Wow! Fall is back and it’s beautiful riding time in Lee and Collier County. Ride before all the season traffic
arrives. Get out there and enjoy your right to ride as you like. That is before the “No Helmet” right is taken
away. What’s that you say? It can’t happen! We took care of this in 2000!! It’s possible. Our new State Legis-
lators are not all standing with ABATE of FLORIDA, Inc., on continuing this privilege and right. It is already
on some peoples agenda to make sure you wear a helmet. If this infuriates you, be prepared to make phone
calls, send out letters, or emails to let these people know how you feel and what action you want them to take as
a representative of your area. Remember, they work for you.
We had a good meeting on Sunday. We got to hear the views of Tamara Paquette and the Democratic Party on
the Amendments coming up on our ballots and her views on Fracking, Big Business in Golden Gate Estates, and
the right to carry. Remember she is running for Commissioner for District 5 here in Collier County against Bill
McDaniel. Voting time has started in Collier. It’s time to do your duty and put people in place that will repre-
sent you and your values. Don’t let the lie of “My vote won’t count anyway” be an excuse. Some have asked
me on how to vote for Judges and others that we aren’t familiar with. I have an answer, VoteSmart.org. This is
a bi-partisan info page on all candidates. Plus, I also got Pros and Cons on Amendments from the James Madi-
son Institute online. Use all resources you can to get the info you need.
A HUGE thank you to all that attended the Biker Bash in Peace River Campgrounds. This was a joint effort to
raise money for State. Some funds were made but many more is needed.
Please put on your calendar the Memorial Run (Oct 30th), the Run and Gobble (Nov 13th), the Heritage Run
(Dec 4th) and the Swamp to the City Run (Jan 8t). Now is the time to ride.
Unfortunately, the Swamp Buggy races were cancelled in Nov. A big financial hit to us, let’s make it up in Jan-
uary. We will need all the volunteers we can get.
Our lovely Cari must step down as Treasurer due to work conflicts. We need to fill her spot right away. Please
step up if you can as Treasurer. We would like to vote on it at the Nov Meeting.
Another bit of info from State. We are encouraged to attend meetings and functions of other chapters. Even
become secondary members. But you are only allowed to vote in your main chapter. And they ask that you stay
out of the decision making of that secondary chapter.
In my business, my busiest time is now preparing for all the seasonal guest arrival. Plus, making time for the
holidays with my family. If you are as busy, please put on your calendar Gator Alley events to attend. You need
a break from all the chaos and confusion as I do. Plus you can’t beat the weather!
See you out there. Be safe and ride safe,

Lynn Corr
President of Gator Alley
ABATE of FLORIDA, Inc.

Hey Margo, we had a great time at the birthday party, not so much for people at the meeting the next day. Deb
and I went to the Hog meeting to talk about the Memorial Tribute and other upcoming events. I heard they
were talking about it after the meeting – great to get out and mingle with other members of the motorcycle
community. The newsletter will be out after the Memorial Run, chaired by Dave Lindsay and Rusty Crans. We
are looking forward to being with our brothers and sisters to remember those no longer with us. Can you be-
lieve the Swamp Buggy Races are canceled due to too much water? Hmmm . . . Rusty, Trudi, and I planned a
great ride for the Run and Gobble on November 13th , kick stands up at 10 am at the VFW. Donations of non-
perishable food items will be accepted to fill their pantry shelves. Also, donations can be dropped off at the
VFW the day of the ride or dropped off at Everglades Motorcycle Service at 3888 Mannix Dr. before the ride.
Thanks to Roger for chairing the Heritage event, Sunday 12/04/16 at 10:45am at 777 9th Street North, Naples.
I’m looking forward to sitting on Santa’s lap (watch out Rick Loy!)! Gator Alley is hosting the state meeting

Dec 10th from noon to 6 pm. Food items and volunteers will be needed. Call Frizz 239-200-6360 or

Trudi 239-218-5582 for info on what is needed. Swamp to the City is again being chaired by Laura Jo on Janu-
ary 8th. Thank you to Joe Belanger for talking about Bikes for Tykes at our October meeting, and Tammy
Paquette who is running for Collier County Board of Commissioners District 5 against Bill McDaniel.
GET OUT THERE AND VOTE—LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!
http://www.abateflorida.com/mission_statement.php, don’t forget
Scott out..

In an effort to reduce our newsletter costs, we are changing the delivery method. Beginning with
the January issue, newsletters will no longer be

automatically mailed to our members. IF YOU WANT A MAILED COPY, you MUST let us
know.

Email Trudi at [email protected] to let her know you wish to continue receiving
a printed copy by mail.

If we do not hear from you, you will NOT receive a mailed copy. The Gator Bate newsletter will
be available on-line at www.gatoralley.abateflorida.com and will also be posted on our Facebook

page. Printed copies may also be available at our monthly chapter meetings.
Thank you for your help in trying to keep our printing costs to a minimum.

Please keep her and Fly in your prayers as they brave through this very
difficult time of healing and recovery.
To the Golden Gate Moose Members, A Sympathy card for the passing of
their beloved Silas Crain. He was a Vietnam vet and a service was held at
our VFW to honor his service and bid him a fond farewell. He was loved by
many and will be missed.
Tommy Byers, a Get Well card for his latest health concern that was mis-
taken for pneumonia, but turned out to be a very bad virus. He is at home
recovering and we will send prayers and healing thoughts for a full recov-
ery. Love ya, Tommy!
Special Mention:
Doug White didn't want word out until he knew he was out of the woods so
here it is: The cancer spot they found on his back has been taken care of,
and he got a clean bill of health from his doctors. Great news to hear at
the birthday party, Doug! Be well and Stay Well, dear friend!
Congratulations to Norm and Tammie Hansen for their wedding in NY in
September, and we look forward to celebrating their Florida reception this
month. May their new adventures as husband and wife begin!

SUNSHINE REPORT — October

Paul Evans, a Get Well card for his double hernia surgery. He is in good hands with Dorothy Nightingale
and Hannah "Hot Lips" Houlihan by his side. Hopefully this will be the start of better health days for our
favorite Pastor Partway and a solid recovery is just what the doctor ordered.
Tom Hoffman, a Congratulations card for his Retirement from his firefighting career and administrative
duties. Our favorite Crowd Control Instructor will have much more time for himself, riding, and a life of lei-
sure if he so chooses. Enjoy your new adventure, Mr. Tom!
SPECIAL MENTION:
Prayers needed for Kelly Crans' mom who is dealing with lengthy health issues out in Arizona. Please
keep her in your prayers.
Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of Eli Sterling, long time supporter of ABATE and MASH
BASH attendee.

most of all, the people who make Gator Alley great, old members and new.
As always, there are a list of people who need to be recognized and shown extra
special thanks so here goes....

Despite the change in venue for the party and meeting, we made it an "Affair to
Remember." I thank you for letting me chair this wonderful event. However, if any-
one wants to take it upon themselves for next year, I will gladly hand over the reins.
God Bless this big bag of mixed nuts that we are proud to call Family. We come to-
gether for the protection of and belief in our freedoms, and may we all see and be a
part of the change and victory we fight for. (yes, I ended a sentence in a preposi-
tion.)

NOVEMBER 8, 2016

This date, Nov. 8, 2016 could be one of the most important days in United States history. As most of you realize, this
is election day for the next president of the United States. Our ancestors came to this country to escape the oppres-
sion of English rulers and for religious freedom. We had to overcome taxation and invasion of the British Army, but
our forefathers were successful in gaining their independence. They wrote our Constitution based on Godly princi-
ples and then gradually added amendments as necessary. "Before any man can be considered as a member of a
civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe." James Madison

Did you know, in the 2008 and 2012 elections only about one half of the Christians in the United States voted? Per-
haps that is the reason we have so much turmoil in our country and the country's debt has doubled in the last 8
years. The people we have put in office care nothing about God and how He wants us to live. This election is doubly
important because the next president will not only be the leader of the United States for four or eight years, but
could also appoint 3 or 4 judges to the Supreme Court. As most of you are aware, one half of the judges now seated
are very liberal and have no regard for God's Laws. They, along with the current administration, think there is
nothing wrong with killing babies, homosexual marriage, or even male sexual predators using the same rest room
as your young daughters. Do you want more people with these views sitting on our highest court?

Our current president and the democrat that hopes to follow him are both readers of Saul Alinsky who passed away
6/12/1972. He was a Socialist that wrote "Rules for Radicals", a book outlining what is needed for a Socialist State.
These eight rules are currently in play in the U.S. by democratic leaders. First is the control of healthcare,
(Obamacare) where the government can control what healthcare you can receive. Second is increasing poverty as
the poor can be more easily controlled. Third is increasing the debt to an un-stainable level which the current presi-
dent has done. This will cause an increase in taxes and even more poverty. Fourth is gun control, a second amend-
ment right, so the people have no defense against their crooked government and can easily be defeated. Fifth is
welfare, where the government is taking control of the lives of people by providing their food, housing, income, and
even free phones. Education is number six. Control what people read and listen to and even what children are
taught in school, (Islam instead of Christianity). Seventh is removal of the belief in God from schools and govern-
ment. Lastly is the instigation of class warfare, which the current president won't criticize. Nothing is said about
people rioting in the cities and division between the rich and poor causes more discontent. This makes it easier to
tax the wealthy who have worked for their money.

Honesty was once a Hallmark of character, but now it seems you don't have to be honest as long as you don't get
caught, or have the FBI and attorney general on your side. (11/8/16) Pray about it, then decide.

Jerry Mason, Chaplain

Hello all! When placing yard signs at your residence, be certain that the sign does not infringe on County easement. Several times we
received reports of various signs, yes ours, disappeared from lawns. Please be mindfully as supplies are limited.
Next, CPR-first aid class and crowd control class are tentatively scheduled for December, more detail later. Crowd control cards will be
distributed when I receive them
Always remember when everyone is thinking the same,no one is really thinking...general patton...
Be safe,good luck....Riff Raff

Chapter Minutes - September

WELCOME – PLEDGE – MOMENT OF SILENCE Called to order 11:00 am., September 25, 2016 VFW
PRESIDENT - LYNN CORR –Five Star meeting will be today after this meeting if you are interested please stay. We have tickets for the
State Meeting in Arcadia and please get them asap, as we must turn them in very soon. The Memorial flier was approved without insurance,
because it is at a State Park; you cannot insure a State Park, we are going straight to the park. We are not actually having a run. If someone
shows up at the location where we usually meet when we did it as a run, there will be someone there to advise them they can go the memorial
themselves if they like. Also on the Run and Gobble, we have an advertiser (Havana Cafe) that is paying for our insurance, she is also a new
member. She is in Chokoloskee, if you see her, please thank her. If anybody can come up with a sponsor for a run, we need one for Swamp
to the City and Casino Run. We can advertise them greatly and encourage people to go to their places of business. Insurance cost now is
crazy, $299 to $399, we have to make a lot of money to cover the runs. The Quartermaster is the only one who has turned in inventory.
Safety and Products have theirs, they just haven’t turned them in as yet. They are due at the next Board Meeting. Lynn advised also that

there will be no December meeting as the date falls on Christmas. But we will have the Board Meeting in December everyone is wel-

come to come.
VICE PRESIDENT - SCOTT PIGNATIELLO - Everyone had fun last night at the Birthday Party. October 30 we’ve got the Memorial
Event. At the end of the event anyone who likes can go to the new sponsor just to say, “hello”. November 13th we’ve got the Run and Gob-
ble, $10 per hand, starting at the VFW. Let’s really push for collecting of food for the St. Mathews House on this run. December 4th, we have
the Heritage House. December 10th we have the State Meeting, see Frizz and Trudi to volunteer to help at the meeting. January 8th, is
Swamp to the City, Laura Jo is planning that.
SECRETARY - SCARLETT LEEPER - I want to entertain a motion to pass the minutes as they were printed in the newsletter. Frizz
made the motion, 2nd by Bill, motion passed.
TREASURERS REPORT – CARY LAMONTAGNE – Read the balances to the members and advised all is balanced and accounted for.
She has tickets for the drawing for the guns if anyone would like to take some to sell for the December drawing. Also tickets for the State
Meeting in Arcadia, get them now. They must be handed in today. All donations are in for the state meeting except for 3 people.
SARGENT AT ARMS – SCOTT HUGHES – Thanks to Brad for helping out at the party last night. I had to work late. I have to work
October 7th so I will not be able to be at that State Meeting. Volunteers can sign up with Markus when they get to the campgrounds. Rusty,
Trudi and Riff Raff, we need your inventories. Thanks.
LEGISLATIVE – LYNN CORR – I am sure a lot of you know Matt Hudson lost, but I have spoken to Kathleen Passidomo to make sure
she doesn’t forget us. Other winners that are motorcycle friendly, were Bob Rommel, Burt Saunders and Byron Donalds. Donalds advised
that he will be coming to some of our meetings. Chuck McMann is up against Henning in the next polls, he is not a member but he does do-
nate to Gator Alley. Chuck is running for Fire Commissioner and is on the Swamp Buggy Board. Bill McDaniel still running against Tamera,
who is coming to speak to us in Oct. As soon as we get the list of all winners we want everyone to send them a congratulations post card. We
will have them printed up for you. Remember to congratulate them if you see them in person and remind them you are ABATE, Gator Alley.
I do not have any speakers today since we are not at our regular location. Next month I do have Tamara Parquette, she is running against Bill
McDaniel in District 5 for County Commissioner and I have talked with Chuck McMann who is running for the Greater Naples, Golden Gate
Fire Department, he is running against Tom Henning. Those are the last two I have coming in. I would like for Darren to speak about the
Michigan Legislator and also about the AMA information you sent out. Our sessions of the House and the Senate are going to meet in No-
vember to organize the committees but they will start their committee meetings, December 5 to 9 for the House and December 12 to 16 for
Senate, then together in January. The official start is for Legislative meetings is March 7th, and we are going to Tallahassee April 9th and 10th.
The KOA there has been sold, check their website for information and comments. There are two hotels at the exit for Monticello you can
stay. Darren, advised a State Legislator in Michigan was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was very key in passing the no helmet law in
that state. News reports from CNN did not mention that he was wearing his helmet and that the accident was caused by a car making an ille-
gal right of way turn in front of him. They made a big deal of him being the one to get the no helmet law passed in Michigan. AMA reminds
all to vote for motorcycle friendly people running for office in your state.
DELEGATES – FRED CORR/DAVE LINDSEY – Fred advised the most important thing he had to talk about was the upcoming State
Party at Peace River Campground in Arcadia. They do need volunteers, but please come even if you can’t volunteer. There are some nice
hotels around there and he and Lynn are staying the weekend there. They have good camping. The meeting is on Sunday in Arcadia at the
Woman’s club, at 2288 American Legion Drive, board meeting at noon Saturday, Delegates meet at 2 pm.
MEMBERSHIP – TRUDI STEEL – We have 317 members and renewed 6 people last night and 2 new members. Passed out anniversary
pins. One new life card. See her report for names.
NEWSLETTER/WEBMASTER – DEB PIGNATIELLO – First of all I want to apologize, the newsletter was about a week late, the print-
er got hacked and had some major computer problems. Changing the deadline, would like everything to be in by the 15th of the month prior to
publication. I would like have a New Member Spotlight in the newsletter so we can get to know our members better. We need advertisers,
we all go somewhere every day that could be a potential advertiser. Please take a form with you and try and get new ads.

16

Chapter Minutes - September

How many people have looked at our website? I have posted a list of motorcycle friendly people running for office. Look at who did and
did not win. We need to support our motorcycle friendly candidates. State website already has the December Fliers posted, so we need to
get ours out asap and even January's. It has come to my attention that if you search for Gator Alley on Google our old website is coming up.
Please try another search engine, or you can go to the State Website and look for our link to get to it.
SAFETY – WILL “RIFF RAFF” BREEN - I do have a meager amount of safety supplies left. Sorry I missed the Birthday Party I had to
work. Any questions anyone need anything just let me know. Last Sunday CPR classes and Crowd Control at the Golden Gate City Fire-
house were well attended. Anyone that missed these I will plan other classes in 45 days depending on participation. Please get with me if
you are interested in either class, both are good for 3 years. Frizz advised that Crowd Control is good State wide.
PR COMMUNICATIONS/ADVERTISING/SPECIAL EVENTS – We have some renewals; Havana Cafe is a new advertiser. Sneaky

Pete's renewed and Naples Motorcycle Riding School is back. I will once again be chained to a desk with my new job so we need an
advertising executive, and everyone can help recruit advertisers. If anyone needs a contract, I have some with me today. We have

been in touch with Sawgrass and Sandbar. The next deadline for ads will be October 15, so please get any new ads for the newsletter to Deb
by that date. We need to push the Run and Gobble.
QUARTERMASTER – ROGER JANES – Everything is good. Thank you Hippy for your help.
PRODUCTS – RUSTY CRANS - No products today, George advised that product are getting slim, but they are working on some new
products.
SUNSHINE REPORT – MARGO PEDIGO – Nice short list. Doug White had a cancer removed and it is all gone. Just got word that
Mary Jo, Fly’s wife is up in Jacksonville getting cancer treatment. Please keep them in your prayers. An on a good note, we want to say
Congratulation to Norm and Tammy for getting married. I would like to recognize Russ, thanks for coming. At the Birthday Party last
night, we had 8 Presidents.
OLD BUSINESS: State Par ty is in 2 weeks; we need volunteer s to help with the bar tending. This star ts Fr iday and ends Satur day
late. Anyone who wishes to donate a bottle for mixed drinks. State Meeting in December, flier has been sent so everyone knows when and
where we just have to decide on food. We would like to do something different than BBQ any suggestions are welcome. Please come to
the next Board meeting so we can discuss this more. Fred asked Dave to tell about his experience bar tending last year at the State Party.
Dave said the tips were great and all is given back to ABATE. Frizz advised that is doesn’t matter how ugly you are they are gonna tip you.
He knows from experience, he said. Lynn asked anyone going to the State Meeting to raise their hand and advised anyone with a liquor do-
nation that needed to be taken to the meeting contact one of these people and they will take it for you if you can’t go. Call someone on the
board. One more comment on Run and Gobble, we need to collect food for St. Mathews House. VP Scott advised we still need volunteers
for some of the stops. Contact him if you can work a stop. Memorial Event reminder 30th of October.
NEW BUSINESS: Roger : Her itage House, the flier has been submitted, waiting for appr oval. Talked with them and they have given
us a couple of ideas on what they are looking for as gifts. Of course always bring socks for the residents and Christmas related trinkets,
necklaces that flash, etc. Check with the dollar stores. We are going to meet at the Heritage House. Rick Loy has agreed to be our Santa

worst voice for our singing. Laura Jo, Swamp to the City. We are starting at Oil Well Park on CR29 same as last year. It will be a scaven-
ger hunt. There will be a blessing of the bikes. Lynn advised, something that we did not mention at the Board Meeting was Mash Bash. We
need people to step up and chair the Event. If it is a one-day event it will be the Gator Bash, Mash Bash would be weekend event.
GOOD OF THE ORDER: Rusty br ought this up at the Boar d Meeting, he met with Cr abby’s son. Crabby is in Illinois and his truck
is here. His son is going to try and take it up to him. It needs tires and we have recommended that he go talk to Joe at Regal Tire to get some
used tires. Rusty would like to pass the hat to help his son with the cost of gas. Laura Jo, Swamp Buggy Races is November 5th and 6th, and
we need volunteers for the gate. We will have a Gator Alley table set up and Tommy Byers has agreed to man it. Bikers for Babies is that

Chapter Minutes - October

WELCOME – PLEDGE – MOMENT OF SILENCE Called to order 11:00 am October 23, 2016; VFW

PRESIDENT - LYNN CORR - We had our State Party two weeks ago and of cour se it was dur ing the hur ricane, but all and
all it turned out to be a beautiful day. I want to think every ABATE member that was there. Swamp Buggy Races are canceled for
this November, so we have lost those funds. Deb we need to hold the newsletter until the 31st of October, the Run and Gobble Flyer
has to be changed. All funds collected on this run will go to help those in need so they might have a better Thanksgiving dinner or
Christmas dinner. We are collecting nonperishable foods for St. Mathews House to be delivered during the Run and Gobble.

VICE PRESIDENT - SCOTT PIGNATIELLO - Good morning everyone, we had a good time yesterday at Everglades Motorcy-
cles, Human Society Event. October 30 we have the Memorial Event coming up chaired by Rusty and Dave. They will tell us more
about that a little bit later. Remember Nov. 13th we have the Run and Gobble chaired by Rusty and Trudi. December 4th we have the
Heritage House chaired by Roger, December 10th we’ve got the State Meeting chaired by Frizz and Trudi, also January 8th we’ve got
Swamp to the City chaired by LauraJo. If anyone is interested, we have the bike Tony Nager’s family donated to us, outside if anyone
would like to look at it. Thank you very much.
Lynn added, “If you listen to him there, seems like the same people are doing the runs. There is a problem there we need to have dif-
ferent people doing different things so not everybody is doing all the work.” (Scott) Yeah, if we have any new members step up, we
always have somebody that has done the run that can help you, or chair with you.

SECRETARY - SCARLETT LEEPER - Everything is recorded.

TREASURERS REPORT – CARI LAMONTAGNE – Loss of Swamp Buggy income will hurt, be we are in the black. I want to
remind you we still have tickets for the drawing for the guns. Please come up and get some to sell for us. We have two guns, the Hen-
ry 30-30 and the 12 gauge Over and Under Shot gun. If you are interested in how the State is doing I have the balance sheets here,
you are welcome to take a look at them. Also, unfortunately folks, as most of you know, I received a job offer from Wells Fargo, and
I found out after my hire that I cannot be a signer on any accounts, so I do have to resign as Treasurer. I was given permission from
my compliance department I can stay till the end of the year. But going forward I cannot sign any checks. We have to have a vote
and elect a new treasurer. This program probably takes me an hour, hour and a half each month to do the reports. It doesn’t take long,
it is almost full proof, it automatically corrects you, so if you can add, you can subtract, you can be treasurer. And I will be happy to
teach you the ropes. Lynn, do you want to add anything to that. (Lynn) So anybody here today interested in taking over the position
of treasurer, please raise your hand. If you have someone in mind, please have them contact the e-board. We need to have a vote in
November so get names in by the next board meeting, Nov. 13th.

SARGENT AT ARMS – SCOTT HUGHES – December 10th at the State Meeting I am going to need at least 4 people to volunteer
for Security. I will have the signup sheet at the November meeting. That is December 10th, Saturday from noon until 6:00 pm. We
might even get a meal provided by Gator Alley so that is an incentive to volunteer. I am leaving Sat. to go to Ohio, so I will miss the
Memorial Event. I am going to get in contact with Brad to step up to assist.

LEGISLATIVE – LYNN CORR – Usually, Legislative is next but we are waiting for our speaker so I am going to push it back.

DELEGATES – FRED CORR/DAVE LINDSAY – At the State Meeting they ask we remind everyone that ABATE is about the
Cause, and the cause is about your rights as motorcyclist in the State of Florida. 2016 State took a serious, serious beating as ABATE
of Florida Inc., a major Lawsuit against us that we lost. We also lost a lot of biker friendly people in the State Capitol with the elec-
tions. There are now a lot of not so biker friendly sitting in the State Capitol. We need to start calling our senators and representors or
write them and let them know you support ABATE and would like their support as well. They encouraged all to support our fellow
Chapters. Please read the Delegates report for all details.

LEGISLATIVE – LYNN CORR – Ms. Paquette is here to speak with us on her views for District 5. But I would like to say, I
found a website called votesmart.org, you can pull up this website and see how the different Judges voted on the various issues in the
past and this will help you make an informed decision on whom to vote for. Please take advantage of this site. Do your research, be-
fore you vote. Remind any of the winners of these elections, who you are and congratulation them on their win. Let me introduce to
you now Tamara Paquette who is running for Commissioner of District 5.

MEMBERSHIP – TRUDI STEEL – We have 316 members, we have one new member Dan, (applause). See Membership report for
pin recipients and years as members. Be sure and let membership know by the end of December if you want your newsletter mailed
or if you wish to get it on line. If you do not tell membership, you will be put on the e-mail list and will no longer get a hard copy of
the newsletter.
Lynn, reminded everyone that December meeting falls on Christmas. There will only be a Board Meeting in December on the 15th,
everyone is invited it starts at 7:00pm at the VFW. No December meeting.

Chapter Minutes - October

NEWSLETTER – DEB PIGNATIELLO – We have some new advertiser, but please keep recruiting more. We would like to start
a member services list for $10 dollars a year, if you have a business; we can put your business name and phone number on this list.
This will start in January 2017. Website, Flyers are up, and we have put a list of motorcycle friendly candidates. There is a link to
our Facebook page on the website.
SAFETY – WILL “RIFF RAFF” BREEN - Hey ever ybody, I did br ing some fun stuff, some bummer sticker s and see thr u
stickers for your car windows and kickstand rest if anyone is interested. Handed out CPR Cards to the ones who took that class a
while ago, Crowd control cards will be in soon. Going to try and do more classes in December anyone interested contact me. Vice
President requested that Will share the crowd control list with Brad and Scott. Will have an article ready for Newsletter by Monday.
PR COMMUNICATIONS/ADVERTISING/SPECIAL EVENTS – Cari, advised she will not be able to do this position anymore.
Lynn asked if anyone has seen the magazine Born to Ride, she picked up a copy in Arcadia. Cari advised that Deb got her hair stylist
to sign on as an advertiser. Sawgrass Grill has renewed and if you show your ABATE card you get 10% discount. Havana Café, and
Naples Motorcycle School. Since we lost Swamp Buggy income we need new ads to help with our income.
QUARTERMASTER – ROGER JANES – All is quartered and mastered.
PRODUCTS – RUSTY CRANS - Got ongoing sales, come see me after the meeting. For State Pr oducts, go to the website
and look at what they have, then call Rusty and let him know if you need anything. He will order state products for you. I will have
at the next meeting a hard copy of what we have for sale and a small table TV playing photos of what we have for sale.
SUNSHINE REPORT – MARGO PEDIGO – See her report for all sunshine information. We received a Thank you card from the
Golden Gate Moose Lodge for Silas. Doug White thanked everyone for his get well card.
OLD BUSINESS – State Party, was a small turn out because of the hurricane. State Meeting, December 10th. I think Jude is going to

cook, but what we do need is people to bring salads or deserts and rolls. We will have a signup sheet for the food at the
next meeting.

Cadillac asked where to drop off food for Run and Gobble. Riff Raff spoken and advised that Everglades Motorcycle is going to put a
box in their shop to collect and donation maybe dropped off there. Run and Gobble starts at VFW and ends at Havana Café in Choko-
loskee. November 13th, kickstands up at 10 am.
Memorial Event is at Everglades National Park in Everglades City at 11 am. Havana Café has offered a special meal for anyone who
wishes to visit them after the event.
Heritage House Event is at 777 9th St. North, starts at 10:45 ends at noon, Sunday the 4th, decorate your bike, they will be judged by
the residents and prizes will be given. Our new Santa is Rick Loy. Wiley gave Roger his Santa suit months ago and he is going to get
it dry cleaned.
Swamp to City can no longer end at Parrot, so we are looking at a new location for that, new flyer coming soon.
NEW BUSINESS - Looking for Chairper sons for Casino Run and Mash Bash if anyone wants to step up. ASAP. Casino is
in February and Mash Bash is in May. Dave Lindsay and Rambo volunteered for the Casino Run.
GOOD OF THE ORDER – Estero is having a Halloween party non-ABATE at the old San Carlos Country Club. Their Pilgrim’s
Pride Event is coming up look at their website for details and their Birthday Party is coming soon.
Joe Belanger from Bikes for Tykes spoke and advised about their event. They are putting bikes together at the end of Cope Lane off
County Barn Road, all the way to the end, just look for the bikes. They take any bikes but need more small bikes.
Frizz made a motion to give $100 to Bikes for Tykes, Riff Raff seconded it. It was passed unanimously.
Fred Corr reminded everyone to take a look at Tony Nager’s bike.
50/50 won by Dave Linsey and donated back to chapter.
Cadillac advised that the tourist are back and please pay attention when riding on the overcrowded roads. He had every one repeat
“Most motorcycle accidents happen at an intersection involving another vehicle that turns left in front of us.”
Motion to Adjourn: by Riff Raff seconded by Tammie Hansen. 12:50 pm

Man of the Year
"I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these

things to other people, and I require the same from them."
~John Wayne (as John Bernard Books from "The Shootist")
When this person came into our corner, he proved from day one he belonged
there. He is a team player, has a genuine soul, and a great big gigantic heart. Those
qualities have persevered and even been tested, but through it all, he has shown
loyalty and heartfelt dedication to this organization, but more importantly, the people
in it. He has been able to combine two worlds of philosophies that seem to go down
the same road of brotherhood that means the same thing in the end. Treat me right,
and I'll do the same. This recognition has been a long time coming and I know you'll
all agree that this dedicated cowboy deserves it. Your 2015-2016 Man of the Year,

Roger Janes.
Woman of the Year
Definition of Carpe Diem:
The urging of someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought

to the future.
Our female honoree tonight has been one of the biggest examples of getting things
done for the duration of her longtime membership. Her “in the moment” focus has
always yielded great success and a job well done. Her multi-tasking ability to bring
the right people together to answer the questions, cut through the crap, and solve
problems has always given wings to the next accomplishment. She has, and always
will be, a Doer. Her hats are many, her gifts are great, and thank Baby Jesus that
she still puts up with all of us. The future is bright for all in her light. Many call her

Mimi, and nothing in this group would happen without her. Your 2015 – 2016
Woman of the Year,
Lynn Corr.
