HOKU

HOKU MAGAZINE was founded on the basis of
shedding light on the good that encompasses the
fashion industry.
We are a narrative that highlights brands who create effort-
less silhouettes and killer accessories, while still being con-
scious of their impact. We aim to encourage, we aim to
empower, and we aim to unfold the beauty of various cul-
tures that inspires fashion.
OUR STORY
As all three of us come from Native Hawaiian backgrounds, our
passion for sustainability runs deep. We’ve seen first hand how
integral and delicate our beloved eco-systems are. In addition,
we’ve all experienced cultural insensitivity, sexism, and the
unruly standards society has geared us to follow – this is why
HOKU’s mission goes far beyond teaching consumers to be
more “eco-friendly”.
Instead, we aim to combat the norm in all forms –
empowering women, empowering concious brands and
empowering the belief that every fashion choice matters.
With a firm belief that collabortion, passionand dedication can
create magic, HOKU Magazine was born.
Every concious brand has a story, and we’re here to tell it.
HOKU is seriously fierce, and ready to lighten the fashion
industry one story at a time.

STATS ISSUE TIMELINE
HOKU Magazine is an online publication that releases
one issue per season. In addition to each issue, we also
curate a selection of editorials throughout the waiting
period to ensure that our readers are constantly
engaged. We recently released our second issue,
Modern Opulence, which generated nearly 50,000
impressions and 9,000 visitors in the first week of it's
release.
Since our release, we have featured over 55 global
brands in a series of articles, editorials and visual
journals. All content within our magazine has been
curated by our HOKU team and shared with each of the
brands we've collaborated with.
We are currently working on our third issue.
