needed to get educated. But the thought
was quite daunting because I was older, I
had limited knowledge of anatomy and

“The bridging programme gave me the academic

Incidentally, Mrs Black’s son is completing his final year of

Mrs Black is now looking forward to joining the NZNO team.

“Chairing Te Rūnanga Tauira is an opportunity to advocate

Local Business
supporting
local people……

Professionals Whakatane have been in local business for almost 60 years and in
that time have supported numerous local clubs and charities. Their belief is that
locals should support local and similarly with local businesses.

There are a myriad of worthy groups and charities all needing funding to
assist with their special projects or even just to survive. Those in business will
appreciate that hardly a week goes by without a member of the public asking for
your support. Whilst business owners would no doubt all like to be able to support
everyone, the existence of a money tree is a myth and sometimes it has to be the
head not the heart that makes decisions.

Professionals Whakatane’s belief is that they are locals, doing business with
locals and therefore they should support locally. Whilst their main charity is
the Child Cancer Foundation they support another 30 or more groups in the
community. With 59 years in local business they appreciate the support the
community has shown them and their plan is to continue to return this support.
