Spirits Soar at our Annual Kick-off Event

Earlier this year, members and friends came together at Broken Earth Winery in
Long Grove, a CWC Corporate Steward supporter, for our first Connections
Event this year to kick off the season. Thanks to their generosity, attendees
enjoyed complimentary wine, catching up with friends and the opportunity to win
raffle prizes. It was a joyous occasion, bringing together many local women that
hadn’t seen each other in a long time, strengthening connections and building new
friendships all in the name of community and charity!

LETTER FROM THE CO-PRESIDENTS

DANIELLE BORECZKY AND CHRIS GEIMER Imagining a Bright New Year
Co-Presidents
As we reflect on 2021, it’s been unique in so many ways and

more importantly your participation and generosity helped us reach

appreciate the help of our sponsors and donors whose generous

and grateful for the amazing job of our board members who worked
www.marykay.com/mshell diligently to address every detail and ensure it was a success. Thank
you from the bottom of our hearts!

We are especially looking forward to the many bright opportunities
coming up to connect. Join us at our annual Yoga, Wine & Chocolate
Night on January 27 where we’ll get together to reconnect and dedi-
cate the night to fundraising for our high school scholarships. At all of
our events, you have an opportunity to network with local women and
build a closer connection to your community.

We also have upcoming opportunities to join our Board. If you
have a little extra time to donate, we can use your help! CWC has
no paid staff, so all of our funds raised go directly into the commu-
nity, and many hands make light work. Consider dropping in to our
board meeting in January, where we will welcome guests at Hawthorn
Woods Country Club.

We know that there are still challenges ahead, but looking ahead, we
are hopeful that a brighter future is again upon us, blessing each of us.
On behalf of our CWC board, we wish you and yours a safe, healthy
and joyful new year.

We look forward to seeing many of you face to face this year. . . please feel free
to contact us with any question you might have: [email protected].
