Sultan Abu Bakar - The Legend of Johore
Out of all the leaders I chose for this competition, I chose the one and only Sultan Abu Bakar of Johore as His Highness’ story and tale was the most interesting to share with you about. During his reign as the Sultan of Johore, he brought much development and advancement to Johore such as expanding on the kangchu system that was pioneered by Daeng Ibrahim, establishing a Western-styled bureaucratic system for the state civil service and et cetera. His legacy of a legend of Johore continues on till today.
