To see the world in a grain of sand…

“Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.”
― William Wordsworth

This anthology of poems, collated from across the world, is an attempt to delve into our creative instincts and bring
forth gems of emotion which will serve to inspire and console in the unusual times that we live in.
In today’s world, when we are facing numerous challenges and problems, ranging from the devastating corona
pandemic to climate change and internal conflicts, these poems express and envision hope for better days, thereby
highlighting the indomitable spirit of humanity.
Ranging from soulful lines to thought provoking ideas, these poems cover a gamut of issues, challenges and
emotions. Here, you will find some poets wrestling with their internal conflicts, whereas others express their inner
stirrings related to concern for Nature, love, life and the future. Even, through stark imagery, mournful and
melancholic lines, they make us introspect and delve deeper into our conscience to prod us into affirmative action.
With the primary purpose to encourage creativity, engage young minds in critical thinking and expression, this
anthology would achieve the true essence of collaboration. This anthology is a testament to the fact that boundaries
don’t define people, their thoughts do and the thoughts that have come together in this collection of poems can’t
be demarcated by the yardstick with which we recognise diversity.
It was an equally fulfilling experience for the educators and collaborators alike as they got an insight into the
musing of these young minds. It was rewarding to see them find meaning in their experience through the power of
words, emotions and awareness. It was a fascinating experience to guide these young poets to appreciate poetry as
a literary art form and relate it to the present times.
We are sure that as you embark on your journey of the mind and heart through these poems, you will be left with
a sense of wonder and fulfilment too.
