INTRODUCTION

A valueless plants growing wild , especially one that grows on cultivated ground to the exclusion or injury of the

desired crop or any undesirable or troublesome plant, especially one that grows profusely where it is not wanted .
Weed, general term for any plant growing where it is not wanted. Ever since humans first attempted the cultivation of

plants, they have had to fight the invasion by weeds into areas chosen for crops. Some unwanted plants later were

found to have virtues not originally suspected and so were removed from the category of weeds and taken under
cultivation. Other cultivated plants, when transplanted to new climates, escaped cultivation and became weeds

or invasive species . The category of weeds thus is ever changing, and the term is a relative one.

CONCIEVE

Weeding is an important control method practiced in many

crops. The removal of weeds is useful because these

unwanted plants compete with the crop for space, water

and nutrients. Weeds tend to grow quickly, and they

ultimately compete with other plants for space, moisture

and nutrients. You plant your garden or yard carefully,

thinking of spacing and sun, so when a destructive, thirsty

weed enters the picture, you likely didn't account for water

and space that would be sucked up by your plants' new

neighbor. Even in terms of grass, when weeds pop up,

they're fighting your lawn for the water it so desperately

needs, particularly in the hot summer months.

DESIGN

Laser-based weeding is an ecological alternative to chemical herbicides

Our system uses multi-spectral sensors
and state of the art computer vision

algorithms to detect and classify all

plants on the field. After identifying the
weed plants, a laser beam will be used

to eliminate or to seriously damage the
weeds. In this way, value crops can grow

without the competition from weed and
have higher yields because all available

nutrients do not have to be shared.

IMPLEMENT

Laser beams, if directed towards weeds, can be used as an effective weed

control method. They can deliver high-density energy on selected spots, which

will burn the plant tissue, leading to the death of the plant. The above sketch

describes the three main parts of the system: data acquisition from cameras,

image analysis (image processing and plant detection) and laser system.

Our technology’s advantages are:

❖ it is eco-friendly.

❖ it is accurate and effective.

❖ it does not depend on soil conditions.

weeds do not develop tolerances.

OPERATE

This laser beam will scan and

detect the weed that disturbs

other plant growth. The laser will

burn the weed until the root and

this method is very effective. This

laser will not harm the nutrient

contained in the soil.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we can tell that weeding is important because it

can harm nutrients in another plant. In this day, many

technologies were made to solve this problem. We choose the

laser method because it uses less energy and did not harm the

plant. This method also can use in small farm or bigger. We

suggested this method for all farmer because it is easy to use.

Weeding should be done 2-3 times, whenever weeds start to

grow again. Weed should be controlled in the initial stage.
