INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT WORD :-
Microsoft Word is a software which is developed by Microsoft
Corporation. It is also known as a Word Processor.
Microsoft Word or MSWord is used for typing, viewing,
storing, retrieving, editing, rearranging and printing the text
material.
Most of the features of Word are in the Ribbon, the area that
spans the top of the WORD. The ribbon has seven basic tabs
and each tab has several groups that show related items
together. A command is a button, a menu or box where we can
enter information.
* STEPS TO START MICROSOFT WORD
1. Click on the Start Button
2. Select All Programs in the Start Menu
3. Select Microsoft Office
4. Click Microsoft Office Word.
OR
Directly type Word in the search box.
COMPONENTS OF MS WORD
1. TITLE BAR :- The bar along the top of the screen is called
Title bar. The title bar displays the name of the document which
you are currently working on. There is Minimize (-), restore(
),close(X) on the right hand side corner of the bar.
2. QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR :-
It is a customizable toolbar that contains
commands that you may want to use.
You can place the quick access toolbar above or
below the ribbon.
3. RIBBON :- The Ribbon is designed to help you
quickly find the commands that you need to complete a
task.
The ribbon has seven basic tabs and each tab has
several groups that show related items together.
→The very first and the most important tab is the Home Tab
which is having several buttons.
