Simon Wood, Holly Marland and Michael Cretu are the Mysterious Collective.
Simon Wood is one of the UK’s premier players of the Handpan or “Hang
Drum” as it is popularly known, a steel, hand-played pan that looks and
sounds out of this world! Playing uplifting, euphoric, electronica-esque
melodic grooves, danceable rhythms and beautiful chilled-out acoustic
magic. Their music is influenced by mix of African, Middle Eastern and South-
East Asian flavours with infectious melodies and danceable grooves and
hauntingly beautiful breaks and intros. Come and hear original music like no
one else is making, come and dance and sing with them – they promise to
uplift your soul and take you to a very happy place! www.simonwoodmusic.

FOlly BROtheRs - 16:OO - 17:OO
The Folly Brothers is a Leamington-based bluegrass trio consisting of brothers Mark
Roden (acoustic guitar) and Jonny Roden (banjo), and Wes Stanton (double bass).
Going down a storm on festival circuit, and having appeared on the BBC Introducing
success, the trio delves into a gritty and rootsy mélange full of sweeping licks, pumping
bass lines and tasty harmonies. They successfully blend a modern country twang
with rollicking bluegrass which has stirred up the UK roots circuit. Currently recording
music to be released later in the year, keep your eye out for release info and details of
upcoming shows. @TheFollyBrothers - www.facebook.com/TheFollyBrothers

The Sweet WateR WaRBleRs 15:15 - 16:15
Michigan songbirds, Rachael Davis, Lindsay Lou and May Erlewine take your breath away
almost as an amazing force of nature might have the same effect. Since coming together,
the three singing sirens and multi-instrumentalists whose repertoire swings from
gospel and bluegrass to soul and even joyful interpretations of pop, have become one of
thehottest properties on the US roots music circuit. With three-part vocal harmonies that
are sublime, they trade instruments including mountain fiddle and banjo, uke, guitar and
double bass. When they released their latest recording in the UK, it attracted much praise,
AmericanaUK awarding the disc a 9/10 rating. “Outstanding! This is top drawer roots
music,” said reviewer Rick Bayles. www.sweetwaterwarblers.com

KinG BRasstaRds 15:15 - 16:3O
Inspired by the sounds of the streets of New Orleans, 7-piece Leicester outfit, King
Brasstards, have been taking the live music scene by storm since their inception just over
two years ago. Covering everything from swing classics through to modern pop hits and
soulful numbers, they are sure to please whatever the occasion. Priding themselves on a
mobile and energetic live performance, they feature a mighty sousaphone, percussion,
marching-style snare drummer and four horns, and are always open to song requests,
giving them the King Brass-treatment. www.facebook.com/kingbrasstards
TeRRaFOlK 15:OO - 16:OO
Their unique approach to presenting music, rapport with audiences and distinctive
mix of musical genres from ethnic, folk, world music, pop, classical and rock, the
group built up a unique phenomenon that proved convincing to both demanding
music critics and juries of international music prizes like the Spirit of the Fringe,
Boomerang 2002, BBC Radio World Music Audience Award, Tap Water Awards... The
band has released 7albums and perform in 17 different countries. It would be a
brave person who thought that he had the measure of a Terrafolk show. There are the
gypsy traditions, the conservatory-standard musicianship, liberal injections of lunacy,
audience participation, fiery exchanges between violin and accordion and just when
you’re thinking, well, that’s quite a lot to be going on with, they’ll produce some expert
Bach or a heavy-metal solo out of an innocent-looking acoustic guitar... Rob Adams,

SwinG ZazOU 18:15 - 19:35
Electro Swing dance band Swing Zazou collide vintage 30’s & 40’s big band and
Gypsy Swing with live-mixed beats - a foot-stomping recipe of soaring hot-swingin’

and irresistible sound of live Electro Swing. Expect to hear a kicking up-tempo live
show with a full clarinet-led live band of trumpet, violin, helicon, guitar, double-bass,
drums and live-mixed beats... A driving toe-tapping vintage Swing sound dragged
through the decades and into the new Swing Club scene. From the original Electro
Swing tunes to covers of back-in-the day classics such as It Ain’t Right, Don’t Fall
Asleep and Diga Diga Doo, Swing Zazou creates a modern Swing party to wear out
the soles of your spats! Swing Zazou have also performed live on the BBC Radio 1 as
part of the Rob da Bank Electro Swing Special, and their debut track ‘Wideboy’ has

We have been working with Dee Moxon, an experienced Carnival maker and lantern builder, and Caenhill
Countryside Centre for our latest Carnival Development programme. Dee is an experienced artist from
the Lamplighters – an association of artists, designers and urbanists creating positive change through
arts. Dee ran a series of free workshops at the Centre in May and June to create a life size Sacred Cow
and masks for Devizes Carnival. Participants learned new skills, met some great people and animals,
and made something fantastic for Devizes Carnival. The theme embraces the celebration of the 70th
anniversary of India’s Independence and, of course, Widget the cow.
