EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Revolutionising Teen Mental Health Support Mental health struggles are a growing challenge for teenagers today. Stress, anxiety, and emotional struggles are common, yet support is not always easily accessible. That’s why we created MindEaze, a mental health app designed specifically for teens, combining guided exercises, journaling, mood tracking, and access to professional consultants in one easy-to-use platform, which had been endorsed by the Cyprus Psychologist Association. Our mission is simple: to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging space where young people can take control of their mental well-being. Unlike other mental health apps, MindEaze was designed by young people, for young people. We know that traditional mental health resources can feel overwhelming or clinical, so we built something fresh, relatable, and interactive. Our penguin mascot, Pickle, stands as a symbol of resilience and support, he brings warmth and personality to the app, making mental wellness feel approachable and even enjoyable. We go beyond basic mindfulness exercises, our app offers a variety of activities tailored to different emotions, including breathing techniques, nutrition guidance, and stress-relief exercises. Plus, we provide a personalised experience, allowing users to track their moods, write in their private journal, and even connect with professional consultants when needed. Available in both English and Greek, MindEaze is designed to be inclusive and accessible to a diverse audience. Sincerely, Mariam Abdulgader (CEO) Our Journey & Commitment The idea for MindEaze came from our Human Resources Director, who saw how many teens were silently struggling with mental heath issues. With the help of our team, we transformed that vision into a reality, using market research, user feedback, and expert mentorship to build an app that truly meets the needs of young people today. To enhance our application, we contacted the Cyprus Psychologists’ Association to gain advice and support, in the future we are open to collaborating with the Psychologists’ association and have them be a partner. Like any startup, we faced challenges, our biggest being sustainability. We weren’t just building an app; we were creating a movement to make mental health support free and available to those who need it the most. To keep the app running while staying true to our mission, we explored creative revenue models, integrating non-intrusive ads and planning a future premium version that offers even more personalised features. MindEaze started as an idea, but it has become much more, a platform that can provide thousands of teens with useful mental health tools, helping them manage stress, build resilience, and access professional support when they need it most. And thanks to our operations manager, we were able to build the app and craft it to our liking. We are optimistic about the success of the app in the future as we remain committed to helping teens take control of their mental health in a way that feels right for them. 2
1.1 Our Aim, Hopes, and Vision At MindEaze, our goal has always been to create a safe, accessible, and effective mental health space for teenagers. We recognise the challenges young people face; stress, anxiety, and emotional struggles, and we want to ensure they have the right tools to overcome them. Our vision is to make mental well-being a normal and approachable part of everyday life, removing stigma and making support available to everyone who needs it. 1.2 The Story Behind Our Brand From the start, we knew we wanted MindEaze to feel welcoming, calming, and supportive. That’s where our penguin mascot came in. Penguins symbolise resilience, teamwork, and adaptability, qualities that align perfectly with mental health and self-growth. Our marketing team designed the logo, carefully crafting a penguin that represents comfort and companionship, reminding users they are never alone in their journey. Our brand colours, purple and green, were chosen with purpose. Purple represents wisdom and emotional depth, while green is widely recognised as the colour of mental health, symbolising balance, renewal, and healing. Together, they create a calming yet empowering atmosphere, reinforcing our mission of self-care and mental well-being. Our slogan, “Feel seen. Feel healed. Feel eaze.” captures everything we stand for, recognition, healing, and peace of mind. It’s more than just words; it’s a promise that every feature of our app is designed to help teens feel understood, supported, and in control of their mental health. 1.3 Lessons from Our Journey Building MindEaze has been a learning experience in every way. And although we had our fair share of bumps in the road we managed to pass the obstacles and push to the end and in our journey we gained lifelong lessons. From the early brainstorming sessions to designing an intuitive user experience, we gained valuable insights into mental health, technology, marketing, and business strategy. We learned the importance of balancing our mission with sustainability, adapting to challenges, and listening to real user feedback. Most importantly, we discovered that creating a positive impact requires dedication, teamwork, and a deep understanding of the people we want to help. Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding MindEaze, improving the apps features, and reaching more teens worldwide. With our penguin mascot leading the way, we hope to continue providing a space where young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to take charge of their mental well-being. 3
