April 2016 Bulletin

April for Flipbook

And just as Christ was raised from the
dead by the glorious power of the
Father, now we also may live new lives.
Since we have been united with him in
his death, we will also be raised to
life as he was.

Romans 6:4-5

April 2016

Welcome

A Message from Pastor Jason New to Galilee?
Dear Friend,
Easter is the holiest day of the Let us know you’re here by filling out
Christian calendar. But is it a Connection Card in worship.
important? Are our lives really
transformed by God’s power We’d love to know you better and tell
because Christ died and was you about ministries and groups that
resurrected? Do we feel freer
because of it? Less fearful? may interest you.
More blessed?
Maybe a good way to think about
it is to answer this question for
yourself: How would you feel if
it was you who died—and came
back?
Join us in worship as we roll away
the stone to examine how life is
different on this side of the empty
tomb. Our sermon series will be
supplemented by Max Lucado’s
book “It’s Not about Me.”
In Christ,

Jason Duley, Pastor

The Chapel at Lansdowne Woods

A Message from Pastor Matt Everyone Is Welcome!
Dear Friend,
Galilee’s Grow Hour, the period Chapel Worship Service:
between Sunday services when we Sundays at 10am
meet in small groups, has been a
great blessing to our church. Did you 19375 Magnolia Grove Square
know that the Chapel has a Grow Lansdowne, VA 20176
Hour too? At Lansdowne, we meet 703.430.2203
after worship in a small group that
wrestles with this faith of ours. We
ask intriguing and often difficult
questions about our faith. Beginning
on April 10th, we will tackle questions
that pop up when people are being
skeptical. We will discuss questions
such as: Can only one religion be
true? Why is there suffering and
evil? Was Jesus’ resurrection real?
And how about this one: Why do
Christians disagree about so many
things?
If you are still looking to find your
place in the Grow Hour, know that
we also have a Grow Hour at the
Chapel We begin April 10 from
11:45 to 12:45. We would love to
welcome you!
In Christ,

Matt Sergent, Associate Pastor
