11-B
Many will remember the year 2012 for its links with the London Olympics, but for me it was the year you all
aligned to form one of the greatest tutor groups ever. There have been a number of significant changes along
the way, what was the smallest tutor group with only 22 students back in September 2012 swelled to 30
(including the well-loved Grace Leaman). Without these significant additions to the group we would never
have enjoyed such moments as Zico’s blonde afro (he didn’t make it to registration the morning of the photo
above, nor did Master Timmis or Leah!.......or Grace…).
Now it is time to move on. So many incredible talents amongst you all, I am positive you can all be a huge
success. Many of you will leave us now to pursue alternative education, Hannah to college, Ayo will be a
basketball legend in the US, Milly Dunn (will never stop talking) to college, Aaron one day a Red Devil, Tom an
Olympic kayak champion, Niamh off to explore Brighton, Sophina as a dental assistant, Eve to college, Zico the
University chef, Will to college, Anna Tickell to college in Denmark, we will certainly miss those whose paths lie
elsewhere and wish them the best of luck in their endeavours.
The rest of you will stay for sixth form and start your next chapter here. Bartholomew school is once again
lucky enough to keep a large majority of the wonderful potential that you all have as a tutor group. You will
each move on to new tutor groups and explore new and exciting avenues of learning. I hope to have the
pleasure of teaching some of you still in A-Level Geography, but hope the rest of us can remain friends, I do
consider you all friends as I hope you do to me and each other. As your friend I will always be here for you
should you need me.
Never forget to enjoy your lives, look after the ones you love and the ones you don’t and always try your best. I
hope you are able to look back on our time together with fond memories. Your lives won’t always go to plan,
but I hope they are happy and fulfilling lives. I miss you all already, from the bottom of my heart I wish you all
the best in life.
