NOTES TO ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH, 2021

(1) SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES

(a) Method of Accounting:
Accounts are maintained on cash basis in respect of Membership and Event
activities. In respect of Interest on fixed deposits, transactions are recorded on
accrual basis.

(b) Fixed Assets and Depreciation:
(a) Fixed Assets are stated at cost.
(b) Depreciation is provided on fixed assets on written down value method as
per the rate prescribed in Income Tax Rules, 1962.

(c) Investments:
Investments in Fixed Deposits are stated at principal value of fixed deposits
plus interest accrued but not due as on 31st March 2021.

(2) Membership Fees collected & Event Receipts (net of taxes) are credited to Profit &
Loss Account.

(3) Amount collected towards contribution to legal expenses are credited to Earmarked
Fund under the head ‘MCHI Legal Fund A/c’.

(4) Previous year’s figures have been regrouped wherever necessary.
