireland. Kevin has been
honored by several organizations, including being selected as one of the
“Top 100 Irish Americans” by Irish American Magazine; “Top U.S. Irish
dancing school” and “Best Choreographer” by Irish Dancing & Culture
Magazine.
The Broesler School of Irish Dance holds classes in seven locations
throughout New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Delaware. Our
teachers take special care to preserve our Irish culture through dance
and music. Our students have many opportunities to participate in
activities beyond the competitive side of Irish dance. The school spirit is
evident in all our dancers do: charities, senior citizen home shows, Irish
festivals, parades and dancing at baseball and hockey events – we are
so proud of our children, sharing their love of Irish dance with many.
Tonight, we pause from the rigorous competitions of our sport and
celebrate the art of our dance. Showcasing Champions and our
precious beginners is my favorite way of reminding us all of how special
this form of dance is. Sharing my love of Irish dance, music and culture
with my students is a great honor. I am proud of them all!
Each year, we award several tuition scholarships in honor of special
people in our lives. These scholarships recognize students who make
contributions and exhibit outstanding traits, such as leadership skills,
school spirit, giving back to the school, and a strong work ethic. The
following scholarships honor individuals who were also instrumental in
leading us to develop the strong school that we enjoy today:

John William Jennings Memorial Scholarship
Alexis Verlin Memorial Scholarship

Margaret Hickey Memorial Scholarship
Eileen Broesler Memorial Scholarship
Annette Cribbin Honorary Scholarship
I wish adh mor ort (good luck) to all of our dancers this evening and
thank you for sharing this passion.
Kevin Broesler T.C.R.G., A.D.C.R.G.

Congratulations to The Broesler School of Irish Dance!

Our Teachers:

Caitrin O’Meara, TCRG

I can't wait to watch each and every one of you
dance your way onto the stage tonight. You get to
show off all your hard work and dedication to
dancing, so remember that every step you've
taken has led you to this moment. I see so much
potential in each one of you every time you lace
up your shoes to step out onto the floor. Good
luck tonight and don't forget to smile!

Eileen Paulson, TCRG

Irish Dance is truly a journey. I
hope each of you follow your
own paths and follow those
dreams. Set goals for yourself
and work hard to achieve
them. Participate in everything
you can in Irish dance: shows,
parades, hockey games,
picnics and charity events.
Travel the world and meet people everywhere. Remember to give to others
with your dancing – you have a very special talent. I love working with each
and every dancer that walks into the studio. You are all the best and a
pleasure to coach and I hope you all have fun tonight! I can’t wait to see
you shine up on the stage. !

Ryan Broesler

Your dedication, motivation and desire to
succeed in Irish Dancing is what makes me love
teaching you. All I want is for you to do your
best and have fun.

A Special Message to our Senior Dancers

Irish dance will always be a part of your life,
no matter the direction you take…

You can always come back - be it for a class, parade, surprise visit
or best of all another season!

compYeotiut’ivoen,aadnddedhsaovemsuecrhvetdo aosuorulitvsetsa:nfdriinengdesxhaimp,pfluesn,ofhedaeldtihcyation
to those younger dancers who admire you.

Ádh Mór Ort and best wishes,
The Broesler School Family

Neeve Broesler

How can I choose one memory after
14 years of Irish dance? I have
traveled to beautiful places, made
lifelong friendships, and accom-
plished things I never thought possi-
ble. One memory that stands out is
the “baby ceili” that has grown up

together. While onstage at the 2015

Montreal Worlds, dancing to The
Cross Reel, the music changed.
Gianna Cheeseman and
I laughed.

At that moment, I knew, THIS is what
dancing is all about: being onstage with
friends and doing what you love.
Another memorable time was the 2016
MARO, my 2nd Major back after 5
years of not competing in solos. When
the announcer called my number as a
World Qualifier, I froze. Friends had
to push me on stage. With tears
streaming down my face, I could hear
the Broesler family section cheering.
That moment was unforgettable. These
two amazing moments remind me why I love
to dance.

Madison Dalton

My favorite memory is the
tradition of spending the weekend
at Oireachtas year after year with
friends. One of my favorite moments
was getting on the podium.

Kelleigh Devereaux

Miya Stefanick

My favorite memory was the first
time I got top five at worlds and
my friends were sitting in a circle
with me. I remember flipping out
and bawling like a baby when I got a 100. The best part
though was who was there to share that moment with me.

Kelsie Donovan

My favorite memory of Irish
dance is the amazing moment when
two of my best friends, and I, all
qualified for the World Championships, at the 2014
Oireachtas. It was one of the most exciting and
emotional moments I have ever experienced. Sharing it
with them made it that much better. Knowing that all
our hours in class had finally paid off, was a great
feeling. I will never forget that moment, when all 3 of
our numbers were called, and the amount of joy it
brought me.
