Juried Art Show “The Poppies Grow”

An art exhibition in honour of the 100th Anniversary of the poem, “In Flanders Field” by
Col. John McCrae. Using the poppy or WW1 as inspiration, the exhibit will highlight the
talents of artists in a variety of art forms.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works including ceramics,
sculpture, paintings, drawings, photography, prints and mixed media in all creative
processes and forms are eligible.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

February 4, 2015 Entry deadline. All works, entry forms and payments must
be received between 1:00 and 4:00 pm at Annandale NHS,
Tillsonburg
Artists who have not been accepted will be notified by email
after 6:00 pm.

February 5, 2015 Works not accepted may be picked up at Annandale
between 10 am and 3:00 pm..

February 13th, 2015 Opening reception, 7:30 pm, Pratt Gallery, Annandale NHS

May 3rd, 2015 Show ends.

May 5th, 2015 All work must be picked up between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
People's Choice Award winners announced and awarded.

SHOW RULES
After work has been accepted, substitutions may not be made. Artwork must remain in
the gallery for the entire exhibit. No early withdrawals. Works must not exceed 48 x 48
inches.

FEES AND COMMISSION
The entry fee is $15 for up to two works. Payments will be collected when the works are
delivered to the gallery. You may pay by cash or cheque. (Cheques made payable to
Oxford Creative Connections Inc.) Payment must be delivered with your work or your
work will not be presented. Entry fees are non-refundable.

There is no commission on sales, although Annandale Museum appreciates any
donations.

Work not for sale must be clearly marked NFS.

People's Choice Award – 1st Place: $200 and a free OCCI membership ($50 value)
People's Choice Award – 2nd Place: $100 and a free OCCI membership ($50 value)

ADMISSION
Opening Day by donation. All other times $2.00 per person.
Gallery open Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm, Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm.
