4 Step 4: Define Your “WHY”
Why are you doing this business? Knowing, understanding and being able to share your
WHY will help you build your business.
Sharing your WHY with potential Customers will help them understand how
important it is to you that they become your Customer.
Sharing your WHY with potential Consultants will help you connect to what their
WHY might be. It makes it personal.
Sharing this WHY with your Sponsor and your Senior and Executive Consultants
will help them mentor you most effectively.
Do not skip this step. Your WHY is what will get you through the slumps that
come with building any business. It will be your reason to stay committed to what
you have started.

5 Step 5: Become Your Own First Customer (if you are in an area
that Ambit serves)

Complete the third party verification process by calling 1-800-506-3151.
6 Step 6: Link Your New Ambit Energy Account with Your
Consultant ID
Log in to your Power Zone and follow the link "Sign Up to Earn Free
Energy.....click here to register" at the top of the home page.
Complete the steps to link your Ambit Customer account number with your
Consultant ID number.
Completing this process allows you to be eligible for the "Free Energy" program
that is available to all Ambit Customers.
7 Step 7: Three Way Calling
Know how to use the three way calling feature on your phone. If you do not have this feature,
add it! This is an invaluable tool in helping you get answers to questions and bring in upline
support when you are talking to prospective Consultants.

8 Step 8: Earn Your First Bonuses by Duplicating the Process
Outlined in Step 5 to Enroll Four More Customers
Make a list of 10 people who would do you a favor (no questions asked!).
Focus on your relationship with these people, not the facts and figures.
Do not try to sell the service based on price or perks. Let them know you’re
doing them a favor.
Use the following script:
CUSTOMER GATHERING SCRIPT
1- Contact
Call prospective Customer.
"_______, I need your help and it's really important to me, do you have just a
couple of minutes?"
"If it wouldn't cost you anything, wouldn't cause you any inconvenience and
would actually save you some money, would you let me do you a favor?"
2- Presenting the Service
"I've started my own business because (insert your WHY here). I'm working
with Ambit Energy helping people like you save money on their energy bills."
"There is no cost to become a Customer, your savings are guaranteed in
writing, there is no contract to sign, no interruption in service...in fact, the only
thing that changes is that you will be paying less for your energy."
"Would you help me out by becoming my Customer?"
If yes, follow the process you completed when enrolling yourself. You do not
need to go into any more detail about rates, travel rewards, referral program,
etc. Move right into the sign up process outlined in Step 5.
If no, say “thanks” and move on to the next person on your list.
9 Step 9: Develop Your Written Prospect List
This is a critical step for your success. This list is your “inventory” and should be
continually evolving and growing. It is the number one tool you have to begin growing
your business!

You do not need to know their last name or even their first name. "The guy at the
post office" will do!
You know more people than you think. If you got paid $100 for every name you
could think of, how big would your list be?
Use the attached “memory jogger” and included record sheets to assist you
10 Step 10: Prioritize Your Written List Using the #1, #2, #3 System
Number each person on your List as a 1, 2, or 3.
“1” are people who you think are highly likely to want to join your Ambit business. “2” are people
who you are not sure about. “3” are people on your “Chicken List” (people who you would love
to talk to but are too terrified to approach!) Remember, we’re Executive Consultants and were
on National Consultant Chanan Oxenhandler’s Chicken List!
11 Step 11: Don't Talk About the Business Opportunity... YET!
You’re excited, we know. We were, too. Let us help you avoid the mistakes we made
early on in our business. Once you have completed steps 1-10, you’ll have generated
your first paycheck and be on your way to building a successful business with Ambit
Energy. Before you talk to anyone on your list about this opportunity, please take the
time to watch 2 more videos, and then you’re ready to go! Go to Ambit University on
your Power Zone and click on:
1. Jumpstart Training 101. In this half-hour program you’ll learn how to sponsor your
first Consultants and get a jumpstart on your road to financial freedom.
2. The Invitation 205. In 6 minutes, you’ll learn about the most important tool to get
prospective Consultants to see the business presentation.

12 Step 12: Show the Business and Quickly Promote to Regional
Consultant
Show this business to the people whom you wrote down in your list. The amount of money you
make is in direct proportion to the number of times you show this business per week. There are
many ways to show the Business Plan. You can sit with your prospect and go to www.[your
handle].energy526.com, view Shalom’s webinar or the Success from Home Magazine DVD.
Determine to show the plan to at least 1 new person every day using the system and then bring
a new guest to a big local meeting at least once a week.
As quickly as possible, promote to Regional Consultant by personally enrolling at least 2
Marketing Consultants then helping those Consultants add 4 more Marketing Consultants to
your team. Understand, however, why it’s even better to sponsor all 6 Marketing Consultants
yourself.
13 Step 13: Duplicate this System with All New Consultants
Review this Fast Track to Success system with every new Consultant who comes into your
business and then teach them to teach their downline Consultants to do the same. This will
create duplication and momentum…the keys to Ambit success!

14 Step 14: Plug into the System!
1. Attend live meetings and training sessions.
2. Familiarize yourself with the Success from Home Magazine (NC Chanan
Oxenhandler edition with EC Shalom Lamm on the cover) and use it as a credibility and
follow up tool. Order magazines through your Power Zone (the Ambit Store) and always
keep a supply with you.
3. Use Shalom’s Business Presentation webinar if a prospective consultant cannot
attend a live meeting.
4. Hone your Ambit skills by going to www.topambitleaders.com, Ambit University and
the training links in ambitfamily.com.
5. Become a frequent listener to weekly conference calls to get educated and motivated
every week. Enter these numbers into your phone and set a phone alarm to remind you
of these calls.
