About the Author

P©99y Collins has been illustrating for as long as she can remember, and still treasures the books

she made in kindergarten. She has dabbled in all sorts oF media, including sculpture, acrylic, pastel,
scratchboard, and collage, though she nouj ujorks primarily in gouache, pencil crayon, and ink. She has
illustrated more than ten books For children, including Shaun the Shy Shark, Tallula’s At/shoo, and There’s
a Spider in the Bath.

In the SnoLu Features the same main character as her previous picture book. In the Garden. Both uuere
inspired by her Family’s mini-adventures in their oLun backyard. It is aluuays a good day to to go outside
at their house—in snouj, ujind, rain, or sun, you can usually Find them outside someuuhere.

Peggy Collins has been gn

illustrgtor her entire liFe. She began
ujriting and illustrating books in
kindergarten and had her First “real”
book published about Four years ago.
Since then, she has illustrated more than
ten books For children.

Peggy is a graduate oF the illustration
program at Sheridan College in Oakville,
Ontario. She lives ujith her Family near
Napanee, Ontario, Canada, in a crooked
little house beside a uuinding river that
gets piles oF glorious snocu.
In the SnoLu is her second book as both
author and illustrator, and Features the
same main character as In the Garden.
