Greenway Forest

The tale of the cursed things, that lie in Greenway Forest.

Greenway Forest

“What a nice day to go on a walk and get away from
everyone,” I said. “I as in me, Victor Anderson.” I am a C-average
high school student. I am just your average rebel that doesn’t
listen to anyone and always sneaks out. I was going to go on a
walk alone in Greenway Forest which everyone tells you not to
do but me being as dumb as a doorknob, I went in alone. I just
wanted to see what people were so afraid of.

It was so quiet and peaceful, and I found a comfy little
place of grass and lie in front of the giant evergreen. It was so
silent, I could hear my heart beating. This place was so
amazing that I wanted to stay here forever. Well at least at the
time…

When I had woke up from my nap, something was off. It was
already night, and I looked at my smartwatch. It was completely
dead even though, it was completely charged when I had left.
The green, and I mean all of the green, was slowly changing
color; it was changing to a dark shade of red and dripping.
Everything except for the bush.

The bush was just your average plain green shrub, nothing
special. Except this one was. The forest was still as silent as a
library, but I heard noises from behind the bush.

At first, I heard a “CKACKA”, I thought it was a crow. It went on
for about a minute then stopped abruptly.

Then I could hear a “ssssssss”. I had thought it was a snake,
but this was no snake. It had done the same thing as the crow
noise going on for about a minute and then stopped.

I had finally gotten so curious I crept forward and the ground
was oozing red goop. It was gross and slimy, but my curiosity
kept me going. I kept stepping closer and closer until I was in
front of it. I looked over, and it was a baby Demogorgon. Then it
had hit me, the Demogorgon had eaten the snake, and the bird,
then it looked at me.

In case you were wondering, a Demogorgon is a mythical
creature that doesn’t exactly have a face. It looks like it has flower
petals; five to be exact around the edge of its face. Except it was all
full of teeth. It was very skinny, and you could see its rib cage
sticking out. It has four long claw fingers, and it is extremely tall,
but this one was a child. It still had all the same features, but it was
smaller, and still as terrifying

It had started sprinting like a cheetah at me, and I had to start
running for my life. It just ran on his hands and feet and
screamed while chasing me. After running around the trees and
the oozing red goop for a good twenty minutes, I was about to
give up when I saw a bright yellow door. I ran like my life
depended on it, which it did. When I had gotten there I opened
the door and ran through and slammed it shut.

When I had gotten there, I was on a hospital bed laying down.
I started coughing a lot, I had IVs and tubes up my nose, and my
parents were sitting next to me crying because I had woken up.
Apparently, I was going to Greenway Forest, but I didn’t even
make it out of my front door. My dad said that I had just
collapsed, and they took me to the hospital and the doctors had
run some tests, and they said that I would never wake up from
the coma that I was in.

After about a week, I was out of the hospital and fully
recovered, but I could never recover from the things that I saw.
From that day forward, I never walked within a mile radius of that
wretched Greenway Forest.
