Hey everybody. Just a lil note to say
check your bikes out. Tire pressure is
key. Also just ‘cause you have good

tread doesn’t mean you don’t need
new tires. Check the dates on the

side of your tires.
Look on the outer sidewall for the acronym "DOT,"
which should be followed by a series of numbers.
The last four digits are what you need to determine
when the tire was manufactured. The first two num-
bers represent the week, and the second pair indi-

cates the year.
I just went through this with my bike. Keep the

rubber down and watch out for monsoons.
Catch ya later.

SUNSHINE REPORT — July/August

July
Jerry Moon, Lindzy Frost, Congratulations note on their very spe-
cial engagement! We hope you have a very happy life together now and
whenever you decide to make it official! However, we were sad to hear (read)
that you both ended up with Covid after your Key West adventures and had to
include a Get-Well card! Life together will challenge you, but if you get through
it together, you know it's all going to work out great! XO
Ginny "Lady Harley" Rich, Get Well card for her recovery from two blot clots
in her lungs. Scary to say the least, but she is out about and doing well with
her knight in shining armor by her side. We love and appreciate you both and
support all that you are doing with your business to protect our freedom.
George Smith, a Get-Well card for him feeling under the weather, but if you
ask him if it's Covid, he'll say, "Yeah, I'll take a six pack." Our favorite Products
helper, trucker and helluva dancer would never let anything keep him away
from the group for too long. Feel Better Soon, George! XO
Bruce Page, a Get-Well card for his shoulder surgery. We hope he is doing
well and able to get back to bidness and livin' life pain free soon!
SPECIAL MENTION:
Roy Steel lost his 96-year-old Mamma, but he knows she lived a good life,
and it was time for her to be free of pain and limitations. May their family re-
member and honor her for the influence and guidance she gave them as only
a very special MOM can. Healing Hugs to the family.
Trudi Steel had another surgery on her ankle to try and relieve the pain and
restrictions she had from previous injuries. She is a major front-line trooper as
she was able to show up to the event of another biker group to show support
in a boot and in a wheelchair! We love you, Trudi...this Chapter is lucky to
have your heart, soul, and dedication. Smooches n' Hugs, Dear Girl! XO

Rick and Tina Loy, a Sympathy card for the loss of Pops, Rick's dad and a
dear friend to Gator Alley. The service was a throwback to the traditional with a
viewing, an amazing eulogy by Jim Kalvin, hearse escort to the graveside ser-
vice, and a final goodbye as Pops was laid to eternal rest next to Rick's Mom
with a gravestone that said "The man lived without worry or regret." It was an
honor to be part of such an honorable farewell. God Bless the Loy family and
may all the whisky in Heaven be top shelf! We will miss you!
Dot and Paul Evans, a Sympathy card for the loss of Dot's sister to cancer.
This horrible disease puts a void in families that hurts for a lifetime, but hope-
fully the remaining family members can keep each other lifted up with fond
memories and special signs from above. We love you, Otis and Partway. On a
happier note: #1 daughter Hannah has embarked on her own business journey
and will offer a mobile bar for all occasions. Keep an eye out for updates on
this new adventure. If she needs advertising, we are here for her!!
Ron Strobel, a Get Well card for a bout with sepsis that sent him to the hospi-
tal twice. Once for the illness and back again because of a bad reaction to the
medicine! We know our Ron is too strong to be down for long so we know this
setback will be just a memory soon. You've got a great partner to see you
through and keep ya going! XO
SPECIAL MENTION:
Doc Reichenbach: Keep him in your prayers as he suffered a heart attack
and was dealing with Covid. He will always be our respected Legislative Lead-
er and Warrior.
The Tripiano Family: #1 Daughter Maria opened up a vegan/gluten free bak-
ery downtown across from NCH hospital with tasty homemade treats you
would never know what's missing. Hopefully we can get her to advertise cour-
tesy of Vern! :-)
Rambo and Debi Reinbold: Congratulations on grandbaby #6, another little
boy to keep them buried in snips and snails and puppy dog tails!!
Scarlett Leeper: Congratulations on her latest great
grandbaby! He is one lucky little guy having the Queen
on his side!
When you save room for dessert, you are expressing
your pie-orities.

Hey Gang, check out these Motor Cycle Safety Myths?!!
courtesy of Tobacco MotoWear
Motorcycles continue to grow in popularity, but despite the number of riders on the road increasing there
are safety myths that continue to be told. If you are going to be riding a bike, you need to know the truth
about safety so you can take the proper precautions to protect yourself when you are out on the road. The
key to being safe when out on the road is being alert and driving in a space where you are more visible.
You also want to follow all traffic laws and make yourself as visible as possible by wearing brighter colors
or having a bike that is a brighter color. There are many things you can do to encourage safety on the road-
way, but you shouldn’t fall prey to the myths that abound.
Popular Motorcycle Safety Myths
Leather’s Just a Fashion Statement: Nope! In this case, looking cool is a side effect. Leather is strong
and resistant to abrasion, so if you end up hitting the pavement the leather will protect your skin better than
other, less-heavy duty materials.
Wearing full-faced motorcycle helmets restrict visibility. Only if we’re talking about a bald spot you’d
like to hide! The Department of Transportation requires that motorcycle helmets have a field of view that
won’t negatively impact your peripheral vision. With a 210-degree field of view, full-faced helmets protect
your entire head and keep the wind, rain, debris, and bugs away from your face.
Start on a big bike: For some reason, the rumor has been passed around that a big bike is great for begin-
ners, but they weigh more and are much harder to handle in parking lots and on tight turns. Bigger engines
have more torque, which is great when you want to open it up a little bit (when you know what you’re do-
ing), but not when you’re a newbie trying to stay upright while riding around in the rain.
Loud Pipes Save Lives: I think I first sprouted chest hair after I heard my dad start up his Triumph
Bonneville with modified pipes. It sounded like God playing the intro for “Hot For Teacher”! However,
there’s an issue with loud pipes: the sound goes backward, where you’ve already been, and where people
can already see you. It’s not going to do so much for the cars in front of you, who can stop short, change
lanes, and do all sorts of dangerous things without even being aware that you’re there.
Roads and streets are safer than the interstate: This myth comes from the belief that driving at slower
speeds is safer. Studies show, however, that 91% of all accidents involving a motorcycle and a passenger
vehicle occur on roads that were not interstates. While you travel faster on interstates, the flow of traffic
and wider lanes as well as not facing opposing traffic is beneficial. Streets and roads have more intersec-
tions, and intersections are the leading place for accidents.
Lay It Down in a Crash: Nope! While you might treat your bike like a lady, it ain’t one, so there’s no
need to get horizontal with it. If you have time to lay the bike down, you’ve got the time to swerve, brake,
or accelerate out of the situation.
Anytime you ride a bike, you need to be prepared for the worst. Try to make your-
self more visible so you are seen and so the risks of a crash are significantly re-
duced. Use common sense and take defensive riding classes. Don’t believe all the
myths that circulate about motorcycle safety. Instead, educate yourself and be pre-
pared for anything. Defensive riding techniques and knowing how to handle the
unexpected are important aspects of staying safe when on the road.
Yours Truly, Fred Corr-Gator alley Safety Director

The Million dollar question:
Will you go to heaven when you die? Have you lied, sto-
len, used God's name in vain, or lusted? It could be even
what we classify as a little white lie, or the theft could be
only a few minutes on the time clock at work. It doesn't
have to be a million dollars. If so, God sees you as a liar,
thief, blasphemer, and adulterer at heart and if you die in
your sins you will go to hell. But the good news is that
even though we broke God's law, Jesus paid our debt by
dying on the cross. John 3:16. So please, today, repent
and trust in Jesus and God will grant you eternal life.

your Bible daily and obey it. Join a Christian church

Palm Beach – Made a motion that the Lobbyist needs to have more accountability. 2nd by Forest. Every State
meeting should have a report given to the delegation and Board. New President agreed. Question was brought
up about an Intern Lobbyist to learn the “Ropes”. Legal Counsel stated that it is not in the by-laws. Hills-
borough Chapter wanted to know how and when the Intern would be paid. Interns don’t get paid. Griz – Take
this Motion back to your Chapter and brainstorm a way to pay for the Lobbyist. Frenchie was recognized and
talked about how Doc leads the Corporation for 31 years as a Lobbyist. “Where were you during this time?” the
Lobbyist is a sub-contractor. He told you each year what was happening with Bills and people that we were
working with to get the Bills passed. It is not the responsibility of the Lobbyist to detail his day but to get the
work done. You never ask Jerry T what he did to fight for ABATE during any of our cases. Gris has 3 months
to sit down with Doc and discuss the position with him to see if he even wants it. “When you ask a question of
someone, be smart about it.” If you have questions about the legislative work, you have Darrin on the Board who
will answer your questions. Remember that the Lobbyist is a 1099. Johnny Rose – talked about professional
lobbyist don’t give personal and daily details. SW – “Don’t confuse accountability with Results.”
Good to the Order: Forest – This was the worst election ever. Griz is now the President, let’s move forward.
Polk – We need a new plan. We need a goal. Safety Programs are the best way to fight legally. Laurie – talked
about the ride that SW has for Veterans. Her daughter would like to make lap blankets to hand out but could use
some donations to help cover the cost. Some donated for the event.
Griz made a motion to adjourn; Treasure Coast 2nd it. (5pm)
