The School is the place where students begin to gather subject knowledge as well as lessons of Life.
As Educators we need to incorporate such activities that help the all-round development of each
child. We Educators being facilitators should always encourage each child to develop their special
fields of interest. We should realize the fact that all the students do not have the same talents and to
each one will achieve success differently. So let us all together try to mould up the inborn talents and
thereby nurture them to be a good citizen.

The Covid pandemic has affected educational system ,leading to the total closure of schools ,but the
Education System has to go on and we have introduced the online system of Education. Our school
has implemented online platform of MS Teams, and have introduced Fliplearn Contents as well as
Hey Math. Maximum care have been taken by the teachers to cope up with the situation and I
appreciate each teacher for the effort taken in dealing small children. Hope and Pray the school

life that might never encounter otherwise.

Greetings from the Marian Parent Teacher Association

At a time where the world is facing a global pandemic, when school
life is restricted to digital screens, Marian Senior Secondary School
primary section is aptly handling the situation in a very student-
centered manner with regular online classes, examinations and
evaluations. Marian School is an institution that strongly believes that
education is not just gained from textbooks but also through
experience. In Primary classes extra-curricular activities such as quiz
competitions, painting, colouring, art classes, gardening and other
projects were effectively implemented along with the academic side
of education. Programs like Onam celebrations,Gandhi jayanti,Reading
day,Grand parent's day,Hindi day,Teacher's day were conducted online
and made a live feel for the primary kids. Both the teachers and
parents are working hand in hand for the overall upliftment of the
School. As the President of the Parent Teacher Association of Marian
School, I wish you all success.
Thank you
Adv Hariprabha
President ,PTA.

Penning down this note to cherish our journey from 2015 with “Marian
School - Temple Of Education”.

Marian School has been very instrumental in nurturing & catering to the
overall growth of its students. The primary section teachers have ensured
this beautiful relation wasn’t compromised & complete support & love
was shared to the tiny tots through online platform.

Classes still begins with a prayerful submission, lessons of discipline and
morals which is highly appreciated. The zeal and pleasing attitude of the
teachers attract the attention of the little ones from the wider home
atmosphere to the classroom atmosphere through ‘online screen’.

The interactive light moments, birthday wishes and encouragements during
class has helped parents and kids to know their fellow students & their
families well.
With regular revisions for academic excellence & wide variety of innovative
methods for extra curricular activities, the teachers continue to inspire
the kids for healthy competition.

The extra effort that our teachers take to give personal attention especially
for students who need more support & right guidance is highly appreciated.

Till date they have ensured no compromise on this beautiful relation with
their tiny tots inspite of the challenges owing to the pandemic.
Lastly, our kids are praying and hoping to overcome the pandemic and be
back to the “Temple Of Education - Marian School” for greater fun, freedom
and fellowship!!

During this pandemic time, sending a child to school was really
challenging. Virtual classes has introduced a new way of
learning. At Marian Senior Secondary school, learning with fun
made the process more convenient. My 4 Year old son was able
to learn “his first letters “ at his own pace. Teachers are really
kind and supportive providing individual attention to each
student. Class teacher has always encouraged students to
participate in all activities.

With rhymes and various activities learning was made more
exciting. I wholeheartedly thank each of the faculty members
for their selfless effort in bringing the best out of each child .

As most parents we too were in search of school that would provide
children with quality education in a child-friendly environment.
Regarding Marian, the comments that we received from both the
children and the parents of our neighbourhood were all positive ones.
Truly speaking, not even a singlebridge negative comment did they
give. So happy that we could take the right decision and that our child
got admission in LKG. Though the classes are online our child gets
benefitted to a great extent. Every child is given care and attention.
The teachers are so dedicated that they never fail to take special classes
for the children who are unable to attend regular classes. A big salute
to the Team Marian...!

We heard very good responses about Marian senior secondary
school from old students of this school and so I admitted both my
elder and younger kids there. I am very much happy with school
teachers and all staff members of Marian Senior Secondary School. The
experienced teachers of Marian motivate their students, teach them
responsibility, hold their attention and build moral values too. Thank
you for helping my son to improve his learning skills, extra-curricular
activities, language and his confidence level. “Great school with a
powerful teacher strength” - my children love the school very much.
As a result, they became very responsible on their work and improved
their language also. When this online classes started we were worried
how the small children will cope up as it is a new concept but today I
want to thank you all to connect our children to E-learning mode and
giving best study materials and explanations to them. Teachers of
Marian have a unique way to mould their students to his/her
maximum, the special way of presentations conquered the heart of
each student. The teachers are very much supportive for both
Mr. Jayan C Nair, Father of Devdutt Jayan students and parents. As a parent we appreciate your great efforts
Class 1. Mob: 8129101074 and all care extended to our dear little ones. Thank you so much.

My son Ray Mathew Bibin who had completed grade 1 in Dubai, was
enrolled in the academic year 2021-2022 to grade 2 in Marian school. Since
it was during this pandemic and we are residing in Dubai currently, in the
beginning we had our own doubts and challenges about how he would be
coping with the new school. With time, we understood that all our concerns
were in vain. The teachers are excellent, amazing and very friendly. Ray was
introduced to two new languages, Hindi and Malayalam. His language
teachers do an excellent job by taking basic lessons for him. The online classes
are well organized and there is a unique child centred approach in the
teaching methodology. Ray feels very comfortable and at ease with his
academics and curriculum. The management is very efficient and we
appreciate the prompt response of all teachers related to the queries about
academics. Looking forward to meet each and every one of the staff and
management when the school reopens. We are very confident that this
Bitty Annamma Kuriakose school will contribute to the overall growth of my child and help in achieving
Mother of Ray Mathew Bibin- Class 2 his goals.

The Online classes provided by Marian School are Outstanding. In the beginning, I
was worried about the effectiveness of online classes. But the approachable and
caring mentality of her Class teacher and all other subject teachers helped us to get
used to this online system and they were always just a call away to clear any doubts.
They made my child comfortable and hence she was able to grasp the classes quickly.
All special days were virtually celebrated and the children were encouraged to
participate in all programs. After the introduction of Microsoft teams this academic
year, classes were more interactive and my child enjoyed spending more time with
her class teacher and other teachers and classmates .Live Onam programs made
this online experience more colorful and vibrant. The full fledged support of school
management and the hard work of dedicated teachers made the online classes very
lively and effective. Thank you All.

As a parent when I took admission for my child in Marian School I believed that he
would be safe and there would be intellectual and emotional growth for my child. My
expectations were completely satisfied and the School ensures maintenance of discipline
even in the online platform. Children complete their assigned works on time , they
obey their teachers and give value to their advices. Teachers are the assets for the
students, they are helpful and understanding and I am thankful to each one of them. I
am satisfied and happy with the choice that I made by admitting my child to Marian
School.

I would like to share my feelings and thoughts about the fourth standard
Teachers and their classes. I always sit with my kid and listen to all of his classes
from beginning to the end. May be because I was a teacher I love listening to
the classes. Teachers love and affection for the children are remarkable. Each
teacher patiently explains his or her subjects to the children in great deal. All
the teachers in the 4th standard are patient, dedicated and resourceful. I am
of the opinion that the teaching of all the teachers are excellent and
commendable. In short, I am fully satisfied with the 4th standard classes in
which my grandson studies. Those two hours of a day are the happiest
moments of my life and it takes me back to my old days. May the school prosper
again and again. Let the children who are studying there now and the children
who have studied here be the smartest. Let the school be a beacon of hope for Mrs. K Jagadamma,
the coming generation. I express my heartfelt wishes and prayers for the Grand Mother of Adwaith
Manoj-Class 4.
betterment and on going progress of the school.

My Online Class

Ethan Cherian Sebastian- Class 2 A
As Covid 19 pandemic hit the entire world the education system was badly
impacted. At this situation the idea of online class was brought into restart
the affected system. Initially online classes were not that effective as
compared to our normal classes . Due to internet issues and other
disturbances in the online class I was a bit disappointed as I didn’t feel as
interactive as normal classes. But gradually all these issues got fixed as
teachers put in a lot of effort to make it more perfect. Teachers made online
classes more interesting by asking questions , make us read , clarifying
doubts, conducting test papers , assignments and other activities. Since I
am in my home I get more time to spend with my parents , grand parents
and play with my siblings. But still I am eagerly waiting for things to come
back to normal. So that I can meet my dear teachers and friends. I really
appreciate my dear teachers for the great support and effort.

What Covid Taught Me

What Covid Taught Me
What Covid Taught Me
Swani Aleya Aju- Class 3 B
During lockdown days, I understood the real value of freedom and longed very
much to step outside. Covid taught me about SMS (social distancing, mask,
sanitizer), Oximeter, PPE kits, vaccines and a lot more. I became used to online
modes of technology like Teams, Zoom, Google meet etc for my education and
also for communication with my relatives and friends. When I was bored I
started reading many books and now I have improved myself a lot and books
have become my best friends.
I became more health conscious and I started exercising, doing yoga along
with online keyboard and dance classes. I understood more family values and
learnt more about my surroundings. According to me Covid means
C –Co operation
O- Obedience to law,
V- Values
I-Intimacy
D- Discipline
Overall Covid has taught me to become a better and responsible human being.

My Lock-down Days

Daniel Lenin. Class - 4A
When the lock-down was announced in March 2020, I was in Hyderabad. As we
were residing in an apartment, lock-down did not have much effect on me. After
two months, we drove back to Kerala. The two-day long journey and quarantine in
Kerala, are memorable experiences. Lock-down days gave me quality time with
my parents, brother, grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunties. It became a time
of online school, church, Sunday school, office and other meetings. I got some
pets and hands-on experience in farming. My health improved too and for the last
one and a half years, I did not have a hospital visit due to fever. More time was
spent on video games, reading books and comics. Thus, the lock-down days resulted
in my relocation to a new place, house and school.

I am Mrs. Mini, Teacher in the primary section since 1997. When I Joined
here I was a bit confused to be there in the primary section because I was
teaching in the higher classes before. But once I started taking the class I
could realise the love and affection of small kids which made me continue
here all these years.
We, the teachers of primary section can understand the heartbeat of every
kids who come to our class. They always share the news about their brothers
and sisters, grandparents and the little things that they come across on the
way to school. They are so innocent that they even share the silly arguments
their parents do have at home. We always enjoy being with them. The
teachers here give them motherly love and affection rather than being a
‘teacher’ who frightens the students with their big spectacles and cane in
hand. Each teacher in the primary section try to find the hidden talents of
every student and nurture it.
We are having online classes for the past one and a half years and this
pandemic taught us how important our students are in our lives. We miss
their presence by our side though we see them online. We also have a good
set of parents who support us in all our ventures. Waiting to be with our
lovely butterflies in the Marian garden as early as possible.
I thank God Almighty for giving me a chance to be a part of Marian family all
these years and the years to come.
Wishing all the very best for our News Bulletin 2021

Thank You
Mrs. Mini Mol K S
