Feedback
• Hi can I just say a massive thank you to all the
midwifes I’ve seen during pregnancy and afterwards
but a massive thank you to sally Atkins in the
community she’s a credit to her job such a lovely and
understanding woman thank you x
• Recently had my baby girl born here and the midwifes
was just amazing. Fiona and Charlotte are the main two
I can remember I can’t thank them enough for all they
did ! And the other midwife who took over from
Charlotte (one student). The care and compassion I
received was wonderful and I felt so supported I can’t
thank you enough for delivering baby Olivia safely into
the world. Xx
Feedback
• Hi I had a baby on Friday (my first) and I’d really like to
send praise about my midwives, they were just fantastic -
as were the postnatal nurses too.
• I just wanted to pass on a huge thank you to yourself and
your team for your care for myself, my husband and baby girl,
when I had my recent elective Caesarean section in March at
UHCW. From admission, to theatre, right through to recovery,
yourself and the team were so professional, organised and
friendly which helped me to feel more relaxed in what can be
both a happy and anxious time. You also taking the time to
explain exactly what was happening and why in a really calm
and reassuring way, particularly in theatre, made me feel
immediately reassured that I was in safe hands! What a
fabulous job you all do- I cannot thank you enough.

Gynaecology patients across Coventry and Warwickshire are set to benefit from improved
access and more specialised care following the launch of a new system-wide Multi-Disciplinary
Team (MDT).
• Experts from UHCW, George Eliot Hospital and Warwick Hospital will sit on the new centralised
Gynaecology MDT.
• Clinicians and experts from across a range of specialities and the region will now come together to
assess and agree criteria to diagnose and treat patients.
• The centralised Gynaecology MDT replaces the three individual MDTs at each of the NHS Trusts
within the Coventry and Warwickshire Health and Care Partnership integrated care system.
• Dr Lydia Fresco, Senior Responsible Officer for Cancer in Coventry and Warwickshire, said:
“Combining the localised MDTs will reduce diagnosis times for patients, streamline patient referral
processes, give high quality management of patient care and improve the monitoring and evaluation
of patient care.
• “I’m extremely proud of all of the teams who have come to together with the determination of
improving patient outcomes. The contribution from our NHS management graduates and trainees
has been invaluable throughout the work to create this new centralised MDT.”
• Surgeon Smruta Shanbhag, chair of the new centralised MDT, added: “I am proud to chair this
exciting venture which will help expedite and deliver the specialist complex management of women
with gynaecological cancer across Coventry and Warwickshire.
• “My colleagues have worked very hard to make this happen. There will be regular governance
processes in place to improve this service continuously. It is also an educational platform.”

• Professor Andy Hardy, our Chief Executive Officer, said: “This is undoubtedly a vital time in the
history of the NHS with the UK’s entire health system coming together to respond to and
recover from arguably the greatest challenge it has ever faced.
• “Our amazing team works tirelessly to ensure that we always put our patients first as we face
the continuing demands of Covid-19 head-on, alongside crucial work to restore our services in
a safe and effective way. We are honoured to be able to share a look inside this momentous

Episcissors
• Episcissors are not disposable!
• On a recent count it appears that 6 pairs of episcissors are
missing from the department, are not in sterile supplies so
assumed missing and disposed of.
• These are very expensive to replace so please do not throw
them away after use.
K2
GBS
• GBS results are documented on K2 under ‘Investigations’.
• Always refer to CRRS as the main results reporting system, making each
contact count.
K2
GBS Positive Results
• Update the risk assessment by selecting the flower icon.
• K2 is being developed to add GBS under ‘fetal risks’. In the meantime
select the star at the bottom and free text in ‘GBS’ to add as a risk.

CO Monitoring
• Thank you for the huge improvements of CO monitoring for women who
are admitted into hospital, this is brilliant and thank you.
• Please ensure you are documenting the CO results in the CO Testing
wizard on K2 (rather than free text documentation). This is really important
because data is pulled and reported from the CO testing wizard.

Feedback
• Attending the session at the MAMTA with Rebecca O Donnell
was so incredibly valuable and I feel immensely grateful. She
provided so much insight in such a short space of time and
connected with me very quickly. I paid hundreds of pounds for a
private course and I still believe our time was even more beneficial.
I also met her in the hospital and she supported me there too.
Thank you, Rebecca, for all your support and MAMTA team to
provide the service! Happy International Midwives Day!
• I am from India and my midwife was Collette French. She really
supported me through pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy and I was
nervous about everything. She referred me to the MAMTA to attend a
pregnancy session, it was very beneficial for me. I recommend
everyone to attend pregnancy sessions. Thank you, Collette French, for
everything Happy Midwives Day!
