MY CHOOSE FOR BICARA BUKU 2024
Story - JUNGLE BOOK Hello everyone, I’m Havisha Komathan from SJKT Teluk Merbau. I’m in Year 6 Seran. My hobby is reading. One of the book that fascinates me with its adventures storyline and colourful illustrations is the The Jungle Book. Yes, today I’m going to talk about the book and it’s author Mr. Rudyard Kipling. The Jungle Book’s first edition was in 1894 and published by Macmillan with embossed cover. The genre was children’s story and was illustrated by the authors father John Lockwood Kipling. The original version consist of 186 pages. Most of the characters are animals such as Shere Khan the tiger and Baloo the bear, though a principal character is the boy or "man-cub" Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by wolves. The story is set in a forest in India. A major theme in the book is abandonment followed by fostering, as in the life of Mowgli. Another important theme is law and freedom. The verses of "The Law of the Jungle", for example, lay down rules for the safety of individuals, families, and communities.
The Jungle Book' has inspired countless adaptations too . The first live-action film debuted in 1942, but the bestknown movie version up until now was the 1967 animated Disney tale. Disney took the original story and transformed it into a feel-good family musical. One of its songs, “The Bare Necessities,” was even nominated for an Academy Award. However, the Jungle Book in our schools for literature was retold by Carl Bowen and illustrated by Gerard Sandoval as graphic revolve in 2013. It consist of 72 pages which includes the cover. Now let’s move on to the author of world famous book. Joseph Rudyard Kipling, was born on December 30, 1865, in Bombay India. He was an English short-story writer, poet, and a novelist. Kipling was chiefly remembered for his celebration of British imperialism, his tales and poems of British soldiers in India, and his tales for children. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907.
