04 PROGRAMME A: Starter Skills Training Programme PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME: Industry Entry: To advance the career path of individuals seeking to enter the beauty industry by putting basic, entry level skills in place. Lateral Career Development: To advance the career path of individuals who are employed in positions such as front office, administration, housekeeping, and waitressing. They have not had fundamental training from formal institutions. Community Upliftment: To give women in underprivileged communities the opportunity to develop a career path in the Spa & Beauty Industry by putting a skill set in place supporting a sustainable career path. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum qualification of Grade 10 • Must have Fundamental Numeracy & English Literacy as achieved • Must be older than 18 years


Available for South Africans and Non-South African Citizens / Residents. NOTE: Non-South African citizens/ residents will not be eligible for SAQA Credits on the NLRD, and will not receive Service SETA certification. On completion and after successful assessment they will be awarded a Certificate of Competence from the Amani Training Academy, which is recognised by all industry partners. The Amani Training Academy is an Accredited Training Provider by all relevant governing bodies. Horizontal Progression: Spa Attendant Spa Receptionist Level One Therapist At least 12 months work experience in a spa environment, but no formal qualification. 06 PROGRAMME B: PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME: Skills development for individuals who have informal training and work experience in the spa industry: To advance the career path of individuals in your company, who have not had formal training, but have already gained working experience and in-house training. Through the development of Brand Standards, as well as Operational and Treatment SOPs, additional training enhances existing skills. Skills development for qualified therapists: Upskilling, correcting gaps in fundamental training, and enhancing the current skill set. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum qualification of Grade 10 • Must have Fundamental Numeracy & English Literacy as achieved • Must be older than 18 years • Informal workplace training in a spa Bespoke Training Programme This programme is customised around your business, taking into consideration your brand identity, strategy and standards. The aim is to streamline and enhance your operation by incorporating Amani’s foundational brand and operational standards. Consistent support ensures sustainable, efficient and profitable business solutions, with a focus on delivering an unparalleled guest experience.

Retail product knowledge Vertical Progression: Spa Therapist (Has a minimum 2 year diploma qualification, and at least 2 years work experience) Senior Therapist Mentor 07 PROGRAMME BENEFITS: We create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that systematically covers every aspect of the operation. We develop bespoke treatment menus, supported by comprehensive SOPs for all treatments. Should a hotel or lodge not have a Spa, Amani is able to customise this solution for a Mobile Spa Operation, for an in-room/tent spa offering with a collection of Spa treatments.


08 Driven by a lifelong commitment to empowering lives in the Spa & Wellness industry, I've dedicated the past three decades to teaching and developing women. Shortly after graduating as a beauty therapist 34 years ago, I recognised my calling was in education, and it has been the essence of my career ever since. In 2000, I identified a dire need in the market for quality beauty schools, and founded my own college. Over the years, I expanded to eight schools and franchises, with a focus on developing top-class therapists. In 2018 my journey took an exciting turn when I joined the Amani Spa & Wellness Group as Group Training Director. Being part of a company whose core is centred around impact and empowerment resonates with me on a very deep level both personally and professionally. We share the belief that women play a transformative role in shaping communities and societies. The opportunity to contribute the experience and expertise necessary to obtain accreditation for the Amani Training Academy has been a highlight of my career. We are on a mission to inspire and empower people to transform their lives by improving the quality of education and skills development training across Africa, with a focus on soft skills training and wellness interventions in all of our programmes.
