Being a Muslim it is our responsibility that we will try to achieve the highest degree of ‫ ﺗﻘﻮ ٰی‬in ourselves which may be
displayed in our actions, attitudes, thoughts and in every walk of life individually and collectively. We will instil love
for Allah, fear of Allah, obedience to Allah only and seek His pleasure. Therefore we abstain every kind of evils and

Rasoolullah‫ ﷺ‬carried out the moral revolution and his Seerah is still a guiding-light for us. Even today the Muslim
Ummah can revive its acme by following the Seerat e Tayyaba.

Iqamat e Deen is the prime responsibility of Muslim Ummah. This task cannot be achieved without enjoining what is
good and forbidding what is evil. We will achieve this goal by fostering sincerity, courage, determination, straight
forwardness and required capability.

Protection of
Ideology of Pakistan

Pakistan was founded on the basis of Islamic ideology. Therefore, Muslim Ummah envisions Pakistan as Fort of Islam. We
will practically work according to the constitution of Pakistan to establish the Islamic society in Pakistan.

ADMISSION PROCESS

For Pre Nursery and Nursery classes:

The children are assessed followed by an interview of both parents.

For KG, class I and class II:

Reading, writing and oral skills of English, Urdu and Math are assessed.

For classes III to VII (including O’level classes VI and VII):

Students are assessed using three different question papers of English, Urdu and Math. followed by an interview of
parents.

For classes VIII and IX (including O’level classes VIII and IX):

Students solve four different question papers of English, Urdu, Math and science for admission in these classes. followed
by an interview of parents.

For intermediate classes:

Students solve separate question papers of English, Urdu, physics, chemistry and Math/Biology. Interview of parents is
held after this test. followed by an interview of parents.

OUR SPECIALITY IN ACADEMICS

Islamic Integration in Curriculum:

We believe that Allah (SWT) is the source of knowledge and all the streams of knowledge guide us to oneness of
Allah (SWT). All the subjects taught in school are linked with Islamic concepts. In this way we develop moral values
among the children.

Learning Strategies:

A variety of teaching strategies are used to develop effective learning skills in students of all the classes, such as,
cooperative learning, task-based learning, discovery method, enquiry approach, etc. Oral presentations,
higher-order questioning techniques (based on the Bloom’s Taxonomy) are also regular features of the teaching
process.

Coordination System:

Academic coordination is pivotal to our educational system. Being mentors and counselors, coordinators ensure:

Co-Curricular Activities:

The School is developing the holistic personality of the students. We schedule Students Week, Excursions Trips,
Book Fairs, Writing Competitions, Spelling Bee Competition, Language Fairs, Science Fairs and Debates etc.

Lesson Planning:

The teachers of UPSS are qualified, dedicated, and professionals. They focus on the complete well being of the students,
working for their personality development as well as enhancing their academic skills. All our teachers professionally plan
their lessons priorly incorporating the latest educational techniques for developing the desired attitudes and skills in the
learners. All the lesson planning fulfils the objectives of the system.

House System:

The Objectives of house system are to:
develop leadership qualities.
prepare them to work in a group.
approach of aggregative efforts rather than individual.
a culture of positive thinking.

Rules and Regulations Booklet:

Every student is expected to follow the rules and regulations mentioned in the booklet. Disciplinary action including
expulsion from the school will be taken if not following the rules.
Students must enter the school premises in proper uniform.

Parent-Teacher Meetings: ( PTM )

PTM is a very effective and important way of communication between the parents and the teachers. They are scheduled
at least twice a year to review the progress of the students. Special orientations are also held for the parents at different
times during the course of the year which make them aware of the different methods and techniques used in
Usman Public School System.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM

Pre-Primary Section

Pre-Nursery, Nursery and KG is an activity based learning system. There is an assessment system where the students
are promoted to the next level.

Primary Section

Class-I to II, there is an assessment system where the students are promoted to the next level after acquiring
satisfactory level.
Class-III to V, students appear in regular examination of English, Urdu & Math. Rest of the subjects are assessed on
monthly basis.

Lower Secondary Section

Class VI-VIII, Mid and Final Term exams are conducted of all subjects. Two monthly tests are taken in each term.

Secondary Section

Class IX- X, Mid Term and Preliminary examinations are carried out on Matric Board exam pattern.

Higher Secondary

Class XI- XII, Mid Term and Preliminary examinations are carried out on Intermediate Board examination pattern.
Regular tests are conducted throughout the year.

O-Level

Class IX,X,XI, Mid Term and Mock examinations are carried out on CAIE examination pattern. Regular tests are
conducted throughout the year.

FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS

Libraries

Libraries have a wide collection of books for students and teachers. Each library is continuously replenished with
the latest books to ensure the environment of a reading culture. Students are benefited with the monthly
magazines.

Audio-Visual and Internet Facilities in Classroom Teaching

Students having multiple intelligences are dealt using multimedia, real objects, flash cards and different soft
board materials. A proper multimedia room is available in most of our campuses.

Well Equipped Science Laboratories

The science laboratories are equipped with all the necessary materials for the different systems: Matriculation,
Intermediate and GCE ‘O’ level examination. The O level Campuses offer these facilities according to the standard
recommended in the Cambridge guide. Subject wise laboratories are setup for the Intermediate students.

Well Equipped Computer Labs

The computer labs are equipped with LCD screens and audio-visual facilities of multi-media. Students perform
various practical assignments on computers under the supervision of qualified teachers.

Play Grounds

Play grounds and resource rooms for indoor and outdoor sports activities are available in different campuses, for
the physical and mental well-being of the students.

Additional subject of Arabic language

We have introduced Arabic as a language using different strategies for Class I & II where new booklets of vocabulary
are introduced. Language books are introduced in Class III and IV. We plan to take it upto Class VIII, where we expect
that our students will be expressing themselves in Arabic Language too.

Additional units for Quran Nazrah and Tajweed ( TPI )

We have introduced a new way of teaching Quran to Pre-Primary students till Class VIII. “Total Physical Interaction
Method” ( TPI ) has been introduced, learning Quran using signs and eye hand movement simultaneously. For this
purpose, we have trained teachers to apply this new method effectively. New colorful books are also introduced to
facilitate the students.

DEPARTMENT OF TARBIYAH

Well-built Tarbiyah system of Usman Public School System makes it pre-eminent among all. The sound and profound
combination of education and mentoring can make an individual a competent and contributing member of the
society. Mentoring is the sole purpose of education. We have great concern about good upbringing of our children.
We aim to provide an affectionate environment in all campuses, to enhance Islamic culture and values through rules
and regulations, dress code and soft board presentations.

TARBIYAH FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Tarbiyah lectures to enrich their basic knowledge of Islam.
Career counseling sessions.
Namaz diary for a regular check on prayers. Picnic, study tours, zero periods and assembly program play a key
role in students moral development.
Leadership camps for senior classes, to make them able to perform their leadership role in the society.
Tarbiyah Sessions for mothers.
Online sessions for parents.
Monthly Tarbiyah themes are planned every month.

TARBIYAH FOR TEACHERS

In order to ensure continuous improvement in social and ideological areas , Dars-e-Quran and Hadith Sessions are
held for the teachers. Yearly programs on special occasions like Seerat-un-Nabi‫ﷺ‬, Istaqbal-e-Ramadan and the
Eids are also arranged to achieve the same purpose. Our teachers study various Islamic books in groups.

CEED CENTRE FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE & DEVELOPMENT ( CEED )

In 2018, The Usman Public School System established a training department of “Center for Educational Excellence
& Development (CEED)”. The overarching goal of the CEED Department is to provide high quality, data driven,
research based professional development that is circular in nature in that every new learning experience provides
teachers the opportunity to return to the field, implement the new learning, and return again to reflect, analyze,
and revise in preparation for continued implementation. Collaborating and learning in their professional learning
communities, teachers are empowered to decide the best instruction for their students.
