SENT
Though he was God, he did not think of
equality with God as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
He humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him
to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, in heaven
and on earth and under the ea rth,
and every tongue declare that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:6-11

The Chapel at Lansdowne Woods
A Message from Pastor Matt Everyone Is Welcome!
Dear Friend,
I think—and right about now you Chapel Worship Service:
probably agree—that Christmas Sundays at 10am
is the busiest time of the year.
While I love this holiday, I also 19375 Magnolia Grove Square
know the yearning for peace that Lansdowne, VA 20176
can appear in its long run-up. 703.858.7000 - Office
Yet peace is not the absence of
busy-ness. Peace can be seen
as a quiet escape from activity
or trouble, but genuine peace is
much more than a vacation.
If we look for peace in outward
circumstances, we will most
likely be disappointed. True peace
begins in the heart. It is the spirit
of Christ
Jesus, our “Prince of Peace,”
who dwells there and brings us
comfort and joy, and yes, peace.
No matter how busy you are this
season, I hope you remember
where real peace begins.
In Christ,
Matt Sergent, Associate Pastor
