The little girl who lost her dog

By: Sydney Kays

There once was a girl named
Jessica. She was playing outside
on a beautiful Saturday
afternoon with her dog.

She had been outside for
about an hour. Then her
mom opened the door and
yelled “ Are you ready for a
drink?” Jessica answered
“Yes.”

Right as
Jessica was
walking
inside she
heard her
dog barking.
Although
she thought
that the dog
was just
barking at
the
neighbors
dog.

She was wrong. When
she walked back
outside her dog was no
where to be found.

Jessica ran back inside yelling at
her mom saying “ The dog ran
away!” Her mom said “ It will be
ok, we will find her.”

They both had spent days
going from house to house
asking people if they had
seen a dog. Everyone
responded with “No I am
sorry, I hope you find your
dog.”

The both of them had no luck in finding
her dog those couple of days. Her
mother then came up with an idea.

She said “Maybe I can print out flyers
that say missing dog on them. Return
dog to 356 South Newton St.”

The little girl and her mother spent their whole
day hanging up flyers all around town. Her
mom said “ You never know what we can find,
maybe someone will bring us your dog back.”

A couple of days passed and there was no
sign of her dog coming back.

She
thought to
herself one
night in her
bed. She
was
thinking if I
go out
maybe one
more time
yelling for
her name
then she
will come
to me.

It was about 12 O’clock right after she finished her
lunch. Jessica went out and was trying to find her dog.
She said “ This is the last time I am coming out yelling
for you, and I will find you this time.”

That day Jessica spent from 12:00 P.M. to
around 5:30 P.M. looking everywhere for her
dog.

Jessica had this feeling that she was going to
find her before she went home for dinner.

Right as she was
heading home she
heard a bark coming
from behind her. She
turned around right
away, and ran towards
the dog.

As you could guess it was her dog.
Jessica ran home and screamed “ Look
at what I found!”

Her mom said “ Look what did I tell you?” “ I
knew you were going to end up finding her!”

Jessica's mom said “ Now every time
you go outside with her you have to
tie her up so this doesn’t happen
again.”

The End
