01 - Squeeze the graphic on the edge, so that can be
easily inserted into the LAM WALL inner C shaped
profile
01 a - Detailed show: there is a 7 mm plastic tube in
the pocket of the graphic. Squeeze the graphic around
tube

02 - Pull the graphic into the profile
02a - The easiest way to insert a wide graphics into
the profile is if you do it on the table or on the floor.
No matter from which side you are inserting the
graphic, always press down the graphics with one
hand and push the LAM WALL horizontal bar with the
other
02b - Not recommended: some graphics may be made
of soft material and can deform if they are pulled with
fingers only

03 - Done. Graphic is inserted in the LAM WALL
horizontal profile. Note that the graphics is a bit wide
on both sides than the LAM WALL profile.

side.

2. LAM WALL graphics: grapfic
shall be always rolled to a small
diameter, that remains in
circular shape during transport
or storage.

9

SETTING UP 01
02
Setting up LAM WALL
horizontal bars on legs

Once you have legs attached to the bases (and
graphics inserted), you only need to put all together.

Both legs (single or double) have square holes on the
top and on the bottom. These are used to hook LAM
WALL or LAM ROLL horizontal bar to it. You can choose
any hole.

01 - Attach the horizontal bar with inserted and rolled
graphic to the one leg at the top and then to another.
Which one you do first is not important
02 - unroll graphic
03 - insert graphic in the bottom horizontal bar
04 - hook the horizontal bar with spring mechanis or
horizontal bar for graphic at the bottom (pull down,
find the hole and relese).

03

IMPORTANT NOTE

Use same hole position at the top and at the bottom
of the leg.

LAM WALL has sliding hooks that alows you
different leg position.

SETTING UP

LAM Octa set up

LAM is the easiest way to set up a practical and
impressive trade stand. LAM modular system offers
countless combinations to be fit for size and shape in
every exhibition area. Ease of transportation and
installation makes of LAM the top choice to customize
your trade show stand.
● attach the horizontal bar with inserted and rolled

graphic at the top to Octanorm construction
● unroll graphic
● insert graphic in the bottom horizontal bar
● hook the horizontal bar with spring mechanis or

horizontal bar for graphic at the bottom (pull down,
find the hole and relese).

Setting up on wall

You can mount LAM WALL on any kind of wall:
● screw a simple, small standard “U” profile on the

wall and hook LAM on it.

11

SETTING UP

RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend you to use the following procedure to
setup a stand at the trade show, congress, conference
or similar event:
● bring all the equipment in front of your stand and

arrange it so you can easily move around,
● distribute the bases to approx. positions,
● bring the legs to bases,
● screw the bases to the legs,
● bring them upright (to make space in the stand

area for graphic mounting),
● use horizontal bar(s) to determine the exact

length,
● check the legs if they are standing parallel, then

adjust them with the adjustment wheel feet in the
base,
● insert graphics to LAM WALL upper horizontal bars,
● hook LAM WALL upper horizontal bar on the top
● unroll graphic
● insert graphic in the bottom bar
● hook the horizontal bar with spring mechanis or
horizontal bar for graphic at the bottom (pull down,
find the hole and relese)
● adjust graphic (move a bit to the left or to the
right) to remove waves,
● continue with the next graphic until all are done,
● fine-tune the graphics in such way, that all overlap
each other a bit and are nicely straight and in line,
● set up other equipment (counter, leaflet holder,
lights,...)

IMPORTANT NOTE

Once the final assembly is done and connected to
each other DO NOT MOVE OR PULL IT.

This will prevent your items (especially legs) from
getting damaged.

12

GRAPHICS FINE TUNNING

Fine tune the graphics to be nicely straight and
correctly set:
● you can move the lower horizontal bar or just the

graphic inside: maybe just few mm to the left or
right;
● you can adjust the little wheels on the bases: to
make inclination of the leg or to raise/lower the
base;
● you can also pull down the graphic and release it:
the springs inside the horizontal bar will find the
new position and so you can also re-adjust the
vertical position of the graphics; this is useful tip if
you have continued aphic over two or more parts

CONTINUOUS, LONG GRAPHICS

In order to have continuous, long graphics, across
many horizontal bars, you can adjust graphics to be
without gaps:
● align the graphic on the both sides of horizontal

bar
● when graphics (design) are not in line pull a bit up

(or down) the left (or right) graphic

If done so, you will not have any gaps in between and
the wall will look like in one piece.

REMOVING ‘WAVES’ IN THE IMPORTANT NOTE
GRAPHICS
It is much easier to adjust
If you get diagonal waves (or curves), you can remove graphics (moving it a bit to the
them in several ways. left or to the right in the
● check if the bases are paralel. If so, align them, as horizontal profile) while LAM
WALL is released at the bottom
far as possible (not hooked at the bottom).
● check if some of the legs are leaning a bit to back

and the others to the front. If so, use the
adjustment wheels on the bases to compensate
(unscrew = higher, screw-in = lower position)
● check if the floor is straight (no bumps or slight
height differences). Again, you can use the
adjustment wheels on the bases
● slide a bit the lower horizontal bar to the left or to
the right.

13

SETING UP LAM LIGHTS 01

(compatible with LAM WALL and
LAM OCTA)

Attaching the light on a console: 02

01 - slide the mortise part of the light (shown with
arrows) to the LAM light holder

02 - Done. Now you can slide LAM light to the left or
to the right and distribute the lights evenly according
to the graphics

03 - Finally part: adjust the moving head of the light
to desired position (to lighten the graphics or the
stand area).

03

14

GRAFIC STORAGE AND/OR
TRANSPORTATION

01

01 - first remove graphics from lower horizontal bar

02 - roll it towards the upper bar

03 - then unhook upper horizontal bar with rolled
graphics from legs and store them properly

02

03

04

IMPORTANT NOTE 05

Graphics shall always be rolled in a small radius
(picture 04 and 05). Rolled so, they will not get
damaged during the transport and storage (not get
flatten).

MAINTENANCE

General guidelines

Humidity

Keep all equipment in dry place. If it is wet (outdoor use), dry it (use soft cotton or paper towels) before
packing it into the bags or boxes. If this is not possible at site, dry it when you bring it home (unpack,
clean and dry, pack back). If your bags are wet, dry them before you store them in your storage room.

Cleaning

Graphics and construction can get dirty or wet. On the trade fair could happen that somebody spill the
juice or coffee on the graphics. Use plain water with soft sponge to clean it. Depends on the technology
your graphics has been printed (solvent ink, sublimation, water-based, UV-curable, latex...), follow the
procedure that is recommended by the printer company. In most cases, strong alcohol-based cleaning
liquids are not recommended. In many cases the glass cleaning fluid is OK.

Temperature

Try to avoid big temperature difference just before you set all things up. All material need some time to
adjust to the room temperature if they have been transported to a distant place via car, truck, airplane.
In cold environment, materials (graphics) became a bit harder and can act a bit different.

Graphics

Keep all the graphics outside the horizontal bar. Do not roll them around the horizontal bar. Pull them
out and roll one by one separately. Each roll for one graphic only. Roll them to a very small diameter
(ca. 5-8 cm, depends on length), that the roll will remain in circular shape. You can use stretch foil to
keep it in a circular shape. If the roll is loose, it can get flatten or in eslipce-like shape and left marks
after it has been in a bag or storage room for a while.

Packing

During packing people might be tired or in a hurry after long and intensive event. Please remain
systematical and disassemble everything with care. Small parts can easily get lost. So, always crews the
screws back to the legs. If you will change the graphics, do not forget about the 7 mm tube that shall
be in the pocket (the best is, that each graphic has its own always in the pocket). Take time and
arrange all parts nicely and place them apart, with the pads in between to avoid scratching during the
transport.

Keeping your system in good repair

Your construction and graphics can last very long. The best solution is to assign one person to be
responsible for the whole system: storage, transportation, setting up and disassembling, quality check
and inspection that all parts are still there. He (or she) has to be responsible for everything.

It is recommended that everything is checked also a week or two before you will use it again, just for a
case. In case of something gets broken or lost, contact immediately your LAM reseller to handle the
situation.

For a safety reason only original LAM parts and spare parts are allowed.

18

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Maximum setup dimension

Please, abide by the recommended maximum size as described in this manual. In case of special
setup, consult with your LAM reseller and event organizer before.

Customizing the setup

Before setting up the stand in any other shape or arrangement that was meant at the first place, it is
obligatory to consult with you LAM reseller. In case of hazardous environment, contact the event
organizer, technical personal of the building for further safety instructions.

Outdoor use - wind

In case of using LAM in windy condition, please use additional heavy weight base. If you can, fix the
base with a spike to the floor. If it is too much windy, unroll the graphics. Strong wind can take away
everything. Not only take away, but also throw to somebody or to something.

Trade fair setup

When setting up and arranging additional LAM equipment on the trade fair, keep in mind, that it
might be crowdy and people need space when they are in your stand.

Lights

Do not pack the lights to your bag or box immediately after you have turned it off. They might still
be hot and can cause melting other materials to glue to the light. After next use, that could start to
burn.

Technical support

You can always contact your local dealer, reseller or distributor for any technical support.

MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED
DIMENSIONS

Single suspension:

● smallest size would be 500 x 1000h mm
● max recommended and mostly used size: 1500 x 2000h mm

We recommend that for Single suspension do not go over 1500
mm width due to vertical force on horizontal bar for graphics.

Double suspension:

● smallest size would still be 500 x 1000h mm
● max recommended size: 3000 x 2500h mm

Whenever the graphics is 2000 mm or wider,
we recommend full suspension. This will keep
graphics perfectly straight.
