CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 Artistic Design in Gift Wrapping A. Wrapping Box B. Paper Bag Making Blossomsandposies 2021 apieceofrainbow 2020 Step 1: Use the scissors to trim a bit of wrapping paper rectangular in dimension. Ensure that the length is twice as long as the width. You could always cut the length afterward in the event that you want. Step 2: Fold the edges of the wrapping paper toward the center so that they overlap slightly. Tape the seam together for the whole length of this paper. Gift Wrap Tape is ideal to use, since it secures the newspaper seam effortlessly. Plus, it is tear-resistant so that you can be certain there will be no peeking! Step 3: Twist the base of the wrapping paper up to make the base of the present bag. The thickness of the fold ought to be approximately 1/2 of the width of this paper. By way of instance, if your wrap paper is 16 inches wide, then you will produce a fold 8 inches in the bottom. Step 4: Fold the paper again, this time producing a diamond shape by dividing the newspaper and pressing on the corners. Secure with the present wrap tape. Step 5: Twist the top and bottom pointed finishes indoors so they slightly overlap. Secure with tape. That is, it! Step 6: Punch holes and add your ribbon. Add the handles and decorate if desired. Gift Bag Wrapping Tips To be certain the present bag you produce retains up, keep these items in mind. • Moderate weight wrap paper is perfect since it is sturdy, but not hard to fold. • Your luggage must be twice as tall as it is broad. • These gift bags aren’t suggested for things that are extraordinarily tall or heavy. • You may always put in a sheet of cardboard into the base of the bag to make it sturdier. • If something seems flimsy, add tape! Present Bags Decorating Ideas Now that you have learned how to create a gift bag from wrapping paper, it is time to decorate it! It’s possible to use fun ribbon, washer tape, letters, gift tags, candy, stickers, and even a fairly photograph.

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 Decorative Articles to enhance Gift Items A. Ribbon Making Rosette What you need: • Ribbons • Thread • Scissors 1. From the left side of the folded portion begin ribbon scroll inside. 2. Rolujeme until we come to the end of the bent part of the ribbon. 3. We turn to bow out to form our first petal roses. 4. And again, we rolujeme. 5. Ribbon again we turn to the outside are, scroll. Repeat several times. 6. In the middle of us while sticking petals as follows. 7. Pull the end of the ribbon, which immerses the first petals inside. 8. Rose thereby becomes more beautiful shape. Thinkbowtique 2015

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 Twisted Trim 1. Take the end of your ribbon and bring it around to the center of your crease line. 2. Repeat with the other end. Put a hair clip on the edge just to hold it. 3. Take your needle and push it through the top two ends of ribbon. Just a little this is just to hold the ribbons together. You should be able to lift up one side leaving the clip in place and slip in the needle. 4. Take the middle of your loop. You can pull on the loop to check your center. 5. Bring your center in and place it in the middle of your figure 8 6. Do the same with the other side. Now this is where I tweaked it a little. Make sure both your straight edges are on top of each other. Not just overlapping. As you can see in the photo, I placed a hair clip to the side of the center on both sides. This is the back of your bow. 7. Now turn your bow over to the front. Pull on each loop to open them up more. 8. Once you have your loops in the positions you want you can pull the needle back out.

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 9. Now thread your needle through creating your valley and peeks. 10.Using your method of gathering the center. I use crochet thread and wrap around tie a loop like you do your shoe laces. With an extra loop and pull tight. 11.I like to place the thread on each side of my needle so it pulls evenly. 12.The trick to a good twisted boutique is having your ribbon with two straight at the back and the cross at the front. https://thinkbowtique.com/blog/how-to-make-a-twisted-boutique-hair-bow/ Spring Bow Rainbow Materials • Ribbon (approx. 3 yards) • Ribbon wire (or floral wire) • Scissors • Wire cutters Instructions 1. Curl ribbon over to create the center loop and pinch it at the base. Twist the tail of ribbon where your fingers are pinched so that the front side of the fabric is facing up.

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 2. Fold the ribbon under to make the first loop. Twist the ribbon to make the front side face out and pinch it in the center. 3. Fold the ribbon on the opposite side of the first loop to create the second loop. Hold up both loops to make sure they are the same length. Twist and pinch the ribbon. 4. Begin the second set of loops using the same method as the first set. Use your fingers to measure the loops, keeping them at the same length. 5. Continue folding loops and twisting the ribbon until you have five loops on each side. 6. Insert ribbon wire through the center loop and wrap around to the back. Before tightening the wire, make sure the ribbon tail is folded back so that the front side of the fabric is facing toward the front of the bow. Leaving one end of the wire longer than the other, tightly twist the wire together at least 3 times. Don’t cut the wire just yet.

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 7. Trim the ribbon tail to your desired length. Feed the remaining ribbon through the center loop at least as high as the loops are long. Grab the longer piece of wire from the back and insert it through the center loop over the ribbon and around to the back. 8. Tightly twist the wire together in the back, trim it, and flatten it down onto the bow. Next, trim the second ribbon tail to match the length of the first. 9. Arrange each loop up or down to fill out the full circle of the bow. 10. Trim the top tail to the same length as the loops. save-on-crafts 2018

CO_Q1_TLE 8_Handicraft_ Module 4 Flat Loop Bow 1. Make a loop ensuring the cut end (this will be the tail) is on the top and pinch to hold 2. Wrap the ribbon around the front to form a small loop (just like tying your shoe) and bring it round to the back. See how the underside of the ribbon is now showing? Give the ribbon a tight half-twist close to where you are pinching the center, so the printed side is uppermost and push it through the central loop as shown below to form the bow. 3. Gently pull on both loop ends to tighten the center knot. You can make adjustments here to ensure your bow is the size you require and that both tails are sitting flat. 4. Once you're satisfied, pull tight and trim the ends. 5. Add it to your project! With a bit of practice, you too will master the perfect flat bow. Casey Baumlin 2021
