From the Director,

Kari Gorr

With every year, I become increasingly
excited for the arrival of fall. Recently, I’ve
discovered that fellow autumn-lovers have
begun crea ng fall “bucket lists.” Popular
ac vi es o en seen on these lists include a
trip to the apple orchard or pumpkin patch,
crea ng fall cra s, and making and tas ng
fall-themed recipes and treats. Has ngs Community Educa on can
help you create your fall bucket list with our upcoming classes for all
members of your family to enjoy. Here are just a few ideas to include
on your list:
· 30-Day Whole Food Clean Ea ng Challenge
· 12 Quick & Easy Ways to Style Your Daughter’s Hair for Busy Parents
· Historic Cemetery Walking Tour
· Mastering the Scone in the Kitchen of the LeDuc Historic Estate
We hope you’ll join us this fall for any of our great offerings!

Happy Harvest!

Love and Discipline NEW Ann Makena Daggett

Discipline is important for maximizing your child’s poten al and be er rela onship

with parent/s and others. Love and Discipline go hand in hand together. Discipline for

correc on is done out of love. When a child is not raised with appropriate behavior to fit

the society, they end up suffering the effects of that no ma er how much we believe we

love them. Self-Discipline is training your child to consciously make choices that benefit

them even when the choices are not desirable now. How can we go about bringing out

this character in our children for the success in a aining their life goals now and in their

future? Includes discipline in all areas of life. Min. 4/Max. 20

Boundaries NEW Ann Makena Daggett

Paren ng should always be parents — and children should always be children — in a

parent-child rela onship raising them. Once this role is diminished, future rela onships

are at jeopardy including yours with your child. Our children don’t need a friend or a

peer in their parent. They need a parent. Why is lack of boundaries bad for your child?

Why do some parents compromise boundaries with their children? How can that be

resolved for your child’s sake? Min. 4/Max. 20

apricot, co age cheese, poppy seed or prune; they can be shaped into small rounds,
square “ ed packages”, or filled turnovers. Make varia ons and taste samples. Plan to
