Made to Fit

Volume 2, Issue 10

Go RVing this Weekend

You have unparalleled control on the destination
Staying at a hotel room with a view can cost you dearly. With a motorhome you can have the
same experience at a fraction of the cost. Traveling in a motorhome you get to choose where
you want to go, and how you want to get there. Want to take a detour through a scenic
route? Do it! Want to spend the night beside a calm lake under the stars? No one is stopping
you! With a motorhome, you can design your own adventure along the way!

You get all the benefits of the great outdoors
When you are traveling in a motorhome, you get to enjoy nature and fresh air and spend
your time exploring the great outdoors. Visit beaches, mountains, lakes, rivers, woods and
everything in between. Tour national parks, go fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, trail biking,
rock climbing or anything else!

You can bring your pet along
It does not seem fair to leave your pet at a neighbor’s place or at a day care center when the
rest of your family travels the countryside. Most hotels don’t allow pets, but in a motorhome
you get to set the rules! Since it’s a home on wheels most pets adjust perfectly to the lifestyle
of a motorhome.

You get to bond with your family
In the end, a trip is more about the memories you create than the trip itself. A motorhome
provides the perfect opportunity for that! Sharing an adventure on the road creates memories
that last a lifetime. Don’t take our word for it. See what a motorhome trips has to offer and
get out on the road this weekend.

S’more Memories

How to Light a Perfect Campfire and Make a Perfect S’more
Planning to go on RVing? Well RVing is not much fun without campfires and s’mores! But are you aware of
the dos and don’ts of lighting the perfect campfire or roasting the perfect s’more treat? You might have done
it when you were in school, however lack of practice for years may have made you a little rusty. But don’t
worry – this article is your guide to learn to build a nice camp fire and also make some awesome s’more
sweets which can rival the best Swiss chocolates!

Rules of Making a Campfire
When you are making a fire, you need to be careful. Follow all the safety rules, because a raging fire in the
wild is very difficult to contain. If there is a designated area in the park for lighting a fire, do it there. Other-
wise, try to stay away from wild shrubs and bushes as well as dead grass. If you are not sure whether light-
ing a fire is safe in the area or not, then ask the local authority. Only after getting their consent should you
build a fire.

As you probably know, a campfire requires three important ingredients. You need tinder, kindling and fire
wood. Tinder catches fire quickly but also burns out fast. To keep the flame alive, you need kindling which
has an ability to last for a long time. Fire wood keeps your fire hot and helps you to control the intensity.
To build the perfect fire, place your tinder in the middle of campfire site, above the tinder form a tepee with
your kindling. Fires need oxygen – if you smother a fire it will get smoky and can ruin the whole experience.

Ignite the tinder with a fire starter. Continue adding kindling, slowly increasing the size of the kindling (being
careful not to smother the fire). Soon you should be adding your fire wood to the blaze (be sure to keep the
tepee structure). After a while your tepee structure will collapse, leaving only hot coals – this is what you will
need for making the perfect s’more!

Create Your S’more
Now that the hot coals are ready it’s time to focus your attention on the s’mores. Traditionally, a s’more
consists of a marshmallow that has been roasted and then inserted between a layer of milk chocolate and
graham crackers. You will need to have all these in stock and also carry fire skewers. Homemade marsh-
mallows make the treat more authentic but the ones available at the store roast easily.

Skewer your marshmallows and slowly toast them over the coals – patience is key. Place a chocolate slice
on a cracker and as a marshmallow turns golden brown, put it on the chocolate and then press it hard using
another graham cracker. The marshmallow heat will quickly start to melt the chocolate. Enjoy!

Lighting a campfire and sitting around it with your family and friends is fun enough. Getting to eat lovely
s’mores seems to be a blessing of God. Enjoy!
