BEACH CLEANING YRC

Beach cleaning or clean-up is the process of removing solid litter or dense chemicals from
a beach or coastline. Humans pollute beaches with materials such as plastic bottles and
bags, plastic straws, fishing gear, cigarette filters, and many other items that cause
environmental degradation. The discarded items include flotsam, jetsam, oil spills,
detritus such as driftwood, seaweed or dead marine animals. Every year hundreds of
thousands of volunteers comb beaches and coastlines around the world for marine
pollution. These contaminants are called “marine debris” and the quantity of debris has
been increasing due to anthropocentric activities.

Students who are the members of YRC of KCCEMSR have done beach cleaning drive at
girgaum chowpatty. The event was guided by Mr. Bhavya Shah who is one of the heads of
Youth Red Cross and Mission Green Mumbai. The event was witnessed by a number of
school kids and was also featured on MTLive Channel on Youtube. All precautionary
measures were provided by YRC members to students.

September 15th is celebrated every year in India as
Engineer's Day to commemorate the birthday of the
legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya. He was a highly
disciplined engineer, known for his sincerity, time
management and unsurpassed devotion to a cause. He was
a civil engineer and his work involved everything from
building roadways, to dams and anti-flood systems.

In the world of cutting edge technology India is still a
developing country. India needs good engineers.
Engineering is one such profession that doesn't add any
title before one's names, unlike medical, law, etc. since
Engineers are all-rounders, they aren't constrained to just
one kind of job.

'LAST MINUTE' "
Engineering is not just about learning the subjects. An engineer is not good enough if
he/she can't apply their knowledge in real life. Basic concepts have basic applications.
For ex. Archimedes designed a pulley, this invention was invented more than 2000 years
ago and is still used in the modern era with exactly the same design.

Every engineer remembers their 4 years of hard work, teamwork and the fun they have in
those 4 years. In these 4 years students learn problem-solving techniques, no matter
what the problem is, they become technically strong, much more confident after every
project they do. If they don't have any problem they create them and then solve it.

Your electrical appliances are working fine at home? Thank an electrical engineer

You're reading this on a phone or a computer? Thank a software engineer.
A world without engineers cannot be imagined...

QUIT INDIA DAY

We will be commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Quit India Movement on
August 9.
It was the last mass agitation before India became Independent on August 15, 1947.

A day before, i.e. on August 14 India was divided and a new nation Pakistan came into
existence.

On August 8, at Mumbai's Gowalia Tank, Mahatma Gandhi gave a call for 'Do or Die' in
his speech.

On August 9, 1942, the Quit India Movement began which later triggered the British
leaving the country and India attaining independence.

Quit India day is observed every year on August 9 to mark the anniversary of the Quit
India movement.

The call for Quit India galvanized the people of the country. It was truly a turning point in
India's struggle for freedom.

This Movement remains significant because it was during this movement that the British
realized that they would not be able to govern India successfully in the long run and
began to think of ways they could exit the country in a peaceful and dignified manner.

One of the greatest achievements of the Quit India Movement was that it kept the
Congress Party united all through these challenging times.

The Quit India movement will continue to inspire Indians and the world. It has shown us
the strength of non-violence.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell at the campus is always exceptionally striving for
inculcating entrepreneurial values amongst the students at the campus. E-Cell team
members Anit Singh, Abhishek Ingale, Sahil Panindre, Harshal Gawali, Yatharta
Manocha this year bagged the first prize in Business Model Presentation competition
at Atharva College of Engineering for the project 'E-Poocha & Home Automation'.
Many new budding entrepreneurs enrolled themselves for joining the cell at the
campus.

Students from all branches and spheres of KCCOE showed their enthusiastic spirit by
participating in the Ganpati Decoration, which was organized by KC E-Cell. This was an
event, organized by passionate KC E-Cell members, which received a whopping
response from KCCOE students. The students came together and combined all their
creativity to decorate the location.

This year the Kc Ecell team for the first time organized RESPAWN a gaming event from
31st January to 2 February,2020. Students from various colleges and game-zones
showed their enthusiastic spirit by participating in the Gaming Event RESPAWN. This
event was a major hit that received a whopping response from the participants, as the
attendance marked was around 400. This was the crowd of gamers, hardcore game
developers, and also some of the college students. The event had Lokmat newspaper
as the media sponsor along with other sponsors like CDAC, BG Gamers, Gamers
Hideout, and MFC, etc.

The Ecell Members along with Prof. Yogesh Karunakar and Prof. Sayali visited Pimpri
Village on 6th March 2020, for the scifest a science project competition for the school
students at the village. The team was astonished to see amazing projects like robots ,
hydraulic JCB, Vehicle Management model, etc. Some students also focused on saving
Energy through water distillation, solar panels, etc. This highlighted the creativity
present in those rural students and the fact that how important it was to help those
students to achieve their dreams and help the nation as a whole. The team returned
back with amazing memories of interaction with creative minds in the rural village and
pledged to help in any way for the betterment of the students and were glad to be part
of such an incredible initiative by the Kc Excelssior Institute of helping in the
development of the village Pimpri.

second and now before 2020 I will come back with my
third single. Till now I have performed on various places
and stages. My third song is produced by a performer of
MTV HUSTLE and was selected for the HUSTLE Cypher.
God has blessed me with contestant support of my loved
once.
